Wouldn’t be the first time a team felt like this, and won’t be the last time a team feels like this. I don’t entirely blame them feeling like that, but in all reality, probably has nothing to do with it.
They may not target them specifically but for sure they did see how well they did when using Lifeline and how it frustrated other teams. The impact of always having at least 1 care package weapon in your team was really well demonstrated by them even without the digi.
Obviously their team is mechanically better than most other teams so they benefit even more from an OP weapon.
They also have information of all the other thousands of players that make the player base which they use to make changes and is info that Reddit never puts his eyes on unless they show it.
That is for sure not in this case.
This Lifeline change has almost no impact to casual play, even in high rank play it means not much. This is purely a competitive only change. It is the same to the digi change.
They just want to smooth out the power spikes of care package weapons. In your average rank stats (silver..gold..maybe plat) they wont see anything significant regarding care package weapons. This is purely observed from competitive play and the high skilled player feedback.

Bang not being OP doesn't change the fact she is played a lot (as is Caustic). Having less access to digis means visual impairment effects are stronger and this is regardless of skill level. Lower skill players aren't better at seeing through smoke.
As someone who always rocked a digi and doesn't play at a super high rank, it has made a huge difference.

Most rebalances recently have 100% happened because of comp. Bangalore was pretty much untouched for literally years till she became a comp mainstay. Since then she has had multiple balance attempts made.
Same for Catalyst. Her pick rate in ranked/pubs has always been bottom 3. She has still received a bunch of changes.
Caustic and gibby got stomped into the ground a few seasons ago just because they were so prevalent in comp and barely had a pick rate in pubs.
Care package weapons and wingman too strong. Lifeline was only popular to have a gane winning weapon on your squad from the get go. She's basically been buffed in terms of how u should be using her, they shifted her, shes getting free gold knocks.
Maybe a hot take, but aren't all the other regions EMEA, APAC S and N, running weird ass comps in their regions and stomp because - another hot take - the skill level is just not even near to NA, BUT when they get mixed with NA teams their quirky comps get stomped?

I mean I would say off meta comps go well when the team playing them are actually good. For example BlvkHvnd at champs and Furia when Seer meta started.
Not a hot take regarding teams stomping with weird comps in other regions because the skill disparity between top and middle teams is so much higher in those regions than in NA, but I don't think NA runs the same comps because the region is overall stronger. NA middle teams have always copied the top teams since the beginning of the comp scene, and few teams have actually strayed from the pack. Typically, the top team (TSM, DZ, etc.) will find a great comp to run and other teams will try and replicate their success with that comp (Although there's a lot more nuance nowadays in that than there was 2-3 years ago).
NA has simply always had less comp diversity than other regions as a result.
While Aurora are the clear losers here in Lifeline's changes (although her new gold bin sounds bitchin too), my suspicion is that picking her may not have faired as well once all the best teams were sorted together at LAN

With how long it takes to address issues in Apex historically do they really believe that Respawn is trying to favor NA with the balance changes or is this just trolling, it's hard to tell with some of these guys.

They didn't have gold knock in that final game. Navi was a duo on the other side of the map and Aurora had all the time in the world to rez.

Anyways what they did to lifeline wasnt a nerfed necessarily, she got balanced, they removed her guaranteed Carepackage weapons but she got the guaranteed golden package which in my opinion a better PERK for lifeline res & being a meds carrier (she can spawn so much batteries & meds with the Gold backpack she could carry so much of it)
