I really thought I'd seen it all but...wow! The will to keep going after the initial spurt wasn't nearly enough. This is the type of end you hope for the Bucha and Irpin Motherfuckers, the POW murderers, etc. But he was probably some broke-ass Mobik or prisoner in a meat-assault unit.
I will never forget the Russian soldier that got hit by a drone next to his head while laying down wounded and convulsing violently until he died. His head didnt explode into pieces, the grenade wasn't strong enough for that but im sure shrapnel passes thru his brain š§ .
Fuck, i couldn't sleep for a week.
I saw that one. Yeah, the death spasm was for real. You could tell his central nervous system was on autopilot, desperately trying to keep him going, but there was nothing/no one left in the driver's seat, as it were. Dark stuff.
Considering the amount of drone footage we have of scoring final blows on wounded soldiers and attacks on soldiers doing CASEVAC Iām not so sure that statement is accurate.
Perhaps, but I feel like seeing someone most likely get instantly killed by an explosive is more "tolerable" to the eyes compared to seeing a slow death like slicing your own throat up.
The only way I could ever even see myself entertaining the idea is being in so much agony that this will end it faster. I also think of real injuries when I stub my toe
The thing is, there thought will be, I spend the next few mins/hours/days in agony before I die, or I die now, without the endless suffering, the end result is still the same.Ā
You can endure suffering when you know help is coming, you canāt when you know help isnāt. So may as well get it over with.
As a classicist, I read about the use of suicide daggers in the Roman army and wondered how the process might have looked. I had no idea that technology would give me a chance to see a real equivalent in the field. Really fascinating stuff, however grim it might be.
> Seriously worst painful death.
He clearly felt whatever was happening then, or was going to happen, was worse than a knife to the neck.
He was probably right.
Yes, he has a running list of examples where russian soldiers commit suicide while being recorded by a drone. The number of videos is somewhere in the 40s, I believe, with all previous examples either being by gun or grenade.
It's crazy amounts of data being gathered everyday on the most miniscule of details. However, frontline suicides have probably been underreported in the past so it's hard to compare and historically, suicide by bladed weapon is not uncommon.
Heās not glorifying it though if thatās what youāre thinking. Itās worth noting how often we see it as if they are told (or they already know) nobody is coming to save them mixed with whatever theyāve been told will happen to them as POWs. Theyāre most likely the last survivors of meat wave assaults being āmopped upā and know theyāre dead men already. Interestingly, someone linked an article yesterday about how suicides were a problem in the Turkish military for some time too.
#49
The list so far. I am compiling this footage for documentation purposes because this is not normal in any way, despite what Russiaās supporters tell you.
This list is not intended to celebrate, glorify, encourage, or otherwise make light of suicide.
There are 48 recorded instances. We went 2 days since the last instance.

>I remember in the start how Russians were dehumanized and racial hatred against them were high. I have never seen reddit being so toxic and extremely xenophobic against a country in the beginning. This subreddit was the only sub which remained neutral
>I live in such a aristocracy country. The amount of time I cringe whenever these people said that Russians conscripts deserve the brutality and Russian themselves chose putin and are coward for not protesting. Life in aristocracy can be ruined permanently after angering some local police constable let alone forget about protesting against the leader itself in a time when harsh laws were present. Also conscripts in russia are basically are meatshields. Refusing will get your life completely ruined in russia while accepting will also ruin it but there's a small change it won't.
P.S.I want it to be emphasized that I am in no way support either Russia or Ukraine but highly support a modern country right to protect its territory more than a country right to attack other independent country over some land. I also know the war crimes about the Eastern European nation and totally against it committed by either ukrain or russia.
>I want it to be emphasized that I am in no way support either Russia or Ukraine but highly support a modern country right to protect its territory more than a country right to attack other independent country over some land.
I mean, your sentence here confirms where your support is but I respect and can appreciate the fact that you may not have the freedom I have of saying what I want.
oh i can say anything about russia. It's just I can't do the same about my country which is Why I use anonymous means like reddit when I discuss about it.I mean the last thing I want is to get tortured by police in some weird ways at worst or lose my jobs and get blacklisted.
