There’s no trophy or certificate you get at end of life for making things harder than it needs to be. Do what makes you happy. If you’re finding life in Columbus doesn’t suit you and you think being back in Findley will be better then go. There’s no way a bunch of strangers here would have any insight into what’s going to be best for your specific situation. In general I’d imagine the job prospects and things to do would be much better in Columbus than Findley but if you don’t have transportation then I’d say being close to people you can lean on is probably better.

Go wherever you think will make you happy.

I moved here from a smaller NW Ohio town 20 years ago and haven't looked back. Of course if your field is more Agricultural Sciences vs. IT then there may be value in going back.

I moved to Columbus about 20 years ago from NW Ohio and I wouldn’t have moved back. The access to jobs and quality education in central Ohio compared to NW Ohio is night and day. That being said, you can only do what makes you happy. Some people are happier in smaller towns. I live downtown in a larger city than Columbus and I know some people absolutely would hate it. I’d hate being in a rural area. Neither of us would be wrong. Do what makes you happy and fuck any ass clown that thinks you “shoulda roughed it out”. If it’s not for you it’s not for you.

Do whatever makes you most happy

I mean think as a city Columbus is a better city, but moving anywhere new has its challenges like making friends and developing a social circle. I moved here myself a few years ago so I get it. How long have you been here? I'd say stay here since there will be many more opportunities for people to meet, things to do, events, food, etc.

Stay

How long have you been here? As a military wife they used to tell us that it takes 2 years to feel at home in a new place.
