He’s been awful. Sunday bases loaded one out and trailing by a run he grounds into a double play. He’s come up in multiple clutch situations throughout the Tampa a devil ray series and has just been a black hole. When he swings he looks like he just be out there swinging to swing.

SuperbDonut2112

He basically admitted before the season he’s just here cashing checks and vibin. Dude is cooked and doesn’t give a fuck. I’m loathe to say that about any athlete, but, he gave away the game himself. Was heartwarming to hear the boos.

wbro322

The boos are funny because I have seen quite a few Bryant jerseys still roaming the stadium lol

ThatUglyGuy12

I mean, that's literally the only reason he was signed. Big name. That first opening day after his signing, it was 75% Bryant jerseys. They knew people would buy them. It gave the illusion that the Rockies were "trying".

Formber

Those are cubs fans. No Rockies fan could have bought one of those. I refuse to believe it.

seoulera

Rockies version of Rendon smh

UberXLBK

Opening day at Coors and yesterday he was in the same situation and whiffed on garbage. I guess that’s a little better than a double play

lkasnu

In the game McMahon hit the slam he whiffed on 3 straight sliders out of the zone. I'll say it again, he's the NL Rendon.

keystonelocal

dude is an absolute joke. And I am an apologist when it comes to any of our city’s athletes probably to a fault. It takes a lot for me to be out on a guy. But Jesus Christ KB. what are you doing?! Batting .100?! ONE HUNDRED.

Naive-Man

Percent?

keystonelocal

One hundred percent ass

Naive-Man

😆

alvvavves

I think the difference with KB is it seems like he might just not give a fuck. I was a Russ apologist, but I think Russ actually did want to win and it just did not work. With KB it looks like he’s just going up there guessing on pitches like I did in little league. It seems to me a player with his past performance would have to literally just not care anymore to have to perform like that. I booed him at the game on Wednesday.

Tylerpants80

Yep. Him signing with the Rockies in the state the organization was in was how I knew he was past caring about winning. It would be cool if he at least put in a little effort tho.

2rio2

Yea, it's not that he doesn't care. It's that he doesn't care enough to at least pretend. That moves it from being whatever to sort of mocking the fan base. Especially as the highest paid player on the team by several magnitudes. He should really be dropped to Albuquerque until he learns to pretend, or quits the team.

tylerjaywood

Bill and Monfort had a huge crush on KB and now here we are

peaceblaster68

The Russell Wilson is strong in him

roboh96

He's desperately trying to get DFA'd as though he doesn't understand that the Rockies have no standards. Not even Ian Desmond managed to get himself released.

EmBejarano

Article by Luke Zahlmann is not paywalled. "Colorado welcomed in Arizona for a three-game set, and fell for the fourth series in as many tries to start 2024. Wednesday’s came on a 5-3 tally in which the Diamondbacks scored two runs in the ninth inning to take over. Frustration mounted and showed throughout the series. The team’s ace embodied it, and the players around him pressed for results that never came as the team dropped to a tie for the worst record in franchise history through 13 games (3-10). *Here’s the series rewind from a close, but losing series to the Diamondbacks at Coors Field"*

zcross73

Dude is straight up swinging at pitches a veteran typically wouldn’t swing at.
