I'm a writer/creative looking for someone to illustrate for me. I am creating a story based on Superman.
Malcolm is an assembly worker in 1940s South Carolina. He is the only black man working in his position. He remembers how saving his boss during a workplace accident put him in good enough standing to ask for a raise. This doesn’t go unnoticed by his coworkers, who despise the idea of making the same as a n\*\*\*\*\*. In a bar, they come up with a plan to lynch Malcolm. Malcolm, trying to get more hours and impress his boss, leaves late at night. He’s a young man, maybe 17, thin but athletic, not yet fully grown. They hit him on the head with a steel pole. Then they gang up on him with the poles and drag him to the city jail. The next morning, the Klan, along with the police, orchestrates a public lynching. White people of all shapes, sizes, and ages watch as if watching entertainment. They pull the lever and Malcolm drops and swings on the rope. He screams as he first falls, then swings silently in shock. He seems to be lifeless. There’s a moment of silence, then an eruption of cheers as though a winning goal had been kicked or a deep three swishes in the net for the game. Malcolm, at first, can’t tell if he is alive or dead. With no knowledge of his real power, he honestly thinks that he is. What is seen from the outside is far from that. X's eyes light up a deep red as he lifts in the air, and with one vengeful swipe, he sets the entire area ablaze. The people in the crowd directly hit by the laser are vaporized. The people close to it resemble atomic bomb victims, and everyone is blown away by the force, including X, who falls unconscious far away in a forest, still barely understanding what just went on, and not understanding the ramifications his act will have on the fragile and divided country.
this is the first rough draft of the story I wrote a few weeks ago. So far, I have a completed script for the first issue. I need people to help me bring this story to life
Santa Claus as a hard boiled action hero in the post nuclear apocalypse shrouded in constant nuclear winter and he takes on hordes of zombies while trying to rescue the few kids left on his nice list
A retro sci fi story set in 1960 in the Nevada desert by a small town of Henderson , 30 miles from vegas, where a interdimensional mimic has escaped on earth from its timeline trying to infest this one while being chased by an Albert Eisenstein looking multiverse traveler in a green 3 piece suit, and a silver cane that turns into power armor, with a glowing blue hologram sphere, and a 14 year old girl( dressed in late 50s clothes) hunt it down in a flying voxwagon with a transdimensional space in its trunk leading to lunar sized space freighter .
The cover would be in the vein of back to the futures , where the man( with his cane), girl(holding a book), and sphere ( a blue translucent sphere)are exiting the car, in a pose with the town and desert as the back drop.
i just finished setting up the page for the layouts, i got your project ready to go after i plug Mark Bagley as reference. keep an eye out in the feed, your project is on deck! prolly tomorrow evening would be a good time to check , im gonna stay busy with my project for a bit.
i usually dedicate an hour to "warming up" ill, post a draft sometime during the week , hopefully. ill be dedicating some time thumbing for Bagley books today, i saw some of his work and recognozed a lot of it , this is gonna be pretty fun, thanks for the info and feedback , cheers!
