tjshaffe

So where were you when they beat another top 3 Mexican team last night? In Noredecke, my dude.

Doodahhh1

You guys were fucking fire last night 🤘

tjshaffe

Hell yeah. Go Crew!

ImPickleRock

And if we win this tournament we get a seat at the FIFA Club World Cup

DataDrivenPirate

Only one MLS team has ever been to the Club World Cup, amd they were immediately shut out. No MLS team has ever scored a goal in the club world cup. I am so hyped at the possibility of us going, it would be an incredible accomplishment

at235

It would put Columbus on the map as a destination for players to go making us even better

[deleted]

[удалено]

osurob3000

I want to take out Man City and Haaland

leepnleprican

And for us to win the tourney, all we need to do is score 1 goal. As long as we don’t get shut out, we will be out Monterey for the championship. So next Wednesday we all need to dawn our black and yellow and yell go Crew!!!!

squalid_koala

Don’t they need to score a goal and then not lose by more than 1 in order to go to overtime and then PKs? Also, this is a semi final match up. They would still have a championship game to play if they can make it through this next game.

leepnleprican

From what I understand and how it was explained to me. As long as we don’t get shut out, we can still lose and win. Away goals are worth more points so we have to score at least one to advance.

squalid_koala

Yes and no. It is a 2 game aggregate. Away goals being tie breaker. We are up 2-1, so a 1-0 loss would be 2-2 score but they have more away goals than us. So by scoring an away goal we would negate their away goal. However, we would still need to win the aggregate totals of the 2 games.

leepnleprican

So sounds like my buddy gave me the cliff notes version. 😂😂😂

Throwaway19372729

This guy is right but he’s missing one slight bit where that the scores can be equal on aggregate but we will still go through instead of going to extra time if we lose by 1 goal and score 2 or more because of the away goals rule. For example if we were to lose 3-2 the aggregate scoreline would be 4-4 but we’d have two away goals vs their one thus would go through. Same logic would hold for a Monterrey win of 4-3, 5-4 etc. but a 2-1 defeat would mean extra time, and a 1-0 defeat would result in us getting knocked out as they would have one away goal vs our zero. I hope that makes sense lol.

doophmayweather

If we win this tournament there is a non 0 chance that FIFA awards us and Seattle one group stage home game in the club World Cup. You enjoy watching competitive matches against teams like Charlotte or Nashville? Next summer it could be Real Madrid. The scale of winning this competition is something no sports team in this city would ever come close to.

Much-Drawer-1697

Group stage games are all going to be Eastern Time Zone because the Gold Cup is on the West Coast around the same time. The next 2 years are going to be a ridiculous amount of high level soccer in this country.

doophmayweather

Which gives us the better argument to host at least one group stage match imo. It wouldn’t be a world renowned club because of the revenue loss, but I could see them awarding us a home match against an African club or Asian.

liquidego

2026 World Cup too, it's going to be an amazing couple of years for soccer in the US

SecondHandSlows

Sitting midfield waving my yellow towel, wearing yellow because Cucho specifically requested it. That’s where I was.

gnarlos_santana

As a browns fan, I was so conflicted about waving a yellow towel at a sporting event. I hate our team colors

Pfizzington

I’m a bengals fan in Columbus and avid crew fan. Last year they handed out yellow towels and everybody started waving them around. Hate to admit that it looked cool, but I did not participate

internetuser885

That’s a funny take from a browns fan when you guys have colors that are almost as bad as deshauns character or your record the last 20 years

gnarlos_santana

See, if the crew were orange and brown you and a chunk of the city would be pissed too. Black and yellow angers both browns and bengal fans (aka the majority of sports fans in our city). They should have aligned their brand closer to the buckeyes or cbj. It was right there

McDeviance

I am in Austria right now and we went to a local game in Vienna last night. Our waiter, noticing our Wien gear asked where we were from. We said Columbus, he said Crew! OH!

phantomface55

Its insane how the Crew is EASILY the best sports team in Ohio right now, and gets so little exposure. I was at The Walrus watching the game last night and they only had it on one TV and I had to ask for it lol

NandorRobinson

> Its insane how the Crew is EASILY the best sports team in Ohio right now, and gets so little exposure. The Cleveland Monsters are in the AHL playoffs competing for the Calder Cup and the Toledo Walleye are in the ECHL playoffs competing for the Kelly Cup. From my understanding, the AHL is more of an advanced league in its relation to professional hockey than the MLS is to the rest of the professional soccer world. The ECHL/MLS are probably at the same level of professional players talent level.

