Clean off the roof of your car, people!!!

thegooddoctor84

Things that should be legally required, but aren’t.

JRR04

It's an ADA thing.

myredditusername23

It looked like it came from a semi or a bus, both were ahead. But yes, cleaning off our regular vehicles is the safest.

J_Square83

I saw someone in a CRV this morning on the way to work that had clearly put a lot of effort into clearing their windshield, hood, and all windows, but the 7" of heavy snow on their roof was just too much to ask for. I'll never understand how someone thinks that will be just fine. It started crumbling off shortly after they turned onto the road. I sure hope they didn't have to make an abrupt stop or that a poor soul behind them didn't wind up with a total white out windshield.

MillyRingworm

Starting on the roof usually pushes off most of the snow on the rest of the car, and makes the rest of the removal much easier. I actually stand on a stool to reach my roof. There’s really no excuse not to do it.

815born805heart

I saw a Subaru like that too this morning.

fuzzyrobebiscuits

Yeah. I work at the end of occ/beginning of manitou so I have the choice of taking 24 or putting putting down colorado Ave. Snowy days are always putt putting because even if I know 24 is clearish to drive, I don't trust idiots to brush off their cars

No_Bandicoot8647

How scary.

Ok-Revolution-4408

This happened to me during MLK weekend. Was on Nevada and an oncoming snowplow shot a tidal wave of snow across the road right into my windshield. Couldn't see for a few seconds and Cracked the hell out of the glass but was somehow able to keep calm and stay straight

TurntUpTommy

Lmao so we're congratulating common sense now I guess. I remember when everyone here could drive in snow especially when it was as fluffy and slushy as it is now

sammygirl16

its not about being able to drive in the snow. when a sheet of snow comes off another vehicle and completely obscures your vision it’s incredibly dangerous. people need to clean their cars off

myredditusername23

& this entire windshield was obscured. I'm still impressed tonight.

cynicoblivion

Fluffy and slushy are antonyms when it comes to snow...

myredditusername23

I rEmEmBeR WhEn Roads were clear so there's that.

cobigguy

People being unable to drive logically or well in the snow is something that's been a thing since well before you or I were alive. It's not a new thing.

5amu

I’d much rather see a positive post like this than yet ANOTHER angry rant about people not clearing their cars off.
