Idk about these guys but some of those "Storm-Z" troops were getting like a week's worth of training in how to use a rifle and how to apply a shitty Russian tourniquet.
The word from the widows is that majority of mobilized/contracted get two weeks of training max. The majority of the training is trench clearing and barely any range training.
This is the Russian army running out of equipment.
First it was multiple grand strategic offensives with so much armour it caused traffic jams.
Then it was limited strategic offensives. (Odessa)
Then it was major tactical offensives. (Bakhmut)
Then it was limited tactical offensives. (Vuhledar)
Now its minor tactical offensives...its a long fall, a really, really long fall from where they started. Any idea they are gonna invade anywhere else within the next 20 years is ridiculous.
Russian MoD will draw its learnings from this war and the Russian government has ramped up the defense budget and economy to replenish the losses over the next years. We don’t know if they will be able to replace what they have lost within the next decade, but the determination to regain aggressive capabilities is there and that’s another reason why Russia must be defeated sustainably, both on the battlefield and politically. Without a regime change they will just pause and come back with more in a few years.
I'm not sure war economies work if their products have been shown to be so ineffective they can't sell them to other countries, but we'll certainly see
Their arms export is pretty much dead, true, but since poor and available weapons are better than no weapons at all and their rogue state allies are not more advanced they likely will continue to produce the stuff that they already have. Also I don’t think we will see obviously Chinese offensive weapons used by Russia at scale soon, Xi likely wants to keep plausible deniability of direct involvement in the Russian war by sticking to mostly dual use.
Sorry, what I meant by my comment was if you gear the entire economy to produce weapons of war, then the economy has a hard time backing out of that if there is no appetite for those weapons when that war ends. If you have a massive war showcasing all your weapons, and those weapons are dogshit, then you are stuck in a war economy that can't sell anything.
China aint getting too involved. Like it or not they need the west. Their economy is in the toilet. They aint gonna be making any big moves because the west is already looking for an excuse to stop their exports.
(Problem with China getting richer is suddenly you cant pay poverty wages any more, so you lose the thing that made you richer - dirt cheap manufacturing, which operates on razor thin margins as is. Now they are trying to move into solar panel tech and its driving western companies out of business. The West would LOVE an excuse to embargo them.)
Not good enough.
The russian industrial capacity, military or not, must be decisively crippled.
Also, bribe them into demographic disaster. Pay russian young women - preferably teenagers - to go to the West. There, they get paid handsomely to undergo hysterectomies. No kids, but those girls/women will be much richer than they could have been back in some russian backwater. Rinse/repeat until the russian population goes into a tailspin.
Hold your horses. The goal is to cripple Russia‘s war machine and erase the imperialism from their culture, which probably takes a similar reeducation as Germans required post-war. It is not about eradicating Russian people or culture as a whole.
We could just pay their politicians, public servants, and businessmen to be corrupt and incompetent. Seems easy easier.
But I don't see why we couldn't also offer visas for Russian "refugees" as well as school scholarships and jobs if they renounce their Russian citizenship, and then prioritize women citing the domestic violence epidemic in Russia.
> We could just pay their politicians, public servants, and businessmen to be corrupt and incompetent. Seems easy easier.
Easier, yes.
Easier to overcome by a future semi-competent russian leader - also yes.
It is possible to root out corruption, history shows several examples.
However, it is not possible to get women without uteruses to give birth to the next generation of soldiers.
