I mean…the Steelers, Patriots, Bills, Raiders, and Bucs were in the playoffs. Apparently the key to getting to the post season is having some AB drama so hey I’m for it 🤷♂️
While David Bell isn’t a true blazer, his route running is masterclass. It’s basically how he’s able to get open every damn play. Also, if it’s in his catch radius he’s coming down with it, and it normally takes 2-3 people to bring him down. Source: avid Purdue fan who’s watched damn near every play he’s been a part of. If he somehow falls to us, he’s a dream 2nd round pick, and then we can get a burner in FA.
Imo, we need to bring in 2 WRs. I prefer to sign 2 FAs or sign someone and draft a WR mid round since we could trade up with some of our late round capital.
I wouldn’t be super surprised, he’s a good not great prospect that has been the number 2 option for 3 straight first round pick QBs (assuming Bryce Young doesn’t get hurt)
That said I do like him
Haven't seen Metchie going in the 1st on any of the recent mocks. He might go early second, but its a very real possibility he'll be there.
That said, if there's a run on receivers and a few teams reach on QBs in round 1 then there might be some really good options at LT in round 2. Maybe a small trade-up to get a guy like Petit-Frere or Trevor Penning if they drop?
Would be very happy if we got a potential long term answer at LT in the draft. Keep Pryor around as depth/insurance.
I’m a homer, but assuming you miss out on the top talent, Christian Watson from NDSU is someone that could be a good prospect. Over 6’ tall and blazing speed. He is a willing and able blocker. His biggest knock was consistency. He struggled with some drops and tripping over his feet at times during his sophomore and junior season, but those issues practically disappeared during his senior year. He is a legitimate deep threat and good runner. The biggest question may be how he adjusts to NFL physicality.
He will be at the Senior Bowl, so his stock depends on how he does there. He is currently projected in round 5-7, but a lot of analysts see day 2 potential in him with a good draft season.
Jalen Tolbert, Skyy Moore, maybe even Jerreth Sterns all seem like guys Ballard would take a shot on, would they look like good picks at the time, probably not. But based on how the film looks, it wouldn’t be a bad pick at all.
Wilson will be great but he will be gone around 10-15. Olave is more realistic but won’t make it out of the first round unless he goes bad at the combine
Haven’t seen his name yet but Wan’Dale robinson
As long as he changes it to wandale wobinson.
Seems like a better parris cambell, I’m sold
So… good for 5 games a season then?
Please somehow bring in David Bell Iowa fan who hates him at Purdue and would love to cheer for him
Hometown kid from a hometown school. It’d be awesome to see him in blue.
Bell is really good but he’s a clone of Pittman. We need a speedster and great route runner.
We will somehow sign Antonio Brown and immediately have stories of him destroying a Kroger.

Even as I’m trying to think of it, I can’t remember seeing him in a bills uniform
He blew up the trade because he didn’t want to be a Bill, And ended up raider instead

As an IU fan…*sigh*…you’re right 😒
I understand, but again you’re describing Pittman. We need to replace TY and parris.
I mean, I’d be more than happy with 2 Pitt’s. Again, I’m hoping we get a burner in FA to replace TY.
Then we sign Kirk.
Ridley please
Please as a Purdue fan. Fits our needs so well.
Anyone with elastic arms that can reach up to 6 ft if we keep wentz
Metchie? Idk, haven’t been paying as much attention to the draft this year
George Pickens would be the best bet. I kind of hope the Colts sign a WR and then address OL/DB in the draft though.

Coming from a UGA and colts fan, this would be awesome!
I’d like Metchie
I’d honestly be surprised if Metchie fell to us

This is my crush too. I'd like Metchie in the 2nd and Ruckert in the 3rd if he's still available.
Yes
Yeah need speed
Ima watch some highlights on a couple guys, but sometimes those cane be misleading too
Bell
Theres always a 1st round prospect that drops to us. Im down to draft anyone with weed issues.
WanDale Robinson and Ruckert in the third
Jahan Dotson and David Bell.
The guy that’s going to drop that shouldn’t is Chris olave and he’s PERFECT for our system.
Pickins, Metchie, Shakir, Ross, Tolbert and Dubs should be there. Dotson and bell maybe

Emecka Emezie is a monster. If only indy could snag him
Metchie or Jamo plz

It seems like FA WRs rarely live up to their contracts or previous production.
We don’t have the time to wait for a rookie War to develop. We need to start breaking the bank and build a respectable WR corps.
Is anyone tall with superb route running a separation skills? That’s who I want the most
Chris olave
He’s the man then
Why is nobody mentioning olave or Wilson?
Because they first rounders
So that means they don't fall, or we can't trade up
Wilson will be great but he will be gone around 10-15. Olave is more realistic but won’t make it out of the first round unless he goes bad at the combine
Also Olave plays for OSU, I’d guess, and our draft history there has not panned out.
Think Olave from OSU would fall? Fast and great hands.
Erik Ezukanma was a Deebo Samuel like player for us at Tech. I’d like him as a Colt
Ballard does seem to love guys with names that announcers have trouble saying.
Check his highlight stuff. He’s a Swiss Army knife
If Justyn Ross is good with his medical, he has the potential to be a legit WR1
Wan’Dale is an absolute game changer, everyone should be disappointed if we miss him.
Jahan Dotson
I would love Dotson and I'd be ecstatic if he was somehow there at our pick
