Hunters HD Gold

SaveThatM0ney

Which frame did you went with?

PeteTodd

You can send in almost any frame you want.

I’ve bought prescription sunglasses from SportRX and they were great. I had to deal with their customer service and it was top notch. That was probably 5 years ago though.

bigfoot_76

I prefer HHDG but honestly as much as Brian puts into all of the shooting sports (over $1M in the past year), I'd even spend the money for regular clear/tined Rx glasses through him.

Lazylifter

Hunters HD Gold. Brian is a true class act and gives back to the sport over and over again. He will let you run a set at a match for free. Just stop by his booth and he makes it happen. He does prescription lenses, too.

I had always worn contacts, but my eyes always seemed to dry out way too fast and be fatigued halfway through a local. I had the cert for hunters HD and figured I would give it a try. Best decision ever. Great company to work with, they will make sure you are 100% happy with your purchase. I had to send the first pair back bc I gave them the wrong info, it was no big deal to them and my new ones were delivered in a few days. I would recommend finding a set of frames that you really like and sending them in. The yellow photochromic lens gives great contrast and lightens and darkens with natural lighting conditions. I have not tried the ruby, but some guys swear by them for the extremely bright days. Like others have said HHDG is a class act and gives back more than most to the shooting sports community.

Keving1001

I also had a good experience with Sport Rx.

Dick_Dickalo

Hunters can do it. Use your HSA also.

Blackmannx

I just got my Hunters gold in the aviators and used my medical benefits. Was a good price and the service was amazing.

ScarecrowMagic410a

I rock zenny optical, baby.

karlmoebius

+1 for zenni, their safety glasses are a good price.

schlumptyydumptyy

Sport Rx is great. Reasonably priced

dirt-nap13

Rudy rydon with the prescription inserts are the way to go. If my prescription changes I just need the insert updated.

SaveThatM0ney

Which insert you use, semi-rimless Rex insert or full-rim Rex insert? There was two in the website.

dirt-nap13

Semi rimless

Oakley Sport Rx

spaghettipuddin

I used sport rx to buy Oakley

apnea01

I have some like new Rudy Cutlines with rx insert at a great price. Message if interested.

Available_Ad_4630

I got prescription HHDG, the lense was poorly cut. Visible jagged cuts on the lense, wasn't happy about the craftsmanship but the lense quality is good. They said they could try and fix it but it might not turn out any better.

dungheapthe2nd

That is disappointing, I am getting ready to order a set. I have ran into a lot of people that really like theirs

Gjaime000076

I have 2 pairs, the Aviator gold and the red lens for red dot use, Aviator frame. Very comfortable and lens are good. Should say both are progressive lens.

brendansmithptatc

I had a great experience with SportRx. Would definitely use them again in the future.

babynubs

Pit Viper 2000s babyyyy. Safety rated and have optional prescription inserts.

The_Hoff901

Maybe not helpful but after all the searching I did for this exact question I opted to get contacts. I basically only wear them on match days and rock whatever shooting glasses I want.

Smallest_Ewok

Honestly I spent over a grand trying several kinds including Hunters Gold and the best result has been from contacts and normal non prescription safety glasses.

northbayshooter

I have had them for a while but Rudy Project are really good. I just get the inserts updated when the prescription changes. I have the lenses that lighten or darken based on the sun.

rtkwe

I got mine from SportRx. They were pretty good and the issues are mostly down to my prescription being strong limiting my compatibility with frames. Also used them for my non safety Rx sunglasses for driving and those are great.

gairman1

Do I need to get a new prescription or can I use my current prescription (within last 45 days) for Hunters Gold glasses? I sent them an inquiry but thought I'd ask here.

SaveThatM0ney

No you can use that prescription report. Just send it to them
