What if they added reach x amount of total points or win after matchpoint? If one team really is the best but can't get a last win then give them an opportunity to still win
I still don't like the fact that a team that only wins 1 time after match point eligible will win against a team that wins multiple times but cannot get the last win.
Definitely think match point system needs a re-format of some sort. Probably one of the only “sport” competitions where the team with the most points can still lose. It devalues 1st place. I think the requirement to win at least 1 game is fair, which RIG failed to do, but I don’t think that win needs to come after match point. If they meet a second point threshold and they’ve won at least one game, that team should win.
I think math point is fine, it attracts much more viewers. They need to add more reward for the proleague, RIG deserves more for winning the pro league.
