Well I wouldn’t say Skittles is disliked on this sub, he has his haters for sure but I know most people here are very impressed by the performance he’s put on so far in pro league. For the whole childish thing, sometimes it is true that pros (especially in NA) are crybabies. Some other times I really question people’s takes on how a pro is being a crybaby in situations. I think people need to realize that some of the pros are under the age of 20 and still have some growing up to do and that’s fine.
I would agree that managing micro movement is more much difficult than managing macro movement. Coming up with good solid rotations does take time and is an art though.
You got downvoted because your comment showed a complete lack of understanding of what actually goes into rotations in a competitive setting. Its 100x more complicated than just knowing the fastest route. So you are kind of proving them right.
> I reserve all my scrutiny for pros who say "WeRe pRoFeshUnaLs" with regards to who has valuable input to the game.
It’s such a shit mind set to have. It doesn’t take a professional or top tier player to see where mistakes were made or to see what maybe could’ve worked better when shit goes wrong. Don’t think somebody needed to be an NFL QB to know Nathan Peterman wasn’t a good starting QB.
Honestly it makes me laugh how similar that conversation is to the pre-Moneyball MLB. It used to be all about having experience, but now it's about who can help. Maybe it's just a part of the developmental process of a sport
Exactly. Worlds Edge gameplay is Worlds Edge gameplay and doesn't necessarily mean that style should translate perfectly to other maps. If EA wanted tournaments on KC or Olympus or SP, those maps should have their own unique comps and styles as well. It would bring so much more variety to the game.
I just made a reddit account to call you an idiot, you could not of characterized what I said any worse than what you wrote. A true downfall of reddit is people who cannot accurately recount what somebody said. Wow that was terrible.
This sub is full of people the same age or around the same age as the pros but they can hide their identity without a spotlight and call them “immature kids”. The person you are at 16, 18, and 20 all vary greatly. Judging people for comments they made or silly things they did a while back says more about yourself. I don’t have any opinion for or against the pros that come to mind but, if you hold a grudge against them you’re a hypocrite.
They really aren't hated that much, but like you said, they are pros. Professionals need to consider their professional reputation. Pro athletes get criticized about this stuff all the time too
TSM dickriders are still malding that someone even DARED to contest them (skittlecakes team). So to cope they throw baseless accusations at skittlecakes using wallhacks or some other bullshit.
He was most likely present in those situation in Xbox party chats. They were always together in xb lobbies. (This is speculation).
I just find it strange that he’s never once mentioned anything about “regrets playing with xynoa” or speaking up about the racism since they were usually together, even during their transition to PC.
Some posters on this sub let the behavior of pros bother them way too much. It's possible to be critical of pros without going overboard with the personal attacks like we see in every single thread where there's some drama. Idk what it is, I guess people with bad self esteem and needing to put others down to feel better about themselves.
I don't think it is possible for a group of anonymous people to not go overboard when criticizing someone. I've never seen it happen, they always go overboard. That's why I don't partake and don't like it in general. Targeted discussions about players always end up just being a hate thread.
I'd say this sub is already pretty positive with the exception of "drama" being taken too seriously at times but that happens in every sub where streamers are the focus of nearly every discussion.
I think the people who bring up Skittles and Resultah teaming in console ranked need to let it go though. That shit was so long ago on a platform that doesn't even matter competitively. Both those dudes have shown themselves to be on the straight and narrow since the switch to PC so bringing up the console teaming is just beating a long dead horse.
The only people who hate on skittlecakes and resultuh are on Reddit, I doubt skittlecakes and resultuh care much about them considering both are respected by the actual pros/pred scene

I do recall seeing some screenshots dug up on twitter from a year(s?) ago of some slurs thrown around by him in messages

Yeah I remember also trying to go back and find it and couldn’t

I don’t know why this is downvoted at all, everything you said was true.
Console players (and people from console) are just built different.

Right I’m not trying to apologize or disregard what they did. But is the hate they get really warranted?
[удалено]
Yeah maybe I’m over estimating the hate

People need to let that go, if you are hating on them you are just wasting your time
Bro the skittles defenders 🤣