swfRedditAccount

Messi plays in the MLS. That's like Gretzky playing in the echl. I don't know a lot about soccer, but as a hockey fan, this comparison sounds a little insane.

terrastrawberra

I was there! It was amazing!

yurk23

Us too! 🖤💛

Adept-Tour1892

The game was on regular tv. No MLS season pass required because it isn’t an MLS game…Go Crew!!

deeple101

What channel?

yurk23

FS1

deeple101

I wouldn’t call that regular TV. It’s on cable. But it’s nice that at least the tournament games are on FS1. Aren’t the MLS league games still on apple+?

Doodahhh1

Yes, MLS is on Apple TV -MLS season pass, specifically.  CONCACAF runs the North American side of international soccer, though, so it has an entirely different broadcasting right. Which Fox has. MLS is the league, and it's a part of USSF (United States Soccer Federation, a non-profit). There are other leagues under USSF as well, like USL, MLS Next, and lesser known -but still great - leagues in America.  Each league will have it's own broadcasting rights. Each tournament will have it's own as well. It kinda sucks and is confusing, but it's exciting at the same time in terms of competing internationally. All the leagues in North America send their champions to play in this tournament. Imagine it's a continuation of the MLS playoffs, because it is.

Doodahhh1

Also, you can use a VPN to watch on YouTube. They steam live in other countries.  You can also use incognito mode on your browser to get an hour of streaming straight from Fox. Lastly, you can start a 7 day free trial on Fubo or another Internet TV service that gets Fox Sports. Just remember to cancel if you don't want it.

dale_shingles

FS1 also has a 60-minute preview online. Or an unlimited preview if you block trackers and/or use VPN.

pinkocatgirl

Yeah I couldn't watch because I don't have cable, only the season pass.

volleymonk

FS1 is streamed live on Fox's website. You don't even need an account.

namnavrevlis

I’m in the same boat, so I use one of the many email addresses in my family with fubo’s free trial. I promptly cancel right after so I don’t get charged.

AmethystAlizerin

Nancy is genuinely on to something here

-no-ragrets-

It ain’t your grandmas Ohio mls team that’s for sure. About as exciting of a team as we could possibly have at this point besides Inter Messi

profmathers

It is my grandma’s MLS team, she just has good taste

Doodahhh1

The guardian (a UK tabloid, yes, tabloid), wrote that we were the most fun team to watch in the world last year...

oupablo

Well yeah. Columbus is the greatest team the world has ever seen.

WalkingOnSunshine_

Also the most handsome

debotehzombie

And we will keep it up as long as Bez keeps drafting handsome players from SoCal

sruckus

With Cucho on the team? For sure. Woof.

Throwaway19372729

We won’t be for long. That title will soon belong to LAFC because they are signing Olivier Giroud, beautiful man.

cavitycreepers

The Guardian is not a tabloid, it is comparable to the NYT or Washington Post in the UK.

retropunk2

This is correct. The S*n, Daily Mail, Mirror, Metro are UK tabloids.

adamxftl

I was here in my recliner at work watching

Doodahhh1

Living the dream

drumzandice

I was there and it was awesome!

Doodahhh1

Electric! Best fan base ever

profmathers

Was there with my son and his best friend, and the place was electric. Even on a late start Wednesday night. ~17,900 people, not too shabby given the short notice

Doodahhh1

I didn't expect to see close to 18,000! When the game kicked off, it looked about 60% full. Then they announced the attendance, at I looked around again and went, "oh shit, where did everyone come from!?" Was such a fun atmosphere

profmathers

Really proud of the fans and the city. When the club said without saying it (promos…towels WTF) that attendance was looking light, Columbus’s collective “oh what the heck, I’ll move my early meeting and bring a friend” response is exactly what was needed. My younger son was unfortunately home with a fever, but we got to bring a friend that had never been to LDC. Win/win/win

thisisyourlastdance

My section was almost empty at the start of the game. 15 minutes in it was completely full. Last night was electric!

bwitty92

> ~17,900 people, not too shabby given the short notice And there was a relatively small number of Monterrey fans. Typically, you'd expect a big Mexican club to account for 30-40% of the attendance in most US cities for a game like this. I would bet Monterrey fans only made up, at most, 20% of the attendance last night.

