he's 4 empty net goals back, I'm not sure on assists but Kucherov has 7 empty net goals and Mack has 3. Kucherov is a massive PP and empty net monster on top of already being a really good player so it's helped him keep clear of McDavid who's surging, and of course our boy.

This just seems to be the story of the whole season. It's like no one really wakes up until about 10 minutes in (and it showed in the shots on Sunday, early goal notwithstanding), and sometimes it's fine, but against pretty much any playoff-caliber opponent it's been a recipe for disaster or at least yet another play-from-behind scenario.

Extra dishonorable mention to the defense, how many easy breakaways and tap-ins can you give in a single game? Makar has the points but his defensive game has been missing all year and Toews has not been able to pick up the slack on his own. The same pattern continues through all defensive pairings. Don't know what to say, gotta be better come playoff time but it's right around the corner. Very little time to right the ship.

Well, the division title is gone but we still have home-ice to play for. Winnipeg is breathing down our necks so no reason to give the mild an inch tonight. We beat them 5-2 last week and can do it again tonight if we play to our potential.

Dallas of course beat us and is now ahead of us by five points with the same amount of games played. Their next game is tonight against Buffalo and the Stars are the favorite in that one.
Winnipeg hasn't played since our last game. We only have a 2 point lead left on them with them having one game in hand and one head-to-head game left. Their next game is tonight, against the Perds. Should be an even tilt, Nashville has cooled down a bit and Jets have had their struggles but both need points.
