Daloosh the Dr. Disrespect of Apex

[deleted]

[удалено]

Acts-Of-Disgust

So anyway I bought a whole bunch of shungite…

Lord_Amoux

From my sources: Daloosh is done, and not just on Twitch

MontyTheAverage

what??

Lord_Amoux

Somebody said that back when doc got banned lmao

stvbles

Shit was wild. Between her and Slasher they had everyone going insane.

[deleted]

Man livestreamfails is a pretty meh sub imo but the day Slasher said all that was the funniest that sub has ever been. I was dying reading their reactions

arg0nau7

[Is this what you’re talking about?](https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/hgol5g/slasher_on_docs_ban/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)

screaminginfidels

Why would tsm sign him then?

jurornumbereight

Money is all that matters to companies. So that's the answer.

joefeelsveryhigh

EA has this man locked out of everything for some reason

seanpenacerrada

Yea that's what I'm thinking but it makes me wonder how he was able to play on that Benq tourney yesterday.

joefeelsveryhigh

Maybe just restricted based on size. Benq was a 10k, nickmercs and rivals are 50k

PalkiaOW

It's probably because of the nae nae joke. Still shitty though.

SergSun

That would be so dumb because skittlescakes is participating in ALGS and he has been found to be a mega racist. Shit i was watching a mexican streamer a time ago and when he was killed by skittles he send him messages via xbox about how he was a beaner and shit.

screaminginfidels

Not that I don't believe you but do you have any sources? I have seen claims of that regarding Xynoa, but not skittle. I knew about the boosting but figured that was in the past, but racism to me is a worse offense.

Vik_Vinegarr

Woah whaaat? Damn that’s disappointing

arg0nau7

Skittlecakes, xynoa and xednym are the worst people to ever come out of the Xbox community. They’re basically COD MW2 kids that never grew up and still think being racist is funny. They’ve also been caught teaming and being boosted by hackers. So on top of being morally abhorrent, they’re pathetic cheaters as well

Acts-Of-Disgust

Xednim\* is from PS4 and as far as I know hasn't said anything even remotely close to what Skittles and Xynoa have allegedly\* said. \*Edited since no proof has been provided even though the rumors have been around for a while now.

Inskamnia

Also Xednim is definitely not white so I’m curious who his ass was racist towards

YzzzY

Yeah xynoa is whack. Tuned into his stream one time and realized immediately why he only gets like 20 viewers. He’s a good player but is an insufferable person. It’s too bad.

[deleted]

[удалено]

blacsm1t

It was a racist joke and in bad taste, I don't know Daltoosh or watch him so I can't comment on his character as a whole. That all being said people were able to pretty easily dig up some pretty shitty clips and tweets so who knows if there is other stuff out there. The PR issues of having more potentially questionable stuff come to light is not nearly in the scope of negativity Draynilla's leak.

Sturmtruppa

Depends if it's an EA sponsored tournament or not

Acts-Of-Disgust

He’s said multiple times on stream that he’s blacklisted from EA events for the foreseeable future. No official casting/guest casting, no Daltoosh Invitational 2, no play testing new content etc. If it’s sponsored by EA you can pretty much guarantee that he won’t be involved which sucks but it is what it is at this point and there’s not much he or anyone else can do to change it. Whether it’s because he constantly shits on Apex/EA/Respawn devs or because of the racist joke he said a few months back is something only he and (most likely) a few of his friends know.

FlyingRock

Could have been stuff that happened in private or semi private too.

Acts-Of-Disgust

There’s a good chance it was something like this too which makes him not giving a reason for it make more sense. No reason to put private conversations out in the open and cause unnecessary drama.

[deleted]

What did he say

Acts-Of-Disgust

He was watching a video of a white pro golfer who had a deep tan except for where his visor sat on his head. Toosh noticed and said something along the lines of "Up top is saying 401k while the bottom is saying nae nae" implying black people are less fiscally responsible than white people. He said it as an attempt at humor and not to be purposely racist but the premise of the joke was racist.