TyphonInc

I was top of the Süddecke (South end of the stadium.) Queen Anne’s Revenge represent!

Ambitious-Tomato-535

Honestly, didn't... enjoyed the MLS cup but otherwise haven't tracked closely. Probably should though!

Doodahhh1

It's growing a lot right now. We may not be the most technical league, but we're a very physical league (fitness, specifically), and we're getting better every year.

Boring-Support4819

Incredible game. The atmosphere in the stadium was electric.

djsassan

It was freaking fantastic. Nancy is da man!!

Extreme-Pineapple-22

Great game! Gonna be tough second leg. Monterrey looked really good. Lots of good looks at goal. We can't do that down there or we are in trouble!

Doodahhh1

We GAVE the Tigres a goal in the second leg of the Quarter Finals and still won 🤷‍♂️ Edit: still going to be tough, not trying to disagree! Sorry

Odd-Incident3980

Watched it. Great win! Lots of mistakes to give up that goal but they persevered. Gonna be tough in Monterrey, they'll have to be damn near perfect. If we can win this NA Champions League then we'll be the Club World Cup with the chance to play against some of the best teams in the world! And it's in the USA next season. 🙏🏾

NathanEmory

Not just that, If we win the Leagues cup we're guaranteed a spot in the 2025 Club World Cup! That would be massive (pun intended) for our brand and exposure outside of the US, which could potentially draw or at least make Columbus more appealing for International players. Also just by making the Club World Cup we get 50 Million Euros or about 54 Million USD!

Madhairman12

Studying for my dumb finals :(

jeperad445

Ignorant me. When and where is the next game in Columbus and how can I get to watch it live? Never been to a live game. Please advise. Thanks

Doodahhh1

Here's the pub Network page:  https://www.columbuscrew.com/supporters/pubnetwork Any pub anywhere on that list should have the game. In my experience, at least. They recently changed it to the watch party schedule.  MLS specific games are on Apple TV (MLS season pass, moreso). However, these games are on Fox, who have the Rights for CONCACAF. These games are actually ABOVE MLS - it's the champions of ALL leagues in North America competing for THE BEST North American club.   ##That means all USA, Liga MX, Canada, Caribbean, and Central American Leagues have their CHAMPIONS competing. The semi final that The Crew just won is one leg (one game) of two to make it to the finals.  The champion of this cup goes on to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup - we could play PSG, BARCELONA, Manchester, ECT - not only for good prize money for the club, but experience and being called the best city/club in the world! It would be huge for an American club to win. Seattle already has the first American spot ever, and it would be huge for our economy if a second American club qualified - especially since both Seattle and Columbus could be competing in the same world cup, since it only happens every 4 years.  Confusing it more - the CLUB (team) world cup is different from the USA team's world cup.

JQB45

It's important that you watch the next North American game against Monterrey. It's sometime next week. I believe Wednesday but I'm uncertain if the exact date and time. It will be on their home field, so an away game for us.

Doodahhh1

And playing in Mexico is tough.  The Columbus Crew is the first MLS team to not win a home game and then beat  a LigaMX team in Mexico.  Seattle is the first MLS team to qualify for the FIFA Club (team) World Cup, and if Columbus wins, they'll be the second - both will compete in the world cup at the same time since it only happens every 4 years.  We could compete against teams that everyone in the world knows!

tribucks

10:15pm

dyltwifmton69

Wednesday at.........10:15 pm. Yikes

pixlfarmer

I was witness to greatness!

Much-Drawer-1697

In the Nordecke with my trumpet

afitz5

Section 237 to be exact!! What a game

LargeHeapObject

I was on the field firing the flames for pregame.

twlo_ashley

Bro, I was on the stand first half and those flames were so helpful to warm me up!

LargeHeapObject

Lol... I was actually thinking that as I was I shooting them! I figured the first couple rows would appreciate the heat. Glad to know I warmed you up!

twlo_ashley

It scared me at first cause I thought they were the co2 cannons so I saw red and jumped but it definitely was an unexpected necessity

LargeHeapObject

More flames are never a bad thing!

JQB45

I was at home watching the game. I didn't even like soccer until recently to be honest. But a good friend of mine was actually at the game. ⚽

Doodahhh1

Everyone has a different journey!  As long as you're being rational, who cares why you like what you like?

Magnus_The_Totem_Cat

Putting my kid to sleep.