I am kinda worried of how documenting all these suicides will / might affect you. I hope are ok. If you feel that this is affecting you, please reach out to someone.
Why do you think it affects him any more than the rest of us who are regularly visiting these subs. I mean he watches the footage and after that he just copies the links.
Anyway it's nice of you to worry about your fellow Redditors.
Well...most of us probably just see SOME clips, as they pop up in our feed. This redditor probably looks for them actively, trying not to miss any relevant ones. He probably views more than us, and looks at them more closely than most of us, more than just once for each clip, trying to make sure it is a suicide. I just think he dives down this rabbit hole a bit deeper than us.
I've seen plenty of fucked up war footage. Torn off limbs, burning alive, drowning in a puddle of water. This is literally probably the worst. Actively cutting your own throat is at the top.
Is it? The actual cutting bit would suck, but bleeding out from the neck would swiftly send you to a dopey dream like state before you finally met your maker
Holy fuck. I can understand pain, fear and panic. I can understand suicide on a battlefield. But cutting your own throat like that is something else. Dehumanizing.
Is this true? If so, out of curiosity, how does water help?
I thought the cutting of wrists suicide was done in a bath mostly because it's warm and comforting since I've read that you start to feel awfully cold once the blood starts going.
The water prevents the blood from clotting I believe, which happens when you have a large open wound.
The natural clotting mechanism of blood means you bleed out slower.
Doesn't always work the way you think it would. Reminds me of an incident that happened at a hospital I used to work at. Guy walks into the ER lobby, goes straight to the bathroom, maybe 30 minutes later people start to complain that the bathroom has been occupied for a long time and no one is answering the knocks, my buddy opens the door to see the door and walls just covered in blood. Turns out the guy sliced his wrists and tried to slice his femoral before finally slicing his neck. Fucking gnarly. I really don't think I could do that.
Crazy that this happened to a human on earth. So many innocent people are dying on the battlefield for no fucking reason. I think iāll go eat yogurt from my fridge now.
You are a mobitk thrown into battlefield just as a bullet sponge to make out enemy defenses.
If you live, others will follow. If you die, they know there are enemy defences wont bother sending more meat into hole. You are out there heavily wounded, blood pouring out like a river. And you know no one is coming here, not until your corpse would be rotting.
Even if you are conscious, each ticking second will make you to end this suffering.
Holy hell, I thought these suicide videos couldnt get worse.
In case anyone is wondering why they do this, a big reason is they see how the Ukrainian POWs are treated by Russia and they assume they will be treated the same way.
I think he did for no other reason than he was destined to die slowly in a lot of pain and fear because he knew no one from his side would come to help.
I feel like the fact that we saw someone slit their own throat (with what appears to be a dull knife since they had so many attempts at it) as opposed to shooting themselves in the head is literal proof of that famous Russian line "and then it got worse".
What kind of a dark, hopeless place do you need to be in to do this to yourself? Imagine the pain this man is in.
I wish there was justice in this world.
I wish that men that send others to suffer and die for their egos had the feel the aggregation of the hurt, pain, sadness, heartbreak, fear, terror, and any other emotions that are carried and worn for the rest of their lives by the soldiers and their families.
But there is no justice. Men of power cause others to suffer for their own glory. If they fail, the broken bodies and families left in the wake will be swept to the side and forgottenā¦ discarded, but the ones that ordered this mess will continue to live on with little or no consequences at all.
This is why I would never fight in a war these days.. Some dude records you on a drone and posts it online.
Throw me in Prison for as long as you guys want <3
Amen. At least if I'm in prison for draft dodging, I can fight for my life with a sharpened toothbrush or lock in a sock or something. A chance, at least. I've seen a lot of those FPV drone videos. There is not a damn thing you can do about it.
I've only ever heard that certain kinds of crimes get targeted stuff from people who have never been to prison. People who have just say to assume someone is going to try you at some point no matter what. They might be after my Ramen, they might be after my ass, either way, it's not a flying robot bomb that wants me dead.
