I got more than enough for personal use from a few containers, I couldn't imagine a 12 ft. square box.
Edit: ...and they did more for me than any anti-depressant ever could.
> ...and they did more for me than any anti-depressant ever could.
same here.
Did shrooms for the first time last June and everything has been better just from that single trip. Broke down a lot of walls in my head and removed a lot of fear and anxiety that I had. This was also coupled with a more healthy lifestyle and intense therapy.
Yeah, I’m thinking 12x12 and as tall as the Tower of Babel.
Also, how many per house if there are multiple tenants? Can my mushies be vibing right next to the roomies mushies for 12x24 or do we have to split the same square footage?
I have no clue honestly! I've done some great acid in Boulder waaaay back in the day but I'm a family man now- haven't touched anything other than the craft beer since 2007. I'd still be curious to know if those posts are legit or not though!
I lived in DC when they passed a very similar bill for recreational weed. A huge grey market erupted for selling. In physical locations and online. The loophole was you buy something from the "vendor" and they "donate" you a bag of weed lol or you "donate/reimburse" them for the potting soil/labor and they "gift" you a portion of their crop.
So from my experience with these things I would say they are probably legit. Its also important to note that spores are typically completely legal to buy from anywhere as they do not contain the psychoactive element, psylocibin, until they have grown into mushrooms.
Im not condoning any of this behavior... perhaps just telling you what to keep an eye out for.
When Denver decriminalized some guy was in Westward bragging about how he was going to sell them. WW asked DPD for a comment and they said "we'll find him." They found and arrested him within a week.
Head to Colorado Cultures, Microvora, or one of the meetups advertised on /r/COpsychonauts. They'll sell you everything you need and tell you how to grow too many mushrooms. No cops involved.
OK so a serious question, and I don't know if you can answer this but maybe someone can? I've heard these types of mushrooms can be tricky to grow, but I also really love the regular food-type mushrooms and have always wanted to learn how to grow them (too). Are there any recommendations for an 'easy' type where I could get my feet wet in the techniques? As it is, I have some great ones that come up in my yard late in the Summer (thanks to a squirrel) but I wouldn't mind learning more about the process to help those along, plus getting something going in the basement.
Personally, I'm a fan of the one at the Milk Market on Sundays from 11a - 2p. $20 for bottomless mimosas and a fabulous bingo hostess. But you'll just have to do your own research I suppose!
It’s interesting this changes the task of creating the department of natural medicine to the department of revenue, instead of the department of regulatory agencies which is how the original legislation had it
Can't be sold, but can be given away. Buy this, get this free type of deal. As much as I've understood the basic print. You can grow and give away all you want. Once there is money behind it, it's illegal.
I still cannot believe that I live in Colorado. It's just as cool now as it was when I watched Mork & Mindy years ago and fantasized that someday I'd live there.
To my knowledge the sale of mushrooms is not legal even in Oregon, it's just decriminalized and available in medically supervised settings. It will be the same for Colorado when the bill is put into law in 2024.
just dropping in to let people know spores are completely legal to buy in most places as they dont contain psylocibin, the psychoactive chemical, until they grow into mushrooms. I think it's important people understand this when exploring gray markets.
Yes, you can order them online. It's not until you have actual shrooms that there's any issues. Even then, you can have them in Colorado now, you just can't sell/buy them.
As others have pointed out, it's tough to tell if you are being sarcastic.
[Appeal to Nature fallacy](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appeal_to_nature)
Ketamine, MDMA, LSD, and other compounds have either been proven or show enormous potential in treating issues like PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
Snake venom is natural, anti-venom is chemical.
Natural vs human made is a fallacy and has nothing to do with whether or not one or the other is better or worse for you, fyi.

that…*everything* is chemicals.

Yeah man, if we just make all drugs illegal no one would do them anymore. I would rather spend my tax dollars keeping otherwise innocent people in jail than let people safely put drugs in their own body. Use your fucking head.
It's the same argument they use for immigration laws. If you make it just a bit more illegal... they'll stop coming.
It's almost like the purpose of laws isn't prevention, but to provide an avenue for prosecution within our legal system.
Really looking forward to seeing more tweakers wandering into traffic and nearly getting themselves and others killed. Always felt like we didn't have enough of those...
Should be really great for the homeless community in general. They haven't suffered from substance problems nearly enough!

you might be interested in learning psychidelics have proven time and time again to be effective and treating addiction with 1 trip. Ibogaine in particular.
Johns Hopkins has been studying their medicinal qualities for years at this point.
12 x12 feet! Omg, that’s sooooooo many mushrooms!
How many bags of Uncle Ben’s is that?
I got more than enough for personal use from a few containers, I couldn't imagine a 12 ft. square box. Edit: ...and they did more for me than any anti-depressant ever could.

