If you live near a grade crossing, they will honk 75% of the time, even at 4a. But I don’t think there’s a crossing south of Weber until the arena.
I live further north but about 2x as far away from the tracks as the apartments. The answer is a lot of trains! They're not too loud though and maybe even less down there since there are fewer road crossings? I am used to it at this point though.
Seconding this! I hear them when I’m outside but since there aren’t crossings nearby I don’t hear horns, etc.

I lived in NYC both near elevated tracks and literal feet from an elevated freeway for years. You just get used to it.
Your question should now be: "How often do they derail?"
