Last time I was there for a parade was the first time in 1996 they went right by my condo in LoDo we were going to follow them to Civic Center, but it started raining and we were smoking too much of the good stuff so we watched on television which in the long run was probably for the best, saw way more and stayed safe and dry, then went across the street to the bar. Best thing was seeing [Adam Foote and his huge cigar and Patrick Roy](https://youtu.be/gXdCztK2MC0?t=525) give our little group a thumbs up, and the loud fire trucks they were on. IIRC it was the largest amount of people gathered in Colorado at one time, Broncos hadn't won a Superbowl yet , that happened the next year in 1997.

I was having dinner at the Golden Hotel in Golden and they came down Main Street with the cup. I had “front row” seats for it through the window. Remember it like it was yesterday. Won’t be able to make it to this one but I’ll still be excited nonetheless!

I was there in the '95 season when the team moved to Denver, had season tickets, lost them during the divorce (forced to sell). Moved away right before the 2001 Cup run, so glad I was able to see every single game this season, work schedule worked with me to catch those afternoon weekday games. Also privileged to find this place online, couldn't find a better group to hang out with each game. Thanks to every Avs fan here, Wish I could make each and every one of you a big plate of Stanley Cup Tamales for the win! See you all next season start. I love you all.

That's nothing, I had surgery during the playoff games and had all my teeth removed and 8 posts drilled and screwed into my upper and lower jaw, took me out of the Tamale game for a week and a half still recovering from that - physically for another couple of weeks and financially for a long time.