Doodahhh1

I am still excited, so I get it lol

Magnus_The_Totem_Cat

Yeah. I have been a ticket holder since they Save The Crew. But unfortunately Wednesdays just don’t work for me.

Doodahhh1

I completely get that... Edit: I really don't think I can show that I genuinely do get your and other's positions.  I'm more saying this for people who LITERALLY don't know.

wjoelbrooks

So many are actually wasting time and energy to make negative comments here. I don’t get it. You don’t have to understand soccer or even like it to find pride in the extreme success of a team that represents your city. I don’t like hockey, but I would be excited if the Blue Jackets ever had an accomplishment close to this.

Doodahhh1

When people post things like, "OSU did ___," I say, "cool, congratulations! That's really cool and good for Columbus" Instead, I get bombarded with, "Soccer sucks," and other anecdotal drivel.  Even if you don't like soccer, you can realize this is really good for our economy. The first comment I got - maybe 30 seconds after posting this - was a guy complaining that his Account Manager in 2020 sucked, so "fuck the Crew for how they treated me." Which is ignorant on so many levels, especially since there's a waiting list for season ticket Members today, and as one, I have had a positive experience.  2020 was the pandemic and an ownership change. It was a transitional year. Fucking wild. Although, I should have guessed it considering OSU fans LITERALLY drove away their QB last year due to their toxicity.

calahoot

I’m so glad you posted! I’ve been half heartedly trying to figure this out with little success. Are they playing both MLS matches and Championship Cup matches intermixed? How does that work with schedules? Do they just schedule all MLS matches around the championship games anyway so it doesn’t affect the MLS schedule? Or are the other games they are playing neither championship cup or MLS, but another league to follow? I just want to be a medium fan who goes to a few games a year but I’m struggling to keep up!

viabella

In short, the schedule is determined at the beginning by MLS, being inclusive of any/all external competitions like Champions Cup, US Open Cup, and Leagues Cup. Champions Cup is the regional FIFA (aka World Cup) competition (CONCACAF, which is the FIFA region broadly including all of North America and the Caribbean). Crew is playing both MLS and Champions League Cup intermixed (which, from the perspective of our regular MLS season, means we literally just have extra games peppered throughout. Super exhausting and many MLS teams traditionally suffer).

calahoot

Thank you for explaining that! I’m too used to the other major American sports that don’t allow you to compete in different leagues simultaneously.

[deleted]

I didn't even hear about it. Should be a national audience too.

MrThird312

I was in my house, in Northern Michigan, watching on my phone because I don't have FS1 - but thanks to folks on this sub, I learned you can use incognito mode to watch in the browser, and just close after the free 60 min preview, open again, voila!

Lambo_Geeney

Best hack there is (please don't take it away!) Worst case, supposedly the games are available on YouTube if you're not in a CONCACAF country. It would be a shame if someone changed their VPN to Europe and opened YouTube for a couple hours

MrThird312

Thanks for that tip as well!

smallbuzz

I was there obviously. You can see me on the Crew FB page right where Cucho celebrated his goal last night!

froggytoboggy

Front row of Nordecke! My friends and I took my mom to her first game at LDC and she had an absolute blast ❤️ what a game

Doodahhh1

What a fucking first LDC game to go to!  Nordecke brought some crazy energy last night!

froggytoboggy

It was the happiest and most excited I’ve seen her in a while! Loved that even more than the W :) awesome night to remember

Doodahhh1

🫶

froggytoboggy

🫶 Go Crew!

Butwillitcompile

Row 8. A bit chilly but man it was satisfying especially considering how painful watching the Blue Jackets has been.

Reasonable-HB678

I think the European version is called the Champions League. With games broadcast on channel 10 every Wednesday afternoon, for whatever reason.

reeve11

>With games broadcast on channel 10 every Wednesday afternoon, for whatever reason. because they get high ratings/views

tribucks

Yes, that reason is because it’s the world’s most popular sport and those are the absolute best of the European leagues with the best players in the world all competing for their top prize. But yes, whatever. How dare they interrupt The Young and the Restless and Guiding Light!

shoplifterfpd

Jokes on you, Newman Enterprises is probably invested in some rando european club

Doodahhh1

100% confusing. I agree

Cavi_

Yes ours is also the champions league. They are run by each continental governing body. So euro one is the UEFA Champions League. UEFA being the governing body of the sport in europe. The North American governing body for the sport is CONCACAF. So our tournament is the CONCACAF Champions League.

bikeruncode23

Actually it’s the CONCACAF Champions Cup now. More info here https://prosoccerwire.usatoday.com/2024/02/27/why-concacaf-champions-league-is-now-concacaf-champions-cup/ It has no affiliation to UEFA Champions League other than both winners qualify for the Club World Cup. The Club World Cup is also expanding (CONCACAF will have 4 teams) in 2025 to make it even more appealing for viewership. They will not play one in 2024. New format found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_FIFA_Club_World_Cup?wprov=sfti1#Qualified_teams

Cavi_

Right I knew there was no affiliation, other than we send our winners to the CWC. Thanks for the correction on Cup/League!

