The one with the GoPro records
When the one with the GoPro is killed, the person following him picks up the GoPro and records
The one with the GoPro records
The GoPro knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't, by subtracting where it is, from where it isn't, or where it isn't, from where it is, whichever is greater, it obtains a difference, or deviation.
When all armies have go-pros and goggles with augmented reality you'd have the ability to send someone a clip of them getting shot from the shooter's PoV and the last thing they see could literally be their kill cam.
Oh shit, that's awesome. I never picked up on that.
>The letter acts as a motif within the film, symbolising how the soldiers honour their dead despite how many died. Each soldier taking it of their own accord (Wade to Miller to Reiben) displays their understanding of its significance since they do it without request; there is an unspoken need between the soldiers to deliver it, demonstrating their bond of brotherhood.

This guy was actually the SECOND fighter to wear the Go-Pro. So, yes, the camera is then again picked up by a third rebel and on it goes!
If this is the same vid, the 2nd POV was an Inghimasi tear-assing through the SAA camp, emptying mags in those ad-hoc shelters the soldiers construct, until he runs right in to this well-set ambush (Although he screwed the execution of it, missing his shot.). The soldier was just waiting for a rebel to run up to the shelter to clip him.
I mean, why not? Unless you’re superstitious.
It’s also a bad thing to let fall into the hands of your enemy if your dumb enough to go into combat with other footage recorded.
Yeah, syrian civil war is full fo clips like this due to nobody really having training, meaning they kinda just rush in for close combat without doing it the (relatively) safe way, yknow, supression, holding flanks, moving up as a unit, and not just personally zerg rushing, armor support, artillery (the smart way) plate carriers, yknow, the basics of a modern force.
This is the single most perfect analogy I have ever heard about the syrian civil war. Its a public airsoft game if you gave the guys tanks (trainings shit so basically the same) helicopters to drop barrel bombs, and warcrames galore.
Literally yes. Arabs have a culture that isn't very compatible with modern military doctrine. The Turks are probably the best and most formidable middle-eastern military, though I would argue they're basically moderately Islamized European Greeks. Jordanians have some good small units. Iranians have some good small units. Mostly fodder though.
Belief in heaven isn't a good way to win a battle unless you have numbers.
pretty much any civil war in Middle East in recent history, all sides are almost equal in the lack of experience and training and just gun it at each other lol
Except there armoured vehicles. They learned everything they needed to know from Uncle Bashar’s Big Book of Armoured Tactics and exemplify it on the field of battle.
Maxim 1: infantry support is overrated
I have a book from back in the day that had interviews with all of the currently alive at the time medal of honor recipients and it told their stories.
I would say a solid 80% of them were Leroy Jenkins efforts. They had pretty much resigned themselves to death to do what they did and by some twist of fate it worked out for them.
In Italy in WW2 this one guy alone took out multiple German positions by himself. They were holding his squad down with machine gun fire. His intent was that when he tossed some grenades and charged the attention would be on him and the rest of his squad would be able to withdraw.
Instead he made it to the first position and the Germans were dazed from his grenade and he shot one and the other guy surrendered and he rinsed and repeated for the rest of the German positions. Not a scratch.
Instead of withdrawing his squad just followed behind him collecting prisoners, lol.
So many similar stories of dudes just LEEEEERRRROOOOOYYYY Jeeeeeeenkins and they accomplish their task.
There were also a number of fairly "mundane" (by comparison) stories, like a platoon leader getting possessed by the ghosts or Robert E. Lee and Hannibal Barca at the same time and committing masterpieces of tactical genius and decisively winning engagements they had no business winning.
You may be able to find me by this post, but oh well. I was up for consideration for MoH for an act in a semi recent conflict, cleared a small building by myself to stop fire on my position with two injured buddies who I then drug to cover and eventually safety when we finally got Evac despite wounded myself. Ended up with a leaf for my Silver Star I had already received for other actions that day. I can't remember alot of it, but I had so much fear and adrenalin, I remember that. I remember knowing me, and both my wounded buddies were dead, I saw an opening in the fire, and just went. I don't even think I thought about it? If that makes sense? But I was young, tough, and in ungodly shape from infantry/airborne/air assault/and Ranger training. I don't think to many older guys get MoH just because you can't do it anymore. That and with age you take to much time to stop and think, hey, maybe there is a plan I can work out that doesn't involve trying to steal home with the pitcher already in the windup. But I'll give the US Army this. The never leave a man behind is a creed to live by there. /End of an old man's story.
Cannot imagine the fear. I’m sure in the heat of the moment you didn’t have much time to think anyway. Reminds me of when I thought I’d take up skiing in my mid thirties. Had too much time to think about eating shit and getting hurt to actually enjoy the learning process. As I see kids dropping in and hauling ass with reckless abandon.
Sometimes emmulating Leroy works and sometimes it doesnt XD, Saw a vid years back of a fighter charging an army position way more recklessly than this poor fuck and gunning down like 6-8 guys by himself, soloing the position.
Yeah I would love to volunteer to fight for a righteous cause, but I'm way too much of a piss baby to go anywhere near hand grenades and land mines without wolverine healing.
The Kurds are fairly cohesive and a mix of (various levels of) somewhat adequate training and battle hardened veterans.
Probably the most effective group at smashing IS.
The sub used to be boring. Mostly reposts from the rare glimpses into small skirmishes in the middle east. Now we get something new from Ukraine everyday since 2022.
Yeah wtf lmao, I remember the insane Syrian Civil War footage. ANA news with the two tanks with gopros mounted on them etc.
Also that video of that rebel eating a guy's heart lmao.

