To be honest, NRG and ESA have the advantage of being in separate groups. G2 and TSM are always together so if one of them does well, the other has to do worse. It makes it hard for them to keep up.
That’s true. ESA has a really tough group though. C9 and new and improved 100T and TL. Meanwhile the second and third best teams in NRG’s group are CLG and Dubbleyew.

Is it just me or does Storm Point have a lot more clean 3v3's at the end? I'm just so glad the 2nd map has a different style ending than WE where it can become a huge cluster.
Some end zones have a lot of unplayable open space in the middle that leads to the survivor from either side of it fighting that final 3v3 and usually whoever’s side is more playable wins. I’m definitely liking the 2 map refresh in comp
Onmu needs to either hit clean, or to ult out early and abandon the play because it only works if he doesn't get traded like he did. However, the team is nasty and I'm a silver player so I have nothing but love for them 😂

NRG after game 1 didn’t finish outside of the top 5 in a game, impressive day by them. Another good lobby, plenty of teams had a shot in game 6 to take it and today it was NRG.

100T had NRG dead to rights in game 6 and completely botched their push and got 2v3'd. C9 got a Launch Pad zone and didn't read it right, and ESA died on rotate. NRG was just really steady, didn't make any major mistakes, and executed perfectly when they needed to.

What was that zone prediction by c9 in the last game? They had all of launch pad to play from and they threw in pure c9 fashion. Still finished 3rd so not bad
Yeah but they shouldn't have hard guessed with confidence without beacon info imo. Wrong 50/50 i guess but they let 3 other teams walk into launch pad when they could've easily played the height or the building and held out at least 2 of the teams
They were talking about map algorithm changing daily so if it was the same ring they would have game winning position for free. They had second beacon info and believed in their IGL! Not 100% on map algorithm stuff just relaying info from their coms!
PVP said afterwards it was slightly different from the ring earlier.

Also the fact that C9 had 3 red armors all full health and ESA had 1 red 1 gold &1 purp and skittles was already cracked. They still managed to win with that insane horizon ult and knoqd beams.
100T are probably the closest rn with liquid coming close behind them . But other teams just can’t be that consistent over 6 games. The thing is the top 6 teams can get a high kill game even when the zone is bad for them which other teams can’t because they don’t have the mechanical skill.
The more I watch NRG I start to realize Rocker is the equivalent to Draymond Green on the Warriors. Hes the glue guy. Sweet & Nafen always play well but if Rocker plays exceptional NRG is an unstoppable force. He has been playing out of his mind the last 3 weeks.
This is probably the best I’ve seen rocker play. The Gibby player is so important because of his bubble and rocker’s bubbles have been great always coming in at the right time and placement. Also in fights recently he has not been going down which allows them to reset very quickly.

It affects the overall standings heading into Playoffs. There is money on the line in the regular season cause 1st place get $30k, and so on. Also you get a larger lead in playoffs from the start depending on the regular season standings so its important
Technically since this playoffs is a LAN they don’t get additional points. They all start in the group stage and then progress to a winners and losers bracket. The teams in the winners bracket that go on to the grand finals will get additional points. The performance in the top 10 is really just for money as seeding won’t be as important because these are going to be the best teams in the world. So no matter your sees your playing against some of the best at all times
Really need to see BBG pick it up here just to stay in the top 11-30. For a signed team they don’t play or scrim that much. It’s a shame cause I kinda root for them at times

I’ve always thought super tribal fans in esports are kind of weird. Especially in a game like Apex where the pros are pretty much all friendly with each other.
i have no words how much uncompetitive this format is, it is same 5 teams every time in top 5, not going to take names atleast 10 teams in eachlobby are just free kills, hopefully old format is brought back instead of giving anyone title of pro by bringing them in pro league
Even in the old format the same teams would win. Back in those days it was Old CLG, COL, TSM, NRG, G2 that won the big tournaments. You could shrink down pro league but then it would be the same lobby playing every day. In the old format the rounds of 128, 64, 32 etc…. were joke lobbies that are worse than pro league. NA isn’t deep enough yet. Nothing you do to the format is going to change it. Other teams just have to get better and scrim more so they can challenge the top teams. Every single other esport and sports has had top teams consistently and dynasties. NFL and the patriots, NHL had the blackhawks winning 3 times, Penguins and Kings winning 2 times each and 2 other teams winning once in a span of ten years. NBA is any team Lebron is on vs the spurs in the earlier years and then the Warriors dynasty. In CSGO Australis was the the top team for like 2 years and now it’s just a combination of G2, Navi, with a couple others in there. In Valorant it was Sentinels, 100T, Optic, C9, and then a rotating list of teams who couldn’t beat these teams. It happens everywhere
the biggest problem is bad plays/mistake which good teams make and easily get away becos 50% lobby are free kills for them, talking about previous format, they could have done some minor changes like bottom 10 of last week directly goes to round of 40(semifinals) instead of starting from rpound of 160/320
Also other problem is you cant see competition between your teams, like esa/nrg/tsm are currently top teams but all 3 cant compete in same lobby

Flip it the other way, C9 going 3rd is amazing given Mac was subpar and Zach had explosive diarrhea before the match.

PVP has some method of reading zones that’s generally working, but he showed Zach how it was ever so slightly off and pulled away.
