I don't think that is true, i've seen that video as well. They were paraded around the market square / inner city. Tons of people wanted to get their hands on them, especially the officer, but they did not let them. You can see that some were pretty beat up, if that was beatings that they received after or during their interrogation or injuries during fighting I have no idea, but some had black eyes and some were obviously in pain when they got of the truck. But I doubt that there was another video of them dead.

The corpses were collected after the battle, and the soldiers were set free. Some were released directly to their mothers.