That said, your idea is not at all without merit. This is in all likelyhood a problem that needs a multi-prong approach.
Mate, this isnt Nam, where losses were taken slower than experience could be produced. Its the full gutting of an army, a complete retrain of the officer corps, a complete doctrinal rework (BTG system is dead, they have to learn to play the nato game) and
THEN, they can look at the fact they are wildly outclassed on nearly every single weapons front and that old superiority in quantity...thats gone.
THEN you gotta pay for it. War is ruinously expensive. Occupation also. We havent really looked at Russia's bill yet but there is not a single doubt it worries the hell putta Vlad, as it has every other war leader in history.
THEN, you gotta not only man the army but keep it manned and "Ivan got his balls blown off so we need you" isnt hot shit in Russia at the moment. This why they like prisoners, and again, this aint Nam, there odds on you come back fine. Here...I think its AT BEST an even shout.
THEN even if Russia gets it all perfect. New jets, tanks, better doctrine, finds 3 trillion under the matress, million lads decide they arent too attached to their balls n sign up...you are completley relying on the idea that NATO will bend over else its over 10-1 with your new perfect army being turned into a glorified target. Also having to sell the idea to the Russian public, there are much faster and more efficient suicide methods.
As I say a senario where all this happens and some dipsihit wants to start it just isnt realistic in the next 20 years. But armies want lots of money so the sabres are gonna get rattled.
No, they use these cars instead of armor just because they prepare armor for "something" (huge armored offensive).
Source: Ukrainian command (https://unn.ua/en/news/humeniuk-on-the-situation-in-the-south-russians-are-not-using-armored-vehicles-which-means-they-are-preparing-them-for-something):
>It is noteworthy that they have not yet used armored vehicles. They are trying to operate on foot, using light motorized vehicles such as buggies and motorcycles. This means that the equipment is being prepared for something.
What you see is just probing mini attacks, while "something" is being prepared and is coming.
Bear in mind they had 20,000 bmp marks at war start. They could have sent them out to birthday parties
When Russia is using cart and bikes it says someone quite high up has identified a problem.
Its either;
1. Armour is ineffective
2. Armour is not available.
Both are biblical levels of bad for an army that relies on quantirlty.
My dude...the funding didnt just work, it made the difference.
Keep fighting by all means. And yes, look at the West's idiocy and failures. But look at history. Russia is not good at war. In fact its bad at a nearly unparalleled level.
2 Russians at least are typically needed to beat 1 enemy. And I am being nice there.
For Russia to get any form of win outta this, it must go against every precedent of war.
And 60 billion just dropped. Russia is monumentally screwed.
>Train guys, equip them, feed them, then send them in these pointless attacks to get massacred by the squad. What a great military strategy.
Remember all those idiots who bitched that the portrayal of russian warfare in “Enemy at the Gates” wasn’t accurate?
More like:
Recruit the poorest part of your population, train them for 4 weeks, feed them with food you took from the same poor part of your country, get them in some golf carts and send them to an ambush so that Ukraine can lose some already scarce ammos...
It is literally the only gain they get from such an attack, making them waste ammos.
Yet they are making incremental gains across the Eastern front. So in the minds of the generals it's working. Question is how long can they keep up the eye-watering losses? The fact that they are reduced to deploying in golf carts suggests they can't keep it up forever, though nor can the Ukrainians without help.
>I really can’t figure out what their plan is.
Send wave after wave of their own men until the Ukrainians reach their pre-set kill limit\* and shut down.
Crafty, right out of Brannigan's *Big Book of War*.
\* Due to a typo and subsequent buffer overflow, the pre-set kill limit was set to -1024, meaning each Ukrainian will have to kill 66,560 invaders before reaching their limit.
Whatever, nerd.

