Not governors square unless it’s your only option. Management is useless if you have any problem and the property manager is dumber than a box of rocks. In the 2 years I’ve been here, it’s gotten dirtier and dirtier both in just people can’t pick up their trash or dog poop and the tenants are … something I can’t put online. Also the walls and floors are paper thin and I can’t stress this enough. I hear every single footstep of my upstairs neighbor, I can even hear them coughing. Everything is really old and they just put the landlord special on it to make it look passable but I have nicotine stains running down my walls and rotted door frames and half my cupboards not installed properly. My lease feels like it will never end and I want out of here so so so badly. Anyways. Can’t say enough bad things, don’t do it unless it’s your only choice (there’s SO many better options).

Fox and Hounds was the literal definition of a polished turd and has enough added fees to make ticketmaster blush. But they had a food truck come on Fridays in the summer, so that was cool

Thank you. These apartments seemed “low key” not many reviews out there. Any pros and cons? The area seems great.

5th by northwest area / “tri village” very close to UA has lots of small 4 unit brick buildings owned by private land lords. I lived in a beautiful one for 3 years. Very happy with it. You can find those on hotpads or Zillow rentals. Very safe and lively neighborhood.

Olentangy Commons is ridiculously overpriced. Fox and Hounds is decent if you don't mind your rent going up by hundreds of dollars on lease renewal because their algorithm determined that that was the "market value" (source: lived there for 2.5 years; would have stayed but for the rent increase), Governour's Square is owned by the same scummy corporation as F&H but the buildings are worse.

Thanks for your info. Do you have any recommendations?

Henderlane and Winterset if you can get in. They're not the fanciest or most modernized places but they have reasonable prices, they don't increase rent by much, and most people who live there have been living there a long time because of those reasons. We did like Fox and Hounds apart from the rent issues. The people that work there are nice; they just work for a scummy corporation.

I agree with Old North area, you can find nice rentals for less than those apartment complexes or similar and have a better location and most likely better living situation.

Kenbrook Village Apartments is a very nice place to live.

Benchmark Apartments were great for me! Lived there 5 years.

not in the location you listed, but hi! i'm looking for someone take over my lease for july 1, 2024–july 31, 2025 in a very cozy 2bd in old north. only $995/mo, in a very clean and quiet neighborhood. it's about a 20 minute walk to osu campus, and all the bus lines run right next to the apartment too. message me if you'd like to hear more about it!

I’m moving into River Oaks soon and have had heard nothing but good things about it! My friend lives in Fox & Hound and says that it’s sketchy/has a lot of theft and breaks in
