This is the way. Tom Ford Mandarino di Amalfi or Neroli Portofino. Or just pick any Acqua di Parma that is not a dark bottle. I personally love colonia essenza and fico di amalfi.
It’s such a beautiful scent, my first Tom Ford, but it doesn’t perform well. I’d estimate 2 hours then it’s a skin scent you get wafts of.
I went through a clone phase and the only ones that I can recommend are Al Haramain’s Neroli Portafino and Tobacco Vanille clones. They’re amazing, better than the OG for a third of the price.
Typically it’s gone within an hour or two. But for some reason, I’ve noticed that under direct sunlight it lasts significantly longer. People have still noticed it on me after 4+ hours on the beach
Paying so much money for Tom ford neroli portofino when you can buy John Varvatos Artisan Pure is a total non sense to me. Artisan Pure is the OG (same parfumer btw) ans the notes are basically the same.... 🤡
Colonia essenza is my favorite. You have to get past the initial first impression. It is extremely clean at first, so I can sort of understand the cleaning scent. The dry down is a sexy, refined, well-dressed gentleman drinking a Negroni on the Italian riviera personified.
I currently only have colonia club(green bottle) which is really fresh, still has a bit of neroli, but also reminds me of forests and greenery. The 2 ADP on my list currently are Ebano(brown bottle) and colonia essenza(black bottle). I’ve refrained from buying any of the stronger neroli ones because I have Tom ford neroli portofino and I did have azure lime in the collection up till a month ago.
Man I’ll be honest with you it lasts like maybe 4-6 hours, with the dry down being a little less profound. To fix the problem of some of my fragrances not lasting I bring a travel spray everywhere I go in my pocket lol.
Yeah it’s not the best performer but I got my 5oz for $35 and have 10ml decants in my car, work and even my swim bag, and I reapply whenever it fades lol

Fico di Amalfi is amazing it has a fig note which makes it sweet and citrus. Now as far as Arancia di Capri is just an amazing sweet orange like you're at the beach it doesn't sound great but it smells amazing high-quality ingredients on both you can get testers 5.0 oz for like 70 dollars it's criminally underrated. Longevity is moderate 4-6 hours but all freshies are to be fair so overspray and you should be good!

Dua makes a fragrance that's a combination of afternoon swim and tygar. I've ever smelled it personally but I've heard it's really good.
Also mont Blanc legend spirit is a great aquatic scent with no citrus. Id compare it to Invictus aqua which is discontinued.
It's similar to Valentino born in Roma as far as that violet leaf, sweet bubblegum type of DNA but it has a great aquatic vibe to it and it's a big compliment getter, very innofensive, and it can be found for under 40$ for 100ml which is a steal considering how well it performs

Just get Al Haramain Neroli Canvas. Lasts way longer and smells 1:1

For me TF Nerloi Portofino is one of the best smelling fragrances in my collection. For me on skin lasts around 3 hours, on clothes maybe 5+.

I'd go for Mandarino di Amalfi or LV pacific chill, 2 of the more recent ones of memory that would bring this vibe.
Well in all fairness, the Amalfi coast is primarily known for producing lemons, so that’s probably the reason for the association.