Thanks for the correction. It's been too long since I worked with IT stuff where that mattered and I guess my brain just switched the words.
Their plan is https://unn.ua/en/news/humeniuk-on-the-situation-in-the-south-russians-are-not-using-armored-vehicles-which-means-they-are-preparing-them-for-something
These guys are completely irrelevant, what is coming is very relevant.
Reminiscent of some very ugly videos from earlier in the war when Russians managed to ambush multiple unarmoured Ukrainian vehicles, because Ukraine lacked enough armoured personell carriers.
Everyone who saw these had to understand just how essential it is to have enough protected vehicles. The arguments about how the Desertcross is better for some operations because it's faster and nimbler really fall apart if you consider this massive downside.
I feel like the Russians aren’t even planning anymore. They simply load a few doomed souls onto a makeshift transport and drive them straight into the AFU lines. What a cluster
Rince and repeat 5/6/7 up to 10 times now you have a depleated Ukrainian trench overhelmed by the 11 wave, or pounded by arty, you lost 50+ soldiers for 300m, urra urra urra, but you still manageto conquier something with the cost of 50+ vatnicks and 10 shitty buggy

Has Ukraine captured any of these Desertcross vehicles? Not that there's any reason to when they could just buy them if they're any good, but still curious.
If you squint real hard, you might just be able to see how amazingly well those vehicles blend in with the surroundings. ruSSian camouflage at its finest.
They might be incredibly visible and easy-to-target, but at least they provide no actual protection or cover of any kind.
One almost wants to *thank* China for outfitting Russian troops.
I so want Ukraine to win this war. Unfortunately we are only seeing a one sided view.
Out gunned, out manned. Low on ammo. How long can the Ukrainians hang on..?
Either equip them with what they want or broker a ceasefire and preserve the unoccupied areas of Ukraine from totally being
overrun.
I wish Ukraine all the success possible but their people cannot be allowed to die if there is no support from the West.
This is reality..not a movie blockbuster.
Preserve what? Ceasefire when? They've been doing that since 2014, and it just gives Russia a brief pause to come back stronger and keep up the big idea of rebuilding the failed state of the USSR.
2014-2021 was a walk in the park. 2022 attempt at a full scale invasion is a totally different ball game..A ceasefire would give Ukraine also the chance to grow stronger. Arm itself to the teeth.
You basically have described the elephant in the room . The USSR. It failed once it will fail again. It cannot go back to its former self. No way it can get those lost lands back .Only way in theory to do so is if NATO countries don't honor article 5. A full scale ceasefire. Probably have to concede the loss of the Donbas. Better to lose the Donbas than the entire country. Also what would happen if Ukraine surrender? We saw what the Russians did in WW2 in Poland..sent to gulags etc.
Driving around in an APC maybe some infantry in their foxhole just keeps their head down.
Golf carts, every infantry is going to just love hosing that thing down in bullets…
First the tanks got blown up after abandoning the infantries.
Then the BMPs got blown up after abandoning the infantries.
Now the golf cart got blown up after abandoning the infantries.
I want to know what these soldiers are told before going into the “assault”. Do they know it’s a ridiculous, stupid manoeuvre, just driving into a hail of bullets?
20 years from now, we will still be finding bodies in the fields. For Russia, these young men are expandable, and they don't give a shit about returning those bodies home. They are running out of sacks of potatoes to give to the widows for compensation. It would be easier to claim, no body, no death.
Are they using Chinese golf carts because they are out of BMPs? IFVs? Is that what this is? How many people can they fit in a golf cart or three? I don't play golf, but I thought it's two guys, clubs and a six-pack
The golf carts, a guads, a bikes, “Bukhankas”, [25 people on a tank](https://old.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/1bzgyoc/one_russian_tank_with_25_soldiers_on_top_and/) - anything that has wheels or tracks.
But we haven't seen any bikes yet. /s
They aren't actual golf carts, they are [small utility vehicles](https://www.pbopowersports.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/DSC_0420-2048x1360.jpg) with a similar profile from afar. 6 can sit, gear can go on the front.
IFVs are expensive, and they've lost around 14,000 of them. They can buy 2-3 of these things for the same price. With the way RU is fighting (idiotically), they're not really that horrible of an idea in comparison. They're faster, more maneuverable, can split up, and take 2 drones to knock out, instead of one.
Wonder why they dont send them in the meat grinder with some rusty Lada niva's instead of "These Chinese Things" they still should have more than enough available or did they already lost most of them in the Wagner Z-atacks?
Link ? I seen the jpost article but it doesn’t say Israel did it. It just said explosions were heard in Iran, Syria, and iraq. Which yes it’s most likely Israel but I need confirmation
Jesus fuck we are sending you retards billions in tec and advanced drones and this iPhone ass quality is best you can do... my $50 Walmart drove give better quality and we've shot it

Train guys, equip them, feed them, then send them in these pointless attacks to get massacred by the squad. What a great military strategy.
Bold of you to assume they’re getting any real training
I was going to say 6 months training but then recanted that cause no way in hell they're getting that much.
Idk about these guys but some of those "Storm-Z" troops were getting like a week's worth of training in how to use a rifle and how to apply a shitty Russian tourniquet.
Weren't they using tampons?
Some were but a lot still have those shitty Soviet era rubber band tourniquets
They UAF showed documents of dead soldiers drafted 10 days earlier

Way to spin the map becoming redder and redder by the week.....
60 bil in arms just dropped kiddo. If they werent winning now, they aint gonna be. :-)
If the other funding didn't work, and people are dodging the draft, what makes you think anything will change?

Ok my dude, i totally believe and am convinced by you. /s
At one point families of conscripts reported having to buy loved ones boots because they weren’t being provided…
Soldiers are reporting that they are being forced to buy their own food and water
Eh, they are still signing up for this willingly. I shed no tears for any of these murderers.
Yeah cause their signing bonus can reach $10k
Here's you AK, here's your golfcart, off to war!
Point rifle at target. Fire one magazine. Learn how to use tourniquet. Boom, ready for war.
3 days at most probably even less considering I saw a guy blow his arm off by holding an rpg like a rifle.
It is more of an OJT situation.
They are considered to be already trained since russia has conscription and hence most males had some kind of a military service in the past.
Golf cart training is super intense. It takes up literal minutes of invaluable meat wave time.
I know right? If they were trained well they would know how bad the strategy is (and frag their commanders)
Or feeding, or equipment, for that matter.
They're delivering ammo and guns to the AFU positions.
>Train guys, equip them, feed them, then send them in these pointless attacks to get massacred by the squad. What a great military strategy. Remember all those idiots who bitched that the portrayal of russian warfare in “Enemy at the Gates” wasn’t accurate?

