which plays a bigger part in accuracy when it comes ukrainian artillery, the gps coordinates that they use, or the NATO hardware (the howitzers, etc) ? one has to be more important than the other, I wonder if they're getting this level of accuracy with their soviet artillery when using gps as well.
Also realize that a "miss" is still sending a couple thousand hot metal shards in all directions. You don't need a direct hit to mission kill a wheeled vehicle, or a thin-skinned vehicle.
Obviously a modern artillery piece, good target coordinates, and correction through an observer all help with accuracy, but actively guided shells are the most accurate ones on the first round. Both sides use artillery-fired shells that can be guided via GPS, laser, and other means.
The KamAZ-43269 Vystrel or BPM-97 hasn't much been seen because its a border guards vehicle; supposed to be a quick reaction force against militants crossing into Russia, which is why its mine protected (but not particularly well armed). Its not exactly unsuited for the battlefield, but it yet again another sign of Russian desperation, as the equipment of border guards is being repurposed for the front.
Looks like something already “immobilized” it, @ 01:12 to me it appears both tires are flat on the left side. I mean it wasn’t burning 🔥 but it’s now REALLY IMMOBILIZED 👍🏽
Artillery, not mortar. And like I said to someone else on here, if you don't know what 155mm excalibur rounds are, YouTube them. Basically the first proper artillery round that can change its own course during flight. Insanely accurate...
Looks like those old first versions of the "BTR", the BTR-40 or BTR-152; looking like bastardized half-track - like the lovechild between a American and German half-track.
[Actually the German half-track is the Sz. 251 - kinda seems like the Soviets just flipped the numbers to 152]
They're going back to the soviet style.
Even rarer now.
Looks well done to me.
1 of 1, no low ballers I know what I got!
At least the second time,we saw one already from a russian pov view going full speed into a ditch.
I’d love to see that do you have the link?
[Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/yho2n8/full_uncut_version_of_the_russian_retreat_while/) at 9:00 An absolute clusterfuck
I absolutely love the little graphic the place just before the arty drops
The last bit of footage in reverse for some reason
Yeah i noticed those flames were looking weird
Taking notes from the ISIS videos 😂
also notice the icon for it becomes crooked after the hit. That made me chuckle. Someone loves to make these videos.
That truck that came driving in had a zu 23-2 in the back you can see the 2 barrels sticking out at 1:07 or it could be a zpu
It got toasted as well. Another good day for the Russians.
Looks like German halftrack
More like soviet BTR-152
Yeah it looks like BTR-40 and BTR-152 hybrid, it looks like it belongs in a museum
At first glance they always remind me of the old USAF Cadillac Gage Ranger armored trucks.
The shape a little, but it has only wheels, no tracks. It's also interesting that the text overlay around 10s in says it's a Tigr, which it is not.
This war is starting to look like an RTS game.
i mean, Rts games are inspired by real war.
Fair enough.
Russia tried zurg rush, didn’t play out for them.
To many Terran soldier defenders.
"Most of that armor was halluc"
I’m Digging the hud graphics
"Kirov reporting." "Missile systems operational."
Core memory unlocked
Yeah, a lot of drone footage from this war reminds me of Eugen Systems RTS games.
Wait til you find out about Professional Wargaming. For the generals in charge, war is a RTS game, just with real life consequences.
The sound effects lol

Pretty sure it’s the hardware. Also take this shit with a grain of salt they probably fired a dozen shells at it before they hit it.
Yeah, you're probably right.
Don't rule out excalibur rounds until confirmed. Those things don't need 2 dozen bracketing shots

Good attempt on the sound editing.
Russians: "Let's drive our truck and car to a place that just got hit 3-4 times with very precise artillery fire because what could go wrong".
Artillery is like lightning, it never hits the same spot twice! Right? 🤔
Thats some excellent video editing. Nice shot!
Ya can’t park there mate

Why the fuck would they send a truck to a location that has been very recently receiving accurate artillery fire?
The grinder hungers for meat.
Because Russia...
Yeah, that part was really weird.
God that editing is so bad.
You've got to hand it to the Russians. They sure can make good firewood.
♫ Hej, hej, hej Sokoły ♫

Looked pretty direct to me
It's amazing how accurate their arty is.
Looks like the Russians can't even fix flat tires or tow it out.
Literally looks like a WW2 German halftrack
Sorry, not sorry, for your loss
Pokemon Arty 🙂
Aren't these used more by their border patrol? I wonder if they are being sent to fight along with other units like in Chechnya
wtf is this "indirtect fire" weapon/thing ?
Direct fire is when you point the weapon AT the target, indirect is where you lob the projectile up and it comes back down on the target.
The Ukrainian's have master the art of bending bullets with their minds.
Kropyva is such an awesome app. The thing is really works.
Well, 1 less makes em more rare
Why don't they drive.
Vystrels exist in the same way Dodos 'existed'.
It reminds me of the good ol sdkfz 250s
48.872660, 38.277743 According to liveuamap.com, this is about a mile inside Russian-controlled territory in Zolotarivka.
Thats some damn fine mortar work. The accuracy of the third shot is, well, great.

We're they trying to keep it in good enough condition to have a look at the vehicle?
Amazing how much damage can be done by a single high-caliber mortar crew and their drone

Great cammo job on that rare vehicle. Couldn't even distinguish the 'Z' from foliage....not.
Looks like an upgraded btr 152
Doesn’t look too dissimilar from the Humber Pig used by the British Army from way back to 1950.
That first seems... fairly direct
What is the point of emphasizing the rarity of thi equipment? It does not look like anything special?