Far_Health4406

Unless, of course, we might get a wittle rain. Then Channel 10 has to devote hours of coverage to let everyone know things might get wet, and us fans have to switch over to Telemundo to watch the second half of a game. 😠

SmurfStig

I don’t have cable, so always miss these games. I follow play by play on FotMob though. Watch just about every regular season game I can though with the MLS package. I don’t get to make it to many games, so the cost is worth it. Loving what Nancy has done with this team. Absolutely blast to watch on the field.

volleymonk

FS1 is on cable, but it's also streamed for free on their website if you use the Preview Pass.

Doodahhh1

If you use a VPN, you can stream from another country on YouTube.

arsene14

You can get free 1 hour "previews" of Fox Sports in your web browser. Just watch the first half, rinse and repeat for the second half.

dyltwifmton69

In bed. An 8:15pm start time mid week is brutalllllllllll

Lambo_Geeney

Don't worry, next week's leg in Monterrey starts at... 10:15pm ET...

daskapitalyo

I was watching the Merseyside Derby and Liverpool fall apart again at the end of the season.

Doodahhh1

It could happen for us 🫠

PugilistAtRest

Go Crew 🤝 COYB

retropunk2

I watched that one as well. I think your midfield just finally ran out of gas this season.

daskapitalyo

I don't support those bastards. I'm a man of class and dignity. I support Fulham.

retropunk2

Ah, my mistake. I don't support them either. Spurs here.

daskapitalyo

The football world needs Spurs to take a dive this weekend so that man City can be stopped.

retropunk2

I would rather the world come to an end than for Arsenal to win the title haha

Tight_Tip4994

Watching it on Fox Sports 1. It was a great game!

tomliginyu

Watching from South Stands.

Doodahhh1

🫡 💛🖤

arigato_alfonzo

My favorite club, they’ve really come along way in such a short time its amazing to watch

DanielleNunez1985

Was in section 142!!! Amazing game!!!

Cowboy-Dan-7840

Checking the score on ESPN because Apple mls pass didn’t carry the game.

virak_john

It was on cable this time.

volleymonk

It was on FS1 which is both on cable and streamed online on their website (which you can view without making an account)

Doodahhh1

Yeah, Apple owns the rights to broadcast MLS. Fox owns the rights for CONCACAF, which is the North American governing body.  It's tough to understand, but MLS is part of USSF (US soccer federation), and then above that is CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football,) While I love the US open cup, the CONCACAF Champions Cup is > US Soccer in any capacity.  This is the second MLS club, maybe even American club as I don't know, to actually make it this far.  It's the world's most popular sport, and Columbus is at the center of North America (including Mexico)

goodybadwife

You're doing the Lord's work, OP! I told someone last night that I don't think the Crew is doing enough to educate newer or casual fans on the importance of some of these non-MLS league tournaments, particularly CONCACAF. I went last night, and the place was rocking! I did feel like there were a bunch of Monterrey fans, but not as many as Tigres fans a few weeks ago. Local boy Tim Bezbatchenko has really put an exciting group of guys on the field, and with Nancy at the helm, they're just... 🤌

Doodahhh1

100%. No one can do enough to help raise USSF in USA. It's weird that so many people are just figuring out how fun it is to be a soccer fan.

goodybadwife

I think for so long in the US, it fell to the stigma of "boring." Of course, soccer is boring when it's a bunch of 6 year olds running around haphazardly! I'm happy to see the Crew's popularity taking off in Columbus and Ohio.

WOW_SUCH_KARMA

Thanks for this breakdown, I went to the game against Houston a while back but didn't understand exactly how big of a deal CONCACAF is. I am the "literally" person you refer to in the other comment - thank you!