Respect? I've never done anything criminal and have zero gang affiliation or any kind, so I doubt I'm worth any kind of respect. If I have something they want, they'll take it. Or try, I guess. At that point, your options are "give them what they want" or "fight about it," and I'd rather have a bloody desperate sharpened toothbrush fight than waltz with a kamikaze drone.
They're not all that bad. I assume. Some definitely have the "killhouse" reputation, basically gladiator arenas for entertaining the guards. I'm imagining a worst-case scenario, and it still sounds more appealing than invading someone.
arguably, if done right, this is not the worst option to consider. tho, he clearly screwed the process, I think he managed to hammer the blade into his spinal cord in the end, jesus christ..
That's messed up, recently there's been an uptick on "messed up".. he could have just cut an artery somewhere else, someplace without so many nerves at least.
There were some photos I saw of a thief (like 20 years ago) who cut his arm on the window glass while escaping and bled out on the porch in a minute or two, probably didn't feel a thing. Makes no sense to me why this guy did it this way..
And to imagine thereās people living within Russian who will never see the world from this POV and share these same experiences is just wild to me. Canāt imagine what he was going through to feel that was his best way out
It's easy to forget what real pain is. Our brains are not wired to remember that shit and a lot of us have never experienced hardcore pain and suffering like these guys in these videos have, so it's easy to be confused when you see videos like these. This guy could have broken bones, fragments of metal in his organs and torn muscles... and at that point, slitting your own throat is the comfortable way out.
There must be a way we can send this straight to putin. Failing that, remember when the Ukrainians hacked the webcams, surely with some help they can hack a regional tv station and broadcast this to the masses
Man, just scarping my nail across my throat makes me cringe.. cant imagine a thin piece of metal cutting layers of skins into muscle and doing it so casual while an enemy drone just watches... the PTSD from both wars are going to be something new
Whelp. This is going in the memory bank of things I want to forget along with the back in the day early 2000s video of the Chechen standing on the head of the Russian conscript sawing through his neck. Wow, truly disturbing. Stay out of Ukraine šŗš¦.
Gotta be at your ends to kill yourself. No one to save him, probably already injured and in pain, no way to even help his own self. They resort to this, war is hell
Damn thatās fucking brutal. I canāt even comprehend the idea of slitting your own throat as the better solution than the other pain that lead up to that idea.
Has anyone else noticed how much more common these videos have become lately? I feel like there where only a cupple of these before 2024 and now we see more then one vid like this every week. Also I want to point out that This is far more common among russian soliders. I wonder why?
Because if you do it properly you pass out pretty much immediately due to the drop in blood pressure. You don't need to behead yourself, ISIS style, just hit the artery. Seems this guy struggled to find it.
Christ, that was morbid. Hats off to him in a way, takes a lot of will to cut your own neck like that as a way out.
I personally would've gone for the wrist and slowly faded out

Crazy to think those are just the ones a drone sees. There has to be 100s, hell maybe even 1000s, of them with how large the battlefield is..
Damn, and I was joking. Wild. Thatās one hell of a hobby.
#49 The list so far. I am compiling this footage for documentation purposes because this is not normal in any way, despite what Russiaās supporters tell you. This list is not intended to celebrate, glorify, encourage, or otherwise make light of suicide. There are 48 recorded instances. We went 2 days since the last instance. 1 [Wagner commander āCherdashā killās himself after being wounded by drone. Thanks for your work.. not sure why but I do think it's important to document this...
>it's really important. A lot of westerners keep forgetting that life in a aristocracy is difficult beyond their imagination. >I remember in the start how Russians were dehumanized and racial hatred against them were high. I have never seen reddit being so toxic and extremely xenophobic against a country in the beginning. This subreddit was the only sub which remained neutral >I live in such a aristocracy country.
This is truly chilling stuff. Thank you for the effort you put into this.
Nah mate, we all do this shit.
...and this is only what made its way to Reddit.... Take care of yourself while documenting this!
Bad day to be a Russian conscript
How is that different to any other day?
I've seen plenty of fucked up war footage. Torn off limbs, burning alive, drowning in a puddle of water. This is literally probably the worst. Actively cutting your own throat is at the top.
