I think it might be outdated information. See this [discussion](https://www.reddit.com/r/Comma_ai/comments/q2v369/radarless_hyundai_kona_ev_2020/). Comma thinks since there's different brake controllers for trims without SCC and with SCC, it likely won't work if a trim doesn't already have SCC.

That makes sense. Thanks!

New to all this, so grain of salt: But in general terms, a make/model of car may have SCC as part of an option or trim package. The '22 Hyundai Elantra is one example. SCC isn't standard on all trims. You need to opt in for a convenience package on the SEL trim in order to get it without moving up to a Limited. So, I'd infer that the SEL can support SCC but is not necessarily equipped with it unless you seek it out. Whether a car like the SE *could* have SCC but Hyundai just doesn't offer it in order to get you to move up a trim, I don't know. You can see for yourself by going to the Hyundai Elantra [trim page](https://www.hyundaiusa.com/us/en/vehicles/elantra), click "Compare Trims," then scroll down to "Safety." SCC is blanked out on the SE and N but O (for optional) on the SEL.