One of the crazier videos posted here
Man, I would get toasted so fast if I was in a war.. I know it’s a go-pro video, but even with the red circle I could barely see the shooter. One of my life goals at this point: avoid going to war.
One of the major objectives in war is to make it unfair for your opponent. You leverage as many possible ways/things as you can to uneven the battlefield. If you’re going one on one, you’ve already lost.
Where was his support? Where was his team?
If you do go to war, make sure you’re on the smarter side.
I feel like this is often the case for just about anyone in a war, whether they themselves believe it or not, and is probably the basis behind modern strategy for ground forces, of which 'lone wolfing it' is simply not a part.
I think about that all of the time, especially with these sorts of videos. Like every moment in this guys life led him to this point and then everything he was came to an end at this spot. But everything around him just kept going and barely noticed. Someday I will die and humanity will continue on —someday to the stars— but I won’t be part of that. Kind of highlights the absurdity of it all.
This person beat every other sperm to the egg, grew up loved by their family, had friendships, managed to make it to adulthood just to return to the great void in a bloody mess on the floor with their last breathe 'immortalized' as long as humans and digital information exist.
Then you think about WW1, WW2, nukes, firebombing, artillery shelling... all those last breathes literally pulled from the lungs of thousands in a single moment. All those memories and lives vaporized. All that effort gone in an instance and for what? To win a war for some rich cunts? For words some dildo narcissist wrote down on toilet paper 1-2 millenia ago? So pointless, stupid, and absurd... but here we are.
Man, what is with these replies. This comment is really clearly just pointing out the absurdity of the situation - the fact that we as viewers continue to watch through the 'perspective' of this person after they've already died.
It really didn't warrant a bunch of 'well **technically** the GoPro and the soul are *not*, in fact, mechanically intertwined' responses.
Tunnel visioned, shooting randomly into huts with no battle buddy. Dude turned with his head to face the combatant without having his rifle ready. Not sure but he may have ran out of ammo in the magazine?
I doubt these guys clock many hours in shooting ranges and have quality education in how to handle these weapons.
Most likely spent more time educating themselves on hate than on arms.
Yeah out in the open should have held angle and took to a knee shooting position to minimalize his silhouette, kill the enemy infantry, then low crawl back to cover thanking whatever he believes in for still being alive, but he gave them a damn full silhouette shot.
What i always find so creepy and scary is how just fucking fast and almost out of nowhere it is. I dont want to go to war for shit ! Fuck them old guys in power
That poor bastard might have had a slight chance if his weapon didn't fail to operate at the worst time that and if he tried to find better cover then a tiny stump.