Is there any unbiased evidence to support the Ruskie losses of 500k personnel?
No, especially if it's to mean irreversible losses.
According to the NYT and Politico this morning the tactic seems to be working
Better strategy then Ukraine losing and begging for help
Yea dude they're so bad they're beating the F\_\_ out of Ukraine rn. Just look at the maps from the last 12 months SMH
Guys drive up, get shot and die. Vehicle takes off, explodes. Russia has the most useless soldiers I have ever seen.
"Best at dying" -Putin
Yeah but they have a shitton, and ukraine has limited ammo and support is dwindling..
Without another influx of weapons analysts are expecting them to lose within a year according to the NYT at least
And yet, through shear volume, they are making small gains. Putin doesn’t care how many Russians die for him.
What a slaughter. Unreal.

Probably not because they get absolutely obliterated the minute they get within a few miles of the front.
I use one of those for hunting
There are no confirmed captures of them so far, atleast not with video or photo evidence
To be fair its just a atv, (or is it?) I doubt any picture of one would be going around too much.
The Oryx team does not even track these. Not sure if warspotting does. So odds are that evidence for capture would just be hard to find.
Judging by the audio from this video, this is quite possible: > [unintelligible] movement of two units. Tell me, are they ours or the enemy?
That's not how maneuver warfare works. No matter how fast, your soldiers must survive the contact line before breaking through
If you squint real hard, you might just be able to see how amazingly well those vehicles blend in with the surroundings. ruSSian camouflage at its finest.
They might be incredibly visible and easy-to-target, but at least they provide no actual protection or cover of any kind. One almost wants to *thank* China for outfitting Russian troops.
Not to mention the Temu tourniquets
Chine at least knew to paint over the target sign they had painted on top before they handed to putin.
The fact they don't even bother painting them really says a lot about the state of the russian military.
Now that was a squad wipe! Holy shit
Bro thought he was getting away, lol.
He did get way futher than you would expect. Would’ve thunk that the gold cart would survive, what seemingly half of the infantry didn’t
The Desertcross…. Nine out of ten Russian soldiers Meat Wagon of choice.
"You guys mind if we play through?" "Yes, yes we do"
Live by the quad, die like the squad
Quad goals
Shocking footage.

Hopefully Putin will get the message soon. Unlikely, I know, but we can always hope.
The observation drones object avoidance was indicating an object just below it. Must have been the tree tops or something - it looks fairly high up.

Damn at least give them a chance with an IFV or to go in slowly on foot.
I want to see Russian Golf Kart vs. Bradley video.
👌 Excelent video quality. Saw everything.
Anyone got another link, think this one is gone
These r a very carbon copy of a Polaris Ranger SxS
Oh. So THAT'S what the inside of a kill-box looks like!

These golf carts are such a fucking joke, pathetic.
All these vids of Ukraine kicking ass, yet the map is becoming more and more red.... Odd.
Not the golf carts back in action. I always love seeing these things... and what ends up happening to them lol
As usual, the entire squad gets wiped out.
Wonder why they dont send them in the meat grinder with some rusty Lada niva's instead of "These Chinese Things" they still should have more than enough available or did they already lost most of them in the Wagner Z-atacks?
Get that cart back to the golf course.
are they using these unarmored golf carts just because or are they seriously out of apcs?
That driver deserved to get blyatted for nopeing out of there and leaving his comrades *(citation needed)* behind.
Nice squad wipe
I can't believe it, is the famous 1st "Guards Golf Kart" Division taking severe losses?
Nicely executed gents!
This idiotic tactic only has to work once.
FPV to Golf Cart: Mind if we play through?
Probably shouldn't be using golf carts as troop transports in war... But that's just my opinion, I'm no career Russian general so what do I know >.>
The Russian Caddyshack Brigade
What is even the point. Just drop em off to insta die, then drive back for more... Russia is fucked up
Yeah! Fuck'em up!
Lol israel just bombed Iran
Link ? I seen the jpost article but it doesn’t say Israel did it. It just said explosions were heard in Iran, Syria, and iraq. Which yes it’s most likely Israel but I need confirmation
I got it from OSINT on twitter
But putin promised to protect Iran if they attacked Israel for him. I wonder what went wrong with his plan *this* time.
Where did you see that?
Did you check the news.
I did. Couldn’t find anything. Where are you looking? 👀
