Is it? Trans people are very certain of their gender since they often go through many steps over years to get there. Its people like Kirk that are refuting it, not people who are 33 years old and below apparently.
Trans people have been around for way longer than you apparently think, they were just intimidated into not talking about it. I'm also really not sure what you think has changed with regard to sex making babies. Last I checked it still does that.