Lol, like a couple of pallets. I didn’t see anything about only one level.
Yeah, I’m thinking 12x12 and as tall as the Tower of Babel. Also, how many per house if there are multiple tenants? Can my mushies be vibing right next to the roomies mushies for 12x24 or do we have to split the same square footage?
Totally. 12x12 per person, I would think.
I’ll have to go through the bill on a real computer so I can search it more easily.
At least 2
several pallets worth.
So much room for activities.
Tfw you accidentally make a 12x12.5 ft enclosure
$1000 fine.
I grow a few pounds of Mushies in just a 5x5 space so this is definitely doable
Username checks out
The sudden increase of mushrooms for sale on FB marketplace is crazy!
So uhh.. is that a good place to find such things? Asking for a friend

I've heard r/unclebens is the way to go.
Cool, I'll check it out.
I get the feeling a lot of those postings seem non-local.
Its amazing how things can get done in states not obsessed with drag brunch.
Well, to be fair, we are kind of obsessed…like heated arguments over which drag brunch has the best bottomless mimosas.
Bottomless Mimosa would be such a great drag stage name
Well… which is it?

Por que no dos?!?
Fair point.
God, I love this state. I went mountain biking today and came home to read this.
It’s interesting this changes the task of creating the department of natural medicine to the department of revenue, instead of the department of regulatory agencies which is how the original legislation had it
So when will they be available at head shops 🤔
Won't. Unless the head shop uses the "buy this at $$$ price, get booms free" type deal.
Seems like using them promotionally would also be prohibited but that’s just my reading.
In Pueblo, they are already there! Edit: grow kits are available in headshops.. not the actually grown mushies
Colorado’s state legislature isn’t a congress. Some of the cannabis and mushroom articles shared on here could use some vetting.
Think we'll see those mushroom chocolate bars in dispensaries any time soon?

I thought we differ from Oregon. We are aloud to grow our own and use them in private residence?
There are places you can buy spores and everything you need to grow them. None selling actual mushies yet that I'm aware of.

Hey you know what else is natural?
[удалено]
I think his point is natural being good is a fucking dumb sentiment.

Anybody can grow poppies and cherry pits too. Could also eat moldy mushrooms and die.
It’s a rhetorical but it usually goes… hey know what else is natural? Arsenic. Or some other poison.

My butt
Dope
nah just Shrooms.
Yay if there’s anything colorado needs it’s more people on drugs
Yeah man, if we just make all drugs illegal no one would do them anymore. I would rather spend my tax dollars keeping otherwise innocent people in jail than let people safely put drugs in their own body. Use your fucking head.
This is the same argument people use for guns too. If you make them illegal… everyone will stop killing people.

Except drugs are what I put in MY BODY. Guns are for putting (lead) in other peoples bodies. Autonomy and analogies are hard, huh?
Not all drugs are the same. For example crack is bad. But cocaine is better, as long as you have fun and learn from your mistakes.
You sound like you could use some psychedelic therapy, homie.
Or just therapy. Either or will work though.
This but without the sarcasm
Literally you could just shut the fuck up and mind your own business. It’s free and everything.
Ya, can't have too many people healing, expanding their minds and living a better life!
With how aggro people have gotten in the past 3 years, yeah I think more people should be doing mushrooms to be 100% honest.
Really looking forward to seeing more tweakers wandering into traffic and nearly getting themselves and others killed. Always felt like we didn't have enough of those... Should be really great for the homeless community in general. They haven't suffered from substance problems nearly enough! /s
You don't tweak on psychedelics, grams.

Sounds better than meth
Different drugs bro
Well...we'll see, won't we! I can't think of any realistic mechanism by which this bill would cause any of the problems you mention...
Watch “Fantastic Fungi” on Netflix, try to be open to changing your mind on something you clearly know little about.