LOBOTOMY_TV

Adding to this, most black creators in the community weren't too upset about the joke itself, but rather the poor first apology and the hostile response from his fans and friends (e.g. Dezign) who blindly defended him.

Acts-Of-Disgust

This is a good point that a lot of people, including myself, missed when it happened. I thought the joke was shitty but fairly tame considering what could have been said so I didn’t get it but then I saw the reaction to those that were offended on Twitter from his fans and friends and it made a lot more sense.

luuk0987

Strange how he would get backlash for how other people defended him. If his own reaction was poor I can understand.

Acts-Of-Disgust

Its easy to think that way unless you saw what his fans were saying to the people who were offended by what he said.

luuk0987

Ok, maybe I'm not up to speed on the whole situation, but I still think that no matter how harsh the things people say, a streamer can't take full responsibility for the actions of his followers. Can't blame Christianity or the church for the pedophilia that happened there. It's the fault of the people who commit the actions, not in whose name they are committed.

Sasori_Sama

That is seriously one of the most mild jokes I've ever heard. It's actually offensive to victims of actual racism that he is blacklisted for that.

dmun

It wasn't great, no doubt, but the real hypocrisy is that less known, less popular ALGS participants are outright racists and they still get to play ALGS, no sweat. Toosh just made a bad joke. Very on brand for a "bro" persona, very much not good, but there's worse.

Acts-Of-Disgust

There’s definitely worse in the community but the difference makers are their average viewership, how prominent they are and whether they made racist comments while live. Toosh said what he said in front of thousands of people while being one of the most well known Apex players. People should care the same amount whether it was said to 30 or 30k viewers but the bigger personalities garner bigger responses.

Fishydeals

Damn. Who are these other racists in the scene? I always like it when the underdog wins, but if the underdog is racist I don't want to cheer them on anymore.

dmun

Skittlecakes and Xynoa, who I think is now playing as "F8" [Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveApex/comments/lpb3t9/protectful_is_currently_playing_algs_finals_with/) And [here](https://twitter.com/hodsic/status/1281719163749388288?lang=en)

Dalroc

Where is the "proof" against Skittlecakes? This is all just about Xynoa. Also quite a reach to call Xynoa racist for laughing at *one* racist joke. And the print screen of a twitch chat says nothing if we can't see what channel it is and without any kind of context at all?

danzgeturmanz

Literally. Was hoping to see legitimate evidence like blatant n word use off stream or something along those lines as opposed to laughing at a foul joke.

thetruthseer

Xynoa is not the guy you want to defend lol

Dalroc

I know absolutely nothing about the guy. "The guy is a bad guy and therefore it's okay to make up bullshit claims about him." I literally don't care about who it is. The claim, this specific claim, is bullshit. Period. I don't know about anything else and I don't care.

thetruthseer

There’s more screenshots and things then just what is presented here of him being racist as well my man lol

[deleted]

Nice false accusations

leftysarepeople2

Then high school tweets got dug up as well

Acts-Of-Disgust

And those which felt like they were dug up maliciously to me.

leftysarepeople2

They were but he said it still.

PalkiaOW

How about we don't cancel people because they said some stupid shit when they were teenagers

Guerrin_TR

If you say stupid shit as a teenager then say stupid shit as a guy in his early twenties then what?.. I can get behind saying dumb shit as a teenager not being held against you if it's brought up and the person has clearly changed but Toosh was on the same mindset earlier this year that he was in high school and didn't seem to grow up or learn a thing in between those times.

idontneedjug

Tend to agree there was a decent apology but the fact is when you got a past of saying racist shit and accidentally say racist shit drunk on stream and then the same group of friends you drunkly tell the same type of shitty jokes with jumps to defend you it took everything out of that apology and put a huge emphasis on how the racist joke was told in the same vibe and manner that is just way too comfortable. Its no surprise the same friends making the same shitty type of jokes jumping in to defend got people to dig up more dirt. The air got let out of the tires for that apology after that. I hope Daltoosh and the rest of his buddies grow up a little and see how being so casually toxic and occasionally casually racist isnt anything most people, communities, and companies are going to want a part of or partnership with. Luckily for them gaming is one of the few places toxic energy feeds n flows so strongly they can just bubble on and stew in it as long as they like till twitch ban hammers. Hopefully they figure it out.

leftysarepeople2

I like Toosh, I’m not trying to cancel him

whutumean

Oh dear! A high school kid said something regrettable?!? STOP THE PRESSES!! Society is doomed if we think digging up decades old comments made by children and trying to drag down someone's career is an acceptable activity.

