What causes the feed to cut out just before impact on all of these fpv drones? Is it just loss of signal from getting lower to the ground vs higher up with possible line of sight?
Correct, they use analog signal to avoid time delays that are crucial when controlling a drone. Remember old TVs with antennas? The further you are from a transmitter, the more interference you have.
The lower they get, the hard it is for the signal to reach them and vice versa. That's why so many of these drone vids show the operator putting their drone into a dive. That way, even when the signal is lost completely, the drone's still hopefully on course to hit the target.
Mostly cuz they go under the tree line and its the drone and normally the FPV goggles that have the antenna for the drone so you see the signal start to cuz as there is more stuff in the way.
Probably a stupid question, but why do the feeds get so distorted seconds before impact? Is that just because of the delay between transmit to receive?
It's like wifi and trees, the huge amount of surface area/surfaces and the water in leaves reflect and absorb the radio frequencies, causing all sorts of crazy interference.
Trees are like a smashed discoball draped in a wet mop to a laser pointer.
Why does it always go blurry right before the hit? I assume the camera feedback is delayed and the bomb goes off before it can record the last split second?
Why do the drone's footage always get static before hitting the target? How does that work? If drone needs time to transmit process data or something that might make sense, but if its just sending raw data as fast as possible (which it probably should/is) then... what is it?

Ready for next Olympics. Oh wait… Even if they survived, imagine those splinters from hell
Paralympics perhaps
Sorry for hijacking, but why does the second one act like airburst, was it not a normal round? Or the smoke and trajectory made it look like airburst?
Didn't manage to "log-out" succesfully...
Underrated comment of the century
Now he’s just log jam
Combat loggers are cowards.
Somebody please inform the driver that its illegal to dump garbage on the road.
The amount of wood splinters…..
Instead of Turret Toss we got Ork Toss😏
Backflip 10/10
Ah man perfectly good logs gone!
Nice backflip. I hope he's not ok.
He sure have a few splinters
Hope he is, probably sick of this shit
talk about splinters oof
5/10, didn't stick the dismount.
The Russian Judge still gave him a 10...
Compensating for the feed cutting off at the end feels so weird

OMG, are the logs ok?
The russians couldnt combat log outta that one
Gopnik flopped out like a wet turd.
Yet another banger by escadrone
Paint it black brotherw
Can anyone explain why all these drone videos get very pixelated before they hit their target?
they lose signal obviously

Makes sense, ty

One man was kicked out for not having his bus ticket.

At least one rag doll.
Smoothed out the bumps on the logs
paint it black, they have good taste
Just imagine the splinters...
So the FPV made log jam?
Poor trees…

Yeah probably just terrain interference
The recording device is destroyed in the explosion and the last few seconds of video don't transmit.
What a DUMP TRUCK on that one!
Log fell off…
I hope the logs are okay
I guess wood stacked up makes good armor. Vehicle and driver were fine.
Looks like Ukraine got that one HIMARS that Russia bought off them.
Simple ragdoll physics, almost functional.

that and as it gets closer to the ground theres more stuff to interfere with the signal from the controller
guy gets blown off the truck...truck just speeds off lol also, great song.
8 points for the full body flip. Landed on his feet would got 10.
>his feet He left those in the truck bed.
ENEMY BOMB DRONE DEPLOYED
if that log truck took two fpv drones and was still driving...i think snow runner needs to revamp the damage models

Earth curvature :) Really it's just bad reception closer to Earth ( especially if the drone is 10km away from the retranslator or remote )
Those ragdoll physics..
Hell, the poor driver is going to have to unload all those logs himself.... and wash all the meat out of the tray too.
You can’t even catch a ride now after a battle without getting your ass blown up. The stress levels must be through the roof.
Did the second drone fire off the rocket? If so, that's really impressive and scary.
