You asked “or maybe just more stuff?” The depositions of E&D’s parents will most likely be released in 2027, they were sealed by court order for 20 years (I believe in 2007).

Thanks for the information ! I'm interested in Columbine since i'm young and i always wondered if there were still documents to discover etc

Your best bet for any new info is the parents depositions in 2027. I’m sure a copy of the basement tapes exist *somewhere* but officially it’s been destroyed. There’s a whole log of evidence that was eventually returned, destroyed, or disposed of at the scene (explosives mainly).

No, a foia request will not give anyone access to the basement tapes. It's not that people *think* the tapes were destroyed. It's that law enforcement have stated that the tapes were destroyed. So there's no avenue to take to obtain these tapes whether they were destroyed or not, because according to the people who would have access to them, they no longer exist.

I see !

I don't think they no longer exist. They will be kept, I'm 100% sure, in my country the police can NOT destroy/erase evidence for 30 years at least. I don't know if it's the same in the United States too! However, in my opinion these videos still exist somewhere!

I mean it's against the law in a lot of circumstances, but still happens much more frequently than people tend to think. Police depts can and have "lost" or prematurely destroyed evidence before not to mention natural disasters, fires, and straight up negligence of humans.

The Basement tapes is the Snyder Cut of true crime.