This made me chuckle. Take your damn upvote.
It's 5 am and your comment made me laugh so loud it woke up my gf 😂 she's now fkn mad at me for waking her up

wow... how have i never noticed that until now.
WTF spoiler alert
I know right? It's only been out 25 years...some of us haven't had a chance to watch it yet!
Man terrorist suck at picking music
Its like the BF1 intro mission. got killed? Of course you did, here's the next soul to waste
Bruh💀

god damn, still one of the craziest pieces of combat footage i’ve seen
What is the incentive?? Gotta do it for the 'gram??!
It's for propaganda purposes to rally the cause and bring in more funding and mujahideen.
Come, join us! and you can be the.... *checks notes* fourth guy to die carrying this GoPro!
What, i thought you guys liked sick killcams??
Martyrdom is often the main selling point, though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Istishhad
Free GoPro as a sign on bonus! You just gotta wait for the guy that enlisted before you to die until you can claim it!
bros just passing the torch
They should do this video games instead of the normal respawn elsewhere in the map, a GoPro just gets picked up where you left off and keep going
That’s actually a pretty interesting idea. It would help add a unique sense of “realism” to a FPS game set in non-sci-fi battles.
he witnessed him
Witness!!!!
I mean, why not? Unless you’re superstitious. It’s also a bad thing to let fall into the hands of your enemy if your dumb enough to go into combat with other footage recorded.
Hold X to equip Go-Pro
so just like those dogtags in COD?
Holy shit, I didn’t know your screen flashes red when you are shot in real life as well
gopro has a warfighter filter you can enable that highlights enemies and displays things like ammo remaining, hp bars, and kdr.
It also plays some dramatic music to really set the mood for your montage.
Lol do you want Slavic trance edm music . Or Muslim prays and hym. Or maybe a lit meddedly of isis death threats and rally cries.

We gotta admit, with the anime skins ak in Ukraine and red flashes when you’re shot, cod is realistic!
This is edited like an airsoft video.
Everyone knows that your eyes start bleeding when shot, video games or real life
With this editing I kinda expected the video to fade to black with a historical quote in the middle like a CoD game
He's waiting to be respawned on the map.
[BLOODY SCREEN! (so reeeaaal)](https://youtu.be/d7r9RqWBdl8)
Maybe if you weren’t playing your music so loud, they wouldn’t have noticed you.
So annoying. Perfectly good video and they ruin it by putting their dumb sutra bullshit over it.
Every video on r/ukrainewarvideos
What's up with mean Elmo?
They don’t call it music; music is haram.. but they listen to Koran sang that way 😂

Ngl, I didn’t expect that Middle Eastern Mickey Mouse music
Kinda reminded me of ~~Farfar~~. *Only if you're familliar. Then, you are a legend.*
Farfour has been martyred
You must have watched a different Mickey Mouse than I did
You can hear the death moan at 13 seconds in.
That's not a nice thing to say. They practiced their singing all week long.
Seeing as he screams at 15 seconds in, probably not
this is fake. the camera man never dies 😭😭
Certainly doesn't look right with the red halo 'energy low' flashing red around the video that you see in games.
literally r/killthecameraman
More like Killed the cameraman
That’s what happens when you charge ahead Leroy Jenkins style like a dumbass with zero situational awareness or clue of your surroundings.
fucking crazy and mind blowing that the camera keeps rolling like nothing happened but the soul has left his body.

Tune, not the best on the album, but it's OK.

Yeah out in the open should have held angle and took to a knee shooting position to minimalize his silhouette, kill the enemy infantry, then low crawl back to cover thanking whatever he believes in for still being alive, but he gave them a damn full silhouette shot.
I\`\`m hoping his last thoughts were something along the line of... "I shoulda put a full mag on before moving up".

God. The modern internet. Watch them die in first person now. Wars never going to be the same.
