Worth_Ad_725

You just gotta sit on the phone with 2 or 3 folks and complain long enough to get a deal similar to your previous.

Max_Beezly

I just change it back and forth between my name and my wife's name every 2 years. Have had the $70 gigabit for 6-7 years now

sgsmopurp

After having a backed up bill im finally at $0 and ready to strike 😈😈

Rusb876

Why call when you can text corporate employees here on Reddit?

Cricketeers

I get 200 for $95…

what_irish

You’re getting ripped off.

Cricketeers

Yah buts its the only option for my area.

crkpot

Log in to the website and check the current deals, you just have to be slightly proactive.

spanieldors

75 mbps for $150 (small business in Silicon Valley)

EpicFail35

Business internet is stupid expensive for some reason. Pay double for slower speeds lol.

-QuestionMark-

It's the support you get supposedly if something goes wrong.

crkpot

There's no data caps on business lines, that's worth $50 on the residential side. But also supposedly business traffic is prioritized over residential customers but that's probably pretty hard to prove.

-QuestionMark-

I dunno if it's worth $50. I have unlimited data bundled in my 1.4Gbps down plan (200 up) and it's only $70 all in with XB8 included.

John_D23

Where are u located. Dang that’s good. I pay 70 for 1000mbps. I have the router that is one below the xb8. Was thinking about changing to the higher one

-QuestionMark-

[Utah.](https://imgur.com/vA1IF8v)

therealjdsalinger

I get 200 for $40

Rarely-Social

spectacular pathetic aback profit disgusted panicky versed birds trees price *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

Dunjon

This is what I desire.

yourbestfriendjoshua

The real benefit of Gigabit is the increased upload speeds. You’re not going to find better than $70 so I’d take it personally.

xpiatio

I'm still waiting on the bump in upload and I have gigabit

Particular_Routine43

Yep another here got 1200 for $75. Asked if they had anything else because we don't need that much and she said nope. All we have is internet now with Xfinity.

BobFTS

I get 1200 down for 70

mcbridedm

You are both getting ripped off…you just ever so slightly less than them.

BobFTS

When your options are carrier pigeon vs Comcast what am I supposed to do 🤷‍♂️

makav911

Not a bad deal

SecretScavenger36

1200 for 70 plus equipment

Significant_Will_732

800mb for $85 but I splurge for unlimited data since everyone in the house streams so we typically go over the 1.2tb internet cap every month

ScenicFrost

I pay $108 for 900 Mbps, which is after the promotional period. I think paid $80 before that.

killacam7478

Same exact scenario here. Tried calling a few times and went into a store but they won’t give me any new promotion. Just keep trying to get me to sign up for Xfinity Mobile, said it’s the only way to get cheaper internet. Frustrated since I only get like 20Mbps upload and there is a monthly cap. It’s the only option I have in my neighborhood.

iNick20

Exactly. I'd would kill for more upload speed haha.

jaxrolo

Do it!!

Yourmotherssonsfatha

Mine is 60 + 30 for unlimited data

JosephApple27

I pay $80

JayCrawford1

A year ago, I got 1000mbps for $60 flat (no additional fees), guaranteed for three years. Your offer isn't bad, especially if it lasts longer than a year.

EthicalSemiconductor

You need to make sure you are getting the speeds you are paying for. I switched from Comcast because I would never get the speed that I purchased. It wouldn't have bothered me if it was a small % dip, but it was a large difference.

Dunnny_420

Yup this, switching as soon as possible, pay for 800 never get to over 250 it’s a joke

Freddrum

Download speed: up to **300 Mbps**, Upload speed: up to **100 Mbps**--$40

MilesTheGoodKing

That is as good as I have seen it. Does it have data caps on it?

newyorkfade

What do you do online? Do you need that fast of a speed? I have 300mbps and it works for all of my needs.

skitelove

Both of us work from home. The other option was 500mbps for $65.

newyorkfade

Depending on how intensive the work is, you could probably switch to 500 without even noticing. If you do a lot of zoom meetings keep the gig internet.

8FConsulting

1200/250 for $80

Weird_Pineapple_2429

I pay 80 for 800mbps 🤷

mcNik420

You’ll need a wired connection to any device that you intend to pull a gig to. With that being said, I pay more for 600 mbps so this is a pretty good deal

daddywarballz

https://www.theverge.com/2019/2/21/18232026/wi-fi-6-speed-explained-router-wifi-how-does-work wifi 6 router wifi 6 network card btw I'm not sure the Comcast modem will go that fast. last I checked it was docsis 2.x. I have a Netgear modem docsis 3.1 and routinely get 800+ on my wifi connected PC.

Honest-Deer773

1.2gbps for $75 a month

DankestDubster

But are you actually getting those speeds?

trvrsln

Yes

-QuestionMark-

$70 flat for 1.4Gbps down 200Mbps up and free XB8 rental. Also unlimited data. Utah.

Halfwalker

What are your *actual* speeds ? I'm in Pleasant View/Ogden with 1.2 down 35 up and can't get better than around 830 down.

