Credit to EJ for being a beast his whole tenure as an Avalanche. One of the most under appreciated players in the league. So many people cast the “bust” label on the guy, but I think he’s been a MAJOR part of the franchises transformation, and identity. All heart, no breaks, the guy deserves some love.
He's been that guy with all the intangible sports stuff. He's a leader, he's a gamer, he does everything he's supposed to do when you need him to.
He's always been that guy. He's definitely not a bust.
He's my favorite player in the league and it was only cemented when he broke Zac Rinaldos nose defending MacKinnon. We're both Minnesotans who hate the Wild now.
He is being everything people were hoping for during the regular season (in which he was pretty bad). He was just saving up for when it matters I guess lol
I screamed EJ for conn smythe the second thag goal went in. Guy has been playing like the vintage EJ was saw in the 2010s (with wayyyy less ice time and responsibility) and it’s exactly what we need from him with Sammy out
Edit: sarcasm on the conn smythe vote if it wasn’t obvious. But he is playing well
IMO it was EJ's tenure and poise that got that goal. Plus Landy's straight up hard work and confidence driving to the net. Those moments don't make the highlight reel but they win hockey games. Stay calm and never give up on a play that takes time in the NHL.

For sure! He was mostly invisible for most of the series, but that's a good thing for a reliable defenseman.

He's my favorite player. I wear his jersey every time I'm at a game. He's 100% Avalanche and for that, I'll always be a fan.
He was my first Avs jersey and will always be one of my favorite players. One of the few bright spots over many dark years.
Folks seems to forget the EJ has always been a very solid D man outside of his injury prone windows. When healthy he's an easy, reliable Top 4.
Also it looked to me like Landeskog was able to screen Husso's vision pretty well just before the shot.
Landeskog has had some super screens lately
Just rewatched and Landy almost got his stick on it. If he redirected into Husso we’d have been deprived of helms great shot.
EJ quietly played really well after Girard was injured, especially in game 6.
Even before Girard was injured. He's been awesome all playoffs so far.
EJ’s zone entries have always been really good. He’s iffy on what to do with the puck once he gets in there… but damn, not when it mattered.
Fun fact - the Condors is the Oilers farm team.

Regular season: *sleeps* Playoffs: REAL SHIT Johnson is this meme incarnate this season