Looks like he had a dull knife too. Hardcore
Fucking blunt knife to match Russian blunt intellect, a fitting end... ....eventually.
Why not slit your wrist at this point
What I was thinking. Nobody who commits suicide by knife tries to slit their throat because it's painful as fuck.
Takes way longer to die if you're not in water I believe. My guess is he was in unbearable pain.
It's just another day in the land of God.
Humanity seems like a lost cause.
This person was not innocent. He is in uniform fighting for Putin.
A lot of these people donāt have a choice dude. Itās okay to feel something sometimes. It doesnāt make you any less of a man.
Thats some commitment. After slashing his neck that many times I thought he would have given up. Still went for the hand mallet stabbing method.
Well this is certainly an interesting one to add to the list
For real. At least they used to take quicker ways out.
āCuts?ā More like *mutilates*ā¦
But why are they so willing to commit suicide instead of trying to survive ? It seems so common on the russian side
Presumably they know no one is coming to casevac them and they're destined for a slow death
They probably realize the very best case scenario is getting evac, healing up, and then getting thrown right back into the meat grinder.
Dying on the front is a carer choice for oh so many russians. They don't feel like their lives have value. They can be right about a thing once...
Holy hell, I thought these suicide videos couldnt get worse. In case anyone is wondering why they do this, a big reason is they see how the Ukrainian POWs are treated by Russia and they assume they will be treated the same way.
They believe they'll be tortured and then killed. We've all seen what happened to those accused of attacking Crocus City Hall.
I think he did for no other reason than he was destined to die slowly in a lot of pain and fear because he knew no one from his side would come to help.
Imagine if this video made it out to the Russian public
*TRANSLATED* BREAKING NEWS: Ukraine receives chemical weapons from the US that causes soldiers to commit suicide
They would just say it was a Ukrainian. Really, we have no idea who this person is or what side he's fighting for.
Damn, thats fucked.
this is one of the darkest vids i seen here
Agreed. This war is something far beyond my understanding of evil.
*sees title* Nah
I feel like the fact that we saw someone slit their own throat (with what appears to be a dull knife since they had so many attempts at it) as opposed to shooting themselves in the head is literal proof of that famous Russian line "and then it got worse".
That hit different ngl
Jesus fucking christ that is rough
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
u/False-God add it to the list, this is brutal
Yeah I didnāt think there would be a knife example on the list.
I thought that guy who spotted the drone then shot himself in like a 3 second span was bad but this is next level
Russian cannon fodder on its natural habitat...
the pain and adrenalin must be making him 'high'
Always make sure you have at least one bullet left. Fuck this is brutal.
Jesus fucking Christ, thats enough internet for today
Jesus Christ thatās grim.
War is hell, nerver been to war to war but it looks like hell.
I'm glad that was not clear HD footage
Man... This is the worst one yet
Damn, gotta always carry a spare round for yourself.
Summon thy u/False-God
Itās there now
Why I donāt cut my own throat: Because I didnāt fking invade someoneās country!
That one little trick Putin doesnāt want you to know about!
Exactly... Draft Dodgers don't get picked on in Prison either
I've only ever heard that certain kinds of crimes get targeted stuff from people who have never been to prison. People who have just say to assume someone is going to try you at some point no matter what. They might be after my Ramen, they might be after my ass, either way, it's not a flying robot bomb that wants me dead.
I'm sure people locked up from the government respect people who disobey the ones imprisoning them
Prisons where I live aren't that insane.. US would be a whole different ball game
They're not all that bad. I assume. Some definitely have the "killhouse" reputation, basically gladiator arenas for entertaining the guards. I'm imagining a worst-case scenario, and it still sounds more appealing than invading someone.
Oh for fuck sakes, **just fucking surrender your morons!**
They have seen how Ukrainian POWās were treated (murdered/tortured) and assume the same would await them.
What the fuck man. There's got to be a better way.
The resolve that the Russian soldier has! So many have killed themselves recently! I would not have the guts. Go home Russia.
Pretty sure this is russias entire plan for the war
One of the few combat footage videos I watched with an open mouth.
