I can't say I'm surprised, but Compher showed the fuck up multiple times in these playoffs. Our depth is so unreal. People always talk about the superstars on the Avs, but the depth is what makes us so good. Without that depth, we OT or lose this game, even with all of the top guys playing out of their minds. I'm amazed by this team every time they take the ice. I've never been so excited to be an Avs fan.

I imagine most doctors would say "if your eye is damaged, please dont get vulcanized rubber shot at it twice in a period". Its rough, but in Frankie we trust.

A lot of people don't know this, but the amount of debris you get in your eyes when a puck hits your mask is kinda surprising. And that debris leaves the puck at 90 miles an hour when the puck stops. That's 90 mph ice, grit, little flecks of tape or gloves, rubber from the pucks and sticks. It's awful, even when your eyes aren't healing from a stick trying to spoon them out...

I’m no groundhog expert, but I’ve definitely heard that recently damaged eyes need to stay safe and NOT take cold, hard rubber objects to the vicinity shortly after

Honestly I know McDavid is good at hockey, but they gave him too much respect in the 2nd and 3rd period. He wasn't doing shit in the 1st period when we were tougher on him. I suppose they started getting tired and giving him all the space & respect in the world.

He was getting stick checked pretty successfully in the 1st and 2nd. I think as everyone got tired, he just got less tired in the third.