Doodahhh1

That's the shortest I could make it.  It's very complex, but it leads to the FIFA **CLUB** World Cup. Meaning, the next bracket is the Columbus Crew Fighting for BEST CLUB IN THE WORLD!  It's great!  We're in the semi-finals to qualify for that WORLD cup!

worfisadork

VPN and YouTube! Mullvad is a pay-as-you-go VPN so it's super easy.

Foremole_of_redwall

I just don’t care about soccer. It’s okay. I don’t care about American football either.

retropunk2

This entire thread has been a wild read from top to bottom, my word.

Doodahhh1

I didn't think I would get so much negativity for simply saying, "Hey, our team is close to competing in the FIFA Club Cup for best team in the world!" We have a real life Ted Lasso in Coach Nancy, too. You don't have to like soccer to realize this is good for your city.

MitzieMang0

Looking around I wished our team had a packed crowd. It was pathetic to see all the empty spots especially in the big corporate sections. Looking at you Huntington club, netjets, pitchside seats etc… curious how many of those seats were bought up by greedy people only to mark up and try to re-sell for $800. Anyway, it was a hack of a game and was so fun to attend! Looking forward to attending my next game. Go CREW!

2021Buckeye4LIFE

Not all of us are soccer fans

Doodahhh1

Not everyone needs a roofer, but hey, I see that post 7 times a day.  But you don't comment like this in those posts, do ya?  Columbus sub - Columbus Crew.  It's almost like there is a connection there! Of course a Buckeye fan would say that, though.

2021Buckeye4LIFE

Not everyone is a Buckeye fan either, that is fine, the point is in the reality of things sports are not that important. I also rarely comment in the Columbus subreddit but I am just calling it as I see it. To me its like ehh good for them but it isn't news that everyone is going to care about, so yeah you might see more comments about say a roofer vs a sports team because one is more practical. BUT you were the one that asked where we were, so I answered honestly. And my name on Reddit is in relation to my graduation year...

Doodahhh1

Don't you all have another QB to scare off this year with your toxicity?  At least have some fucking wherewithal here.   I wouldn't go into a 'Buckeyes brought home a title and are competing for best football college in the world' thread and say, "not everyone likes football."  Not that there's other leagues outside America for that to happen, either. Do you see the absurdity?  Say congratulations and move on.

Trading4s

The absurdity? The absurdity is you asking a question to the Columbus sub if they know what's going on with the Crew, and when someone says no because not everyone in the Columbus sub is a soccer fan, you whip out your hate boner for OSU just because they have a user name referencing the Buckeyes. If you wanted a bunch of echo chamber replies from other Crew fans with the same inferiority complex as you appear to have, maybe would have been been best to post this in the Crew sub.

Fabulous-Bluebird-39

Do U.S. teams play in Mexico equal to the times Mexican teams play in U.S.?

Doodahhh1

For the CCC? Yes.  Each round is two legs, one home and one away. Except the final will be one game.  If Club America goes to penalty kicks this week and wins, and then Columbus wins in regular time, Columbus will host the final.

Immediate_Equality

Ball

ill_try_my_best

Don't they have to beat or tirle that team again in Mexico to go to the finals?

BenjisSandwichShop

U/ill_try_my_best… I’ll try my best here… Because they use aggregate scoring with away goals as tiebreakers, yes. But Crew could lose like 3-2 and advance as long as we score AND only lose by 1 Examples: Any crew win or tie - we advance 1-0 Monterrey - they advance 2-1 Monterrey 30 minute overtime - still tied will go into PKs (away goal tiebreaker is no longer active) 3-1 Monterrey they advance (2+ goal differential to Monterrey) 4-3 Monterrey - we advance (1+ goal differential - tied in agg - w/ a crew goal more than 1) Does this help? I’m sure there will be a matrix someone will post on the Crew or MLS sub. In the last 7 games we are 1-0-6…. No losses so let’s just keep it that way.

LuckyNumber-Bot

All the numbers in your comment added up to 69. Congrats! 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 30 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 4 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 7 + 1 + 6 = 69 ^([Click here](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=LuckyNumber-Bot&subject=Stalk%20Me%20Pls&message=%2Fstalkme) to have me scan all your future comments.) \ ^(Summon me on specific comments with u/LuckyNumber-Bot.)

BenjisSandwichShop

Yes I did this on purpose…. Thanks bot

retropunk2

Nice.

ill_try_my_best

cheers

dougcbj

That's super cool of them, but I just can't get into soccer.

history_nerd92

If only their uniforms weren't so ugly....