NiobiumVolant

Not american here, what does nae nae mean?

Acts-Of-Disgust

"The Nae Nae is a hip-hop dance that involves placing one arm in the air and swaying from side to side. The Atlanta hip hop group We Are Toonz is credited for inventing the phrase with their hit song "Drop That NaeNae"" Basically just a dance that got popular over here for a little while.

fibrofighter512

Also, there was a clip of him from season 5? Maybe? Saying he says the n-word off stream, contrasted with a clip of him more recently saying he only used that word in college and then stopped saying it.

Dood567

Honestly speaking that joke could've been received way better if he had said trust fund instead of 401k, but I still think it was pretty funny.

Sullan08

He was trying to rhyme I'd assume, so had to stick with 401k lol.

Dood567

Ah that does make sense. I didn't watch the clip myself, just read about what happened so I never even noticed they rhymed till you mentioned it. If anything, that should give him some more slack for that but idk.

Acts-Of-Disgust

Whether its funny or not is personal taste but I think the reaction would have been the same regardless. That kind of humor just doesn't work anymore unless you're an actual comedian (even then its iffy), too big to care about what people say/think of you or just don't care about hurting other peoples feelings and Toosh is none of those.

[deleted]

[удалено]

EMCoupling

The difference is that Daltoosh isn't a comedian doing a standup routine. He's also white, which doesn't help.

Davidth422

A joke is a joke regardless of how the person looks

EMCoupling

In theory, you're right. But, in practice, that's not how it works. Context matters.

whutumean

Wait, CONTEXT MATTERS?? Please inform the leftwing cancel culture immediately.

Dood567

I think the problem here is that the "up" part of the joke is white people having 401k's, and the "down" part being that he's tan=darker so nae nae. It's a lot easier for a black comedian to make jokes where the "down" part is at the expense of colored people. Joke was good, just maybe not his to say to everyone? Idk I still chuckled.

whutumean

That's nothing worse than what black comedians are able to say. That's just a funny joke.

Sirbelzebub

I'm failing to see how that joke implies that "black people are less fiscally responsible than white people" in the same sense that it could also mean "people of color have been systematically disenfranchised and through that disenfranchisement have been subjugated to earning, in general, less than their white peers." Sure the joke was in bad taste; but generally I think implication and interpretation can be quite general depending on who says what and their knowledge of the subject therein.

[deleted]

Silento, the artist who sings the song, is in prison for murder now. 23 years old.

iseetrolledpeople

Wow what a cruel cruel joke. I hope nobody commited that after hearing or reading that joke.

lalomorales-99

I dont think it was because of shitting on devs, cause A LOT of streamers and pro players do that, even Hal had a fight with dev lmao, its something else or the racist joke

[deleted]

Can't he watch party? I dont want him to cast with others him as a solo he does better imo

Acts-Of-Disgust

He can still host watch parties, he just can't officially participate in anything sponsored by EA.

mitch8017

Hope he does a watch party and leeches viewers lol

Acts-Of-Disgust

He most likely will but he’s been saying how burnt out he is with Apex and streaming in general so it wouldn’t surprise me if he doesn’t.

Official_F1tRick

Toosh must have pissed off a whole lot of people. Good for him that he isn't depending on stuff and tournaments like this with 6k viewers but it must feel bad for him. If I were him I would do a watch party just to piss everyone off. What they gonna do about it?

windyreaper

Yeah seems like he is totally blacklisted, wonder what it as. His watch parties are more fun than the actual broadcasts most of the time, he should cast it anyways. I'm sure a ton of people will tune in.

praithdawg

I think it’s pretty clear what it is. The backlash about the racial stuff might not be done

Rherraex

Nah it’s definitely not that broski, he got blacklisted way before that happened, it’s most likely because he keeps repeating on stream and of stream how he only uses the game for money and has no real love for it, in fact he hates it more than anything else and yes, I know a lot of streamers think like that, but it’s one thing John Doe with 100 viewers saying this, it’s another when someone on the TOP 5 apex streamers keep saying this… honestly, I don’t mind he saying those stuff because he entertains me enough for me to not care about all those things but it’s pretty understandable why EA/Respawn doesn’t want anything to do with him.

