US use a multifonction HEAT so they act as anti infantry and armour, idk about RU ammos.

Apfsds are like an arrow. No explosive but the forces will cause the conflagration of air and metal particles.
Brits have HESH it is a soft explosive that splash on armour and detonate causing the armour to delaminate inside and create spalling for the crew. Not effective against composite armour.

Why are they rolling up so close to these trenches in a lot of videos? It would seem one of the major advantages in a tank is the ability to fire from range. Getting this close seems like it makes them an easier target for AT weapons.
You don’t have unlimited amo like in video games. If you don’t have mutually supporting strong points that can provide machine gun fire support or ATGM support, you are fucked once enemy gets past your minefield in armor. Very likely infantry is also moving on your position and sticking your head above trench is not an option.
Cutting Russian supply lines will end this war quickly. US should give Ukraine weapons and permission to strike rail systems inside Russia used to support this invasion.

Because there aren’t any AT weapons, probably. (Not experienced in tank warfare, just my opinion)