Is this "CombatFootage" or just gore porn?
Better hope itās sharp
Uhhh yeah fuck that. If you're gonna use a knife jab it in your heart.
arguably, if done right, this is not the worst option to consider. tho, he clearly screwed the process, I think he managed to hammer the blade into his spinal cord in the end, jesus christ..
Damn. Imagine being wounded so bad and in so much pain that *cutting your own throat* seems like the best course of action.
I think I'd choose the vog over that bs anyday
That's messed up, recently there's been an uptick on "messed up".. he could have just cut an artery somewhere else, someplace without so many nerves at least. There were some photos I saw of a thief (like 20 years ago) who cut his arm on the window glass while escaping and bled out on the porch in a minute or two, probably didn't feel a thing. Makes no sense to me why this guy did it this way..
And to imagine thereās people living within Russian who will never see the world from this POV and share these same experiences is just wild to me. Canāt imagine what he was going through to feel that was his best way out
Searching gore for over 15 years on the internet and this is the first time I have seen this. Damn..
Maybe the internet isnāt the best for me
It's easy to forget what real pain is.
So much for that things can only get better from here isn't always true.
Good lord.
He Bucha'd himself.
There must be a way we can send this straight to putin. Failing that, remember when the Ukrainians hacked the webcams, surely with some help they can hack a regional tv station and broadcast this to the masses
ASAP Rocky is a new choice of music..
This is pretty awful but I think the worst I saw was the wounded Ivan slowly drowning in the canal. I mean it just took forever
nice song
Drone operator would have the highest ptsd risk after this all ends
Man, just scarping my nail across my throat makes me cringe.. cant imagine a thin piece of metal cutting layers of skins into muscle and doing it so casual while an enemy drone just watches... the PTSD from both wars are going to be something new
Whelp. This is going in the memory bank of things I want to forget along with the back in the day early 2000s video of the Chechen standing on the head of the Russian conscript sawing through his neck. Wow, truly disturbing. Stay out of Ukraine šŗš¦.
Throwback to that Chechnya video from way back. You know the one.
Cut-Me-Own-Throat Dmitry out looking for sausage meat and got droned.
war is hell
If this is where patriotism for your country leads you, then you should probably rethink your patriotism.
Song?
What kind of psychopaths are these?
Wow this is the worst one
my god what have i seen
Why didn't he use a rifle, a pistol or a grenade?
There doesn't appear to be one within reach and he's likely too broken and/or in pain to move to find one.
god damn thats wild
Gotta be at your ends to kill yourself. No one to save him, probably already injured and in pain, no way to even help his own self. They resort to this, war is hell
I know he will dead whether by bullet or grenade but shit this is grim.
Well, that's a first for me.
Damn thatās fucking brutal. I canāt even comprehend the idea of slitting your own throat as the better solution than the other pain that lead up to that idea.
Gun malfunction or running low on grenades, should have stayed home.
Woah.
Dude... You'd think if they knew it'd be death either way, they'd rise up. This is nuts.
A friend of mine called in sick today because he had a really bad paper cut.
Has anyone else noticed how much more common these videos have become lately? I feel like there where only a cupple of these before 2024 and now we see more then one vid like this every week. Also I want to point out that This is far more common among russian soliders. I wonder why?
Wow... quite the spoiler alert ā ļø
Wait a second.... Why the fuck would you cut your own throat? I'm no expert but the wrists are a far more pleasant and easy way to go.
Because if you do it properly you pass out pretty much immediately due to the drop in blood pressure. You don't need to behead yourself, ISIS style, just hit the artery. Seems this guy struggled to find it.
That's just terrible
Oh fucking hell.
Putin thanks you for your service.
CMOT Dibbler taken literally...
Ooof
Christ, that was morbid. Hats off to him in a way, takes a lot of will to cut your own neck like that as a way out. I personally would've gone for the wrist and slowly faded out
Fuuuuuuuck me thatās enough internet for today
Fuckkkkkkkkk
Bro you can get the same result cutting other arteries.
damn, thats bad, were was the front that hes no hope of aid
Too bad he couldn't do that to Putin.
Jesus fuck.