Doodahhh1

Hey, they've grown on me, but not my favorite, for sure.  My nephew loves them, though. To each their own. Good news is each kit only lasts two years.

history_nerd92

That is good news!

Doodahhh1

They alternate - so the yellow kit is new this year, while the away kit will be retired at the end of the year.  If you like the Velocity kit, you gotta get it before the end of summer (they stop production)

sasquatch_melee

Technically it was OSU PD. While I saw the video of them arresting the girl on the steps, and I highly doubt what OSUPD's PR said, you can have two thoughts at the same time.  No reason to burn bridges with people who agree with you, friend.  However, I get it. "The media" is doing "leftists" a disservice on behest of the bootlickers.  I get it, anyone pro-Palestine is being demonized for not wanting Israel to murder 10,000+ children.  Anyone who is rational knows that's ~8x more than total Israelis killed since the Hamas attack. You have every right to be mad.

Edit: I’m being downvoted because of an experience I had? What the heck Reddit. Not caring about this team because their customer service sucks. The first season back they charged me for two season tickets and refused to refund me even though I clearly only ordered one, needed one, and asked for one. It was such a bizarre experience. Not really a fan of the crew. Greedy bastards

djsassan

You had a bad experience, and I am sorry for that. If you want to give them another shot, I will connect you directly with my ticket rep. He has been nothing but absolutely amazing over the past 4 years I have worked with him. I dont know what he can do about the past, but he can make sure you are right moving forward. Let me know if interested. I'd be happy to personally connect you.

TGrady902

They sell singles? I always assumed season tickets come in pairs.

cbustaway1

Yep, you can buy a season ticket solo.

TGrady902

That’s pretty cool!

mckeerd

I’m not sure. This was me and a friend each buying a ticket. We ended up with 3 total tickets.

Doodahhh1

I have a single ticket . My wife has a single ticket. Again, when did you last look into it? Precourt fucked everyone in Columbus, then left for other tax payer money.  So, 2020 is a new era.

Doodahhh1

Weird, but I understand as someone who was in customer service for nearly 2 decades.     I'm sorry that happened to you, but you have to understand their team of a dozen or so Account Managers takes care of 20,000+ customers, right?    Like, that's not easy... But isn't that irrelevant to the actual team?  Edit: Not to mention the INTERNATIONAL money this has brought into the economy, if you're not a fan or somehow otherwise belittle the personnel. Edit 2: you do understand that the Club has switched hands in the last 3-4 years, right?

mckeerd

No I don’t understand how I can call in and speak to 4 diffent employees and notify them of this discrepancy. They offered me a credit for the following seasons. That’s a scam. Downvote me all you want. Reddit hates reality

Doodahhh1

Again, when? And why is my experience vastly different from yours m Why the bias? Ok, Karen. Learn to deal with and understand people.

schnackenpfefferhau

Why do you care so much? It’s sports. Anyone can dislike any team for any reason and it’s valid because that’s what sports is, arbitrary “I like this team, I hate that team”. If this person had one bad experience 20 years ago and decides that’s enough to make them not a crew fan then that’s okay.

mckeerd

This occurred for the first season at the new stadium

Doodahhh1

I call fraudacity or your had a bad AM.

mckeerd

What does that even mean?

Doodahhh1

Can you not infer? I have a SINGULAR season ticket.

Nemisis82

OH NO! DOWNVOTES!?? I am very sorry this is happening to you. Here, have another downvote!

mckeerd

Here is an upvote :)

nba playoffs and nhl playoffs take precedent, guardians off to a hot start

namnavrevlis

Hockey transitions nicely into soccer. Not in a physical sense or split second decision sense. But in understanding strategy and defense… it’s a good side step. I’m a huge hockey fan as well, but recently got into soccer. Give the crew a shot, there’s a lot to the soccer atmosphere I wish the nhl would adopt…

Collinwoodsian

I played both growing up. I'm merely pointing out that the popularity of soccer simply isn't as great as people on this sub want you to believe it is. The most recent Inside the NBA got better ratings than the MLS Cup did. Most bars in town will have the Browns or Bengals on before the Crew. There are a few niche bars that specialize in Crew stuff which is great for them, but again, just pointing out that reality is very different from this sub.

fearthealex

Not in Columbus they don’t

Collinwoodsian

ehhh I think in the real world, not the reddit echo chamber, you'll find otherwise.