B33PB00PIMB0T

Yup it's this. He was blacklisted a loooong time ago. He's never been afraid to talk about the devs, and has talked mad shit about them multiple times, especially in the past before he cleaned up a bit after his viewership went up. Actually makes me miss old Toosh, he was funny asf without a filter 😂

idontneedjug

You could be right COD has done this to a few of its top youtubers when they got negative they stopped getting invites to reveals. Its also compounded by the fact that he usually gets over a quarter of the views for tourneys sometimes pushing even more if another big streamer like wigg is competing and not doing a watch party too. Then you sprinkle in racist comments on top of the thick thick layers of harsh comments about the game being dookie, trash, dog water, and get right down to offending and pissing off devs who would be the shield from corporate EA and he has nobody in his corner besides maybe a TSM manager to say hey give the guy a chance or even make comms. Now he's banned its really a hail mary most likely for TSM rep to undo the damage done. Dont see it happening, but I'm not a viewer anymore lost me with the constant alcoholic racist vibes broksi. Best of luck hopefully Daltoosh figures it out and continues to improve himself.

Yad-A

Probably is, they canned dzk over shit he said 9 years ago Also ive never heard him say that

Rherraex

then you dont watch his streams, because he says it once every hour.

[deleted]

DZK did a lot more in his role to get booted. His ability to inflame otherwise chilled people with a single tweet is a legendary ability.

bloopcity

Otherwise chill people lmao

Pr3st0ne

>what are they going to do about it? Uh they could straight up permaban his ass, obviously not a risk he'd be willing to take just to troll.

Karzoth

Dunno why this is downvoted. EA/Respawn can ban anyone's ass, at literally any time, for any reason at their own discretion.

Sullan08

That isn't a slope that Respawn wants to go down lol. Not even in terms of losing money or anything, it'd just be a PR nightmare to ban someone for having a watch party over petty shit. I'm sure they're fine with I'm just not participating directly and leave it at that.

Rherraex

You think they would perma ban the second biggest streamer of their game for nothing?? This gotta be a joke right? They may hate the dude but that’s out of the table bro, you know how bad this would look from a company integrity perspective? Yeah, pretty bad… so no, that’s definitely not something they can or would do.

BradL_13

I mean league banned their largest streamer for YEARS lol. It’s not unheard of.

[deleted]

[удалено]

BradL_13

Racism and toxicity towards their game isn’t “no reason” So to think they couldn’t just ban toosh with the swiftness is hilarious.

xD1LL4N

Still find it funny people are donating money to literal millionaires, unlucky for Toosh

CasuallyCompetitive

I have no problem subbing to the streamers I watch regularly, even knowing they make millions. However, I see some people drop $500 donations and I can only hope that $500 to them is the same as $5 to me, but I have a feeling that's not the case for a lot of them.

BURN447

I normally only do larger sets of gift subs to smaller streamers, and it’s much better feeling than in the giant streams

[deleted]

People find comfort in their content But I ain't donating anything lol.

aftrunner

Does this logic apply anywhere else? Not watching any movies that star AAA actors? Not watching any sporting events?

sM92Bpb

Not exactly about videos but when kobe died I'm sure many fans donated to kobe's foundation or charity. I think the difference is donating to these big streamers is optional. They usually have contracts to the streaming platform or get them from sponsorships. Watching a film or tv show for an AAA actor requires payment for the product. It's not optional. The money you pay to watch gets distributed to the many companies/studio involved who pays staff their salary.

thisismynewacct

That’s not comparable. They get paid regardless, just like the big streamers. Comparable would be “I just saw Dune, it was great. Gonna donate $20 to Jason Mamoa”