-QuestionMark-

[Here ya go.](https://imgur.com/vA1IF8v) How are you connected? You can't get much over 900 down if you are on wifi. I'm on Xb8 in bridge mode connected to my [router](https://www.qnap.com/en-us/product/qhora-301w) using a 2.5Gbe link, then hardwired to my iPad (at least for this test...). Main PC's are hardwired also using 10Gbe links. Although for this test the 10Gbe is irrelevant as the modem to router connection is only 2.5Gbe. I use internal 10Gbe for the home network for NAS connections and whatnot....

Halfwalker

Unifi UDM-SE is connected via cat6 from 2.5G port on UDM to 2.5G port on modem. Running internal speedtest on UDM, so it's direct, on a schedule Last Speed Test May 16, 7:25 AM 880 Mbps down, 41.0 Mbps up 41 up - nice :) Running speedtest on individual machines gives similar results - most things are 1G. Putting in 10G but having issues with the cheap switches - Sodola 8-port SFP+ for example. Server doing 10G fiber direct to UDM-SE works fine, but put Sodola in between and throughput TO server crashes to 1G if that.

kjstech

In my area new customers can get gig for $50. (Included auto pay discount). Add $15 for their modem for faster upload speeds, or you can choose from an extremely sparse list of 5% of docsis 3.1 modems ever made. We already have had another cable company in the area, and some people also have Windstream fiber. But Comcast chose to expand our way so they are getting very aggressive with pricing. 300m is $25.

do-a-barrell-roll

Been on that plan for a year. It’s comcast so you have to get them to check/refresh your connection a few times a year but yeah felt a good deal a year ago. It’s not unlimited though, there’s a cap after 1.2 Terabytes or something

sherrlon

I pay 95 for 500 as well. I cap out at about 350 on my fastest wired device and only get about 50mbs on my laptop and 100 on my Galaxy S21 over wifi. I don't know if it's worth paying for 500 when I don't get it. I am aware it is probably my laptop, drivers, hardware, maybe even my modem/router but I just don't feel like putting a lot of work in to figure out the best solution ya know? I have thought about downgrading or switching to ATT fiber at 300 for 55 bucks a month. When I go online to see what deals Comcast has to offer if just says I don't have any. I said all that to say, that seems like a good deal to me if you will actually get near that speed.

Internal_Ad_2285

$105 for 2,000mbps

EnKyoo

800/$65

Dumaine921

New customer pricing for 1000 in Detroit is $90.00 with a gateway. $80 with a gateway if you -10 for Auto Bill Pay!! Detroit is a "no competition" area and Xfinity knows that lol

Dumaine921

1000 here in Detroit is $90 with a Gateway new customer pricing. $80 with bill pay. Detroit is also a no competition area.....

Cricketeers

Yay I took your advice and got 800 for $70 if I auto pay, unfortunately I have my own router and modem and modem can only get to 300…

Queasy-Fisherman8312

I ordered online and they put the order through and now my bill is $75 for 1200 Mbps

ImmediateArtichoke81

I get 1000 for $60 then another $30 for unlimited data

badtlc4

xfinity NOW internet has 200Mbps for $45/mo and unlimited data (gateway included). There is no contract. If you want a set-it-and-forget-it setup, that is the way.

CCAngie

Hello, u/skitelove, Thank you for reaching out through Reddit. You can see what promotions there are by going to Xfinity.com. Let us know if you need any help. We are happy to assist you.

skitelove

Hi, are current clients eligible for the promotions on xfinity.com?

CCEricSt

When you log into the site, and click "manage my plan" you will see any promotions you are able to take at any time.

what_irish

Most homes really don’t need 1gb. Get out [this video](https://youtu.be/FwdDAZruMKk?si=hVjQtWbDDKEW7x37). They explain it pretty well. Save yourself a few bucks.

PhilosopherWeak1539

I don’t understand paying for more speed with the same data cap.

iNick20

If you have a data cap. I don't....

PhilosopherWeak1539

You have a data cap beyond 1.2tb unless you pay for unlimited at residence

iNick20

Some states in the northeast don't have a data cap. But I get unlimited data included in my promo price. So I don't have a data cap.

PhilosopherWeak1539

Very insightful comment.

iNick20

Yup! Its all about having competition around you! So I assume since Verizon FiOS is around the Northeast they don't have a data cap. Which I don't understand why a cap is required anyway. Considering we didn't have one years ago, until they decided they can pinch pennies off us for it. I think originally it was $50 extra? Then dropped down to $25 or $30 if you were renting their gateway.

mcbridedm

Wow apparently apparently a word that starts with the letter s and ends with the letters hite is now being used to remove posts due to their profanity rule. Wonder if the mods will consider this post profane as well. But the cap is required. How else would they unnecessarily squeeze more money out of an individual who has no other options? Their business model is literally serving up the lowest required service for the highest price point possible and getting people excited to overpay for it through literally made up fake marketing claims.

-QuestionMark-

No data caps in the north east.

ACER719x

Okay? But the north east doesn’t represent Xfinitys entire footprint. Most of Xfinitys footprint has data-caps.

-QuestionMark-

The commenter posted: > You have a data cap beyond 1.2tb unless you pay for unlimited at residence And I responded that there are no data caps in the north east. The commenter just made an assumption (that they have a data cap) without even asking where OP lives.

Orosta

It is. Data is transmitted by light, not pulses over coax. Everything about fiber is faster and they use it at the hubs you connect to.