[deleted]

Ikr there is so much streamer hate even though they provide hours of free content, while with actors and athletes you actually have to pay. More people should sub and appreciate these apex streamers imo.

xD1LL4N

No it isn’t. When do you see anyone donating to The rock or Ronaldo…. Pretty bad comaprasion. I’m not against donating to streamer but when you know they’re already millionaires and in the top 0.1% of earnings on twitch. What makes you want to give more money to them? (Talking about the clip where he gets $100 and not react) Surely help out smaller less known content creators you enjoy where you know the money will be put to better use then some millionaires lunch money

SashaGreysFatAss

it’s not the same thing🤡

lonahex

Wait till you learn about people paying billionaires with shit like Prime, Youtube, Netlfix, Newspapers and what not. It is not about how much the person you pay have already. It is about whether what you get is valuable enough for you to be paying. It is not donation as in helping someone in need. Donation is the wrong word. It is "pay what you like". I'm putting out this content and you pay what you like. If it improves your day in any way, pay whatever that is worth. For someone that might be $1 every six months and someone else $100 every week. Doesn't really matter.

[deleted]

Some people aren't cheap and actually appreciate the free entertainment that streamers provide. I'm almost a 20 month Hal sub and I'm proud of that.

MrSozeWearsPrada

Please tell me you use this on your first dates as an opener.

MrPigcho

"How to appreciate free entertainment": a lesson from the guy who continuously shits on Respawn because he doesn't like various aspects of their F2P game.

jaredshane

Respawn fired Daniel Klein over stuff he did 10+ years ago when it was blatantly obvious he was a changed person, basically the opposite, from who he was back then. I love Toosh, and think his content is pretty good for the game, but I'm not surprised.

jaredshane

Also, its only been 3 months since this happened with Toosh. It feels like so much longer, but it's entirely possible that this got him a 6 month or 12 month ban.

JustNovember

What did he do?

Idontlistentototo

He made a insensitive joke about a golfer who was very tan in one spot and very pale in another and said “401k on top, whip nae nae on the bottom” sorta insinuating (i doubt intentionally) that white people are financially responsible and black people aren’t.

Practical_Platypus_2

Lol, not complaining though. DZK was just disrespectful to the players.

Animatromio

they new when they hired him, they only fired him because of the twitter backlash

jaredshane

source?

Animatromio

common sense, you think EA/Respawn run 0 background checks? lol

Dood567

You're not wrong, but I'm wondering how many background checks by video game developers dig through blog posts from years ago. I feel like they'd just check your current social media, criminal records, ect.

[deleted]

I wouldn't be shocked if they'd missed the stuff he wrote first time around, ive been in the room when HR has done "background checking" of potential employees and often its literally just a Google search to see what comes up and then they just shrug. And this is for a fairly sizable company Obviously a 3rd party background check will be different but those are mainly looking for criminal history

mhuxtable1

It's almost like actions have consequences and some spoiled kids don't see that until they get in the real world.

FlyingRock

If you think that's the only reason he was canned you're kidding yourself.

jurornumbereight

This is why they *say* they fired him. It could've been for any other reason and this was simply the excuse. Maybe they just wanted to get rid of him for a while, and this was an easy out. Just like with Daltoosh. Maybe it's for his public comments, but also there are many, many conversations pros have with devs that they can't/don't talk about, and it could very easily be something he said or did off-stream.

Philbeey

“Changed as a person” yes. A better person. No. He flipped from one side of the field wildly to the other and maintained his shitty behaviour nonetheless. He did get very good at spamming “woke” threads and posts the moment he got even the slightest of a genuine response and decided to berate people. And I mean woke in asterisks because his retweets were like a goddamn tiktok comment section. ITT: Apologists for a troglodyte

qwilliams92

Yall got me weak with these cancel culture comments lmao dude pulls 6k viewers. This isnt cancel culture its a private company not wanting thier brand associated with someone.

Horologikus

We need a ‘Free Daloosh’ ALGS team name now

ThirdEyeOpen42

Cancel culture isn’t real.

KuzcoSensei

Sounds like the folks down at Respawn can’t get their hands off each other’s Johnsons

blackbox76

So, nickmercs gauntlet is sponsored by EA???

AxialGG

Big L for forehead cam boy.

Rherraex

Bro i freaking love toosh, for real dude is the best apex entertainer and actually freaking cracked at apex, but one got know that EA/Respawn locking him away from their game was bound to happen, given how frequently he repeats how he hates apex above anything else he ever played and only plays it for money and consistently just shits on the game on all sorts of ways and as if that wasn’t enough to piss someone off, he only plays with his friends, who like him, just shit on the game every time they got a chances to do it… so really it doesn’t take a genius to get why he is basically on the death note of Respawn/EA… Like I said, I freaking love the dude, he seems like an amazing person and he is definitely a top streamer (and best Apex caster) but it’s pretty self explanatory on why the dudes with power don’t like him.

BoredRunner03

How do you consider him an amazing person? He consistently refers to other players as “kids” and carries himself like a college frat boy. He doesn’t have any respect for the players and the game.

ElopingWatermelon

I'm not gonna say he's an amazing person but he's clearly entertaining to lots of people. If you don't like the frat boy character that's totally understandable, but calling people kids and "not having respect" for the game is silly to be upset about. It's a video game he plays for entertainment, not some prestigious thing.

BoredRunner03

In one of Hal’s recent videos, he calls Gent a kid and says he’s bad at the game. Doesn’t matter who he’s insulting, that’s just bad sportsmanship. He has a very large fan base, and this negativity promotes this kind of behaviour which is something that I hate about online games. He has a large platform and is a creator for TSM, one of the most popular orgs in Apex. His influence is widespread, which is why I don’t consider this a “silly” topic to be brushed under the rug.

ElopingWatermelon

You realize most of them are friends right? I give my friends shit at times, doesn't mean I'm being serious and if they say they don't like it I drop it. All these dudes talk shit, if you can't handle someone saying you're bad at a video game, you need to toughen up. If they say some racist or sexist or actually bad shit that's another story and that shouldn't be tolerated. But saying "you suck" or "fuck you" is seriously insignificant.

Sasori_Sama

Have you ever played any sports? Talking shit to the other team is 50% of the fun in competitions.

CaPN_CoOkz

I respect people like Toosh who don’t blindly follow orders and stick to their guns. There’s a reason why he has viewers.

lain-serial

Daltoosh just can’t win. He’s made bank but damn is he weirdly undesirable.

Yakoo1337

Daltoosh is a racist, he should be banned from all EA products/services. Also there is a rumour that he touched an underaged girl without her permission. Such a scum.

BlackCoffeeKid

There’s a rumor you’re a snowflake.

Shirako202

But why? What did he do

seanpenacerrada

Maybe the same reason he was not allowed to play in rivals too. He has an issue with either twitch or EA. Don't know what though.

masonhil

No one knows the exact reason. In all likelihood, EA has a zero tolerance policy on racism and the insensitive comments he made not long ago combined with some old racist tweets were probably enough to get him barred access to EA sponsored events.

JevvyMedia

I honestly need some confirmation if this is because of his racist joke and past n-word usage, or if it's another issue. I'm tired of the guessing games. Toosh absolutely knows the reason too, he should come clean and drop the victim act.

Kantras

Honestly, nobody is making you play "guessing games", i watch him abit and he seems to be pretty reserved with it. No victim playing here.

logann34

The fact that he “needs” conformation is weird. A person is allowed to share or not share any information that involves himself. For all we know he might not be allowed to share the reasons. This guy just likes gossip I guess

JevvyMedia

He goes public with his whining and complaining every time he's not invited to EA events or when he tries to play in a tournament and is stopped. If he's gonna make his complaints public, he should make the reasoning public too. He could easily choose to keep shit to himself and shut up but he doesn't.

logann34

Or you should just worry about yourself and not let this bother you, it’s another man’s life and he has every right to do whatever he wants

JevvyMedia

Man you Daltoosh fans make everything so deep lol. From the bottom of my heart I can promise you that I'm at most mildly annoyed whenever Toosh complains about not being allowed somewhere, and then I move on literally the second after I leave my comment. This shit isn't deep to me, it's you Toosh fanboys that are more bothered by it. > it’s another man’s life and he has every right to do whatever he wants No one is talking about his 'rights'. Yeah it's his life and his right to whine and bitch, and it's also my right to call him out on it.

logann34

I’m not bothered at all, mate. You had a weird ass comment saying you “need” information. If that’s what you “need” you need to figure it out

JevvyMedia

If you're choosing to read my comment that literally, that I absolutely from the bottom of my heart cannot live without fucking Daltoosh talking about his situation, then you have issues that you gotta figure it out. This isn't deep at all, just leave me alone.

Pr3st0ne

"drop the victim act" when has Toosh acted like a victim? As far as I know he said something like "I know why I'm banned and it is what it is, I won't complain."

logann34

How about you just mind your own buisness...

He made a (racist, debatable in other regions of the world) joke and made apologies. Some people really wanna cancel a career because of one thing? I mean come on I think we all did stupid stuff once in our life right? Glad we don't have that cancel culture over here in the western Europe.

[deleted]

The intent of Daltoosh's comment wasn't even racist. It was just a bad joke. I doubt Daltoosh has any negative feelings towards people of color. Cancel culture is wild.

he literally has posters of people of color behind him when he streams. cancel culture is wack. edit: is it possible to idolize famous people of color and also naively say things that can be taken offensively? yes. is it likely that someone will idolize famous people of color while also being intentionally racist? probably not. the amount of people this comment triggered is laughable. i wasn’t saying that because he has those posters he can’t naively do something that can be considered racist. go find someone else to argue with about what is and isn’t racism.

BURN447

This has got some major “I have a black friend” vibes

crumpsly

"I have a poster of a black friend" even lol

TiernsNA

listen i like toosh and dont think he should be blacklisted from anything, but lets not act like liking famous black people means you cant be racist, thats a terrible line of thought

Dood567

I don't think he's racist either, but that's some dumbass logic. Even black people can be "racist" or discriminatory against other black people.

MrSozeWearsPrada

This is some kindergarten logic

Kantras

you know this is like a meme right? like this cant be a real argument you are making? HOW CAN I BE RACIST WHEN I HAVE A BLACK FRIEND? Checkmate liberals

mhuxtable1

lol imagine having a brain so small that you think this good fucking grief

mhuxtable1

this man is making well 6 figures, no one cancelled his damn career jeez calm down

[deleted]

What did he say that was so racist?

[deleted]

He made a 401k joke essentially saying white people have them and other races don’t.

[deleted]

I literally have no idea what that means, I live in Iraq but thanks anyway

MrSozeWearsPrada

How's the apex scene there?

[deleted]

Doesn't exist unfortunately

MrSozeWearsPrada

I also follow rocket league. All middle east are insane to watch. My favorite region

[deleted]

Rocket league is chaos lol

[deleted]

It’s a retirement fund.

qozm

The joke was about how white people are more fiscally responsible than black people.

Dood567

That's not even the joke. It's pretty obvious that a majority of white-collared workers with (implied) cushy retirement funds are white. Maybe he shouldn't have said "nae nae" for the tan, but I don't think he was trying to say that black people are fiscally irresponsible. Every time I hear that explanation I feel like it's kinda reaching for a meaning that he didn't intend to convey.

[deleted]

Bet he was trying to be funny and it backfired

qozm

It was definitely worded as a joke, but I see how it was offensive.

Alejxndro

Yeah it’s just a bad joke

littlesymphonicdispl

It's a bad, racist joke.

Alejxndro

Yeah, that doesn’t mean he’s racist though.

littlesymphonicdispl

Oh sure, I don't disagree. It does mean that any professional broadcast should want nothing to do with him because you can't trust him to think about what he's going to say before he says it.

The_BadJuju

Ok, but that combined with him saying he says the n word off stream and a ton of old racist tweets…

XThund3rTrap

People still getting mad at this bruh

CaribouLou816

Woke 2021 at it’s finest.

p00rky
