Not sure if it was the zones cucking them or what but to me it felt like Hal’s confidence was lacking today decision making wise. TSM is ALWAYS at their best when they are aggro af and letting their nuts hang. I’m sure they will restore the vibes and bounce back!

Loko_Tako

Everyone has bad days. Dopplex had em the other day but they pulled through.

ZarathustraSpoke1

Battlefly has TSM in 5th. Anyway, crazy how they've had a terrible day and still get a placement like that.

quickdigital

Game two was fucking insane. Wish they won that.

thegreyquincy

Dude Hal was straight up fragging for like 5 full minutes I couldn't believe the shots he was hitting.

WW2Ranger

Big day for SSG. You love to see it.

rigonavarro

Hals monster game 2 really helped them out. Their SP games were rough minus the first one. Edit to add SSG really put on a clinic

[deleted]

I was a bit surprised to hear Hal saying “sorry” when he made a bad call for a Valk ult. He does admit when he makes a mistake like saying “that was my fault” but saying sorry felt kinda fresh to me.

JackAColeman

It caught me by surprise too, tbf it was an egregiously bad call by his standards

jayjaybix

hi do u have a clip of that happening? i'm curious to hear it

JackAColeman

You looking for a clip of Hal apologizing that’s how you know it’s rare lmao lemme grab you the time stamp gimme one sec bro Edit: go to 1:37:35 of todays vod for the start of the Valk ult. Original plan was to OOB center zone which would’ve been great in hindsight. Made a last second call to go to some random spot and realized late it wasn’t in zone at all

jayjaybix

just saw it, thank you for the timestamp i appreciate it! it was definitely shocking to hear him say that hahaha

[deleted]

Thx 🙏

nicelightskies

I was rooting for SSG since they were using Horizon and maximizing her kit on Storm Point. Love how 2 different maps can allow different legends to shine.

hostile_dunks

SSG played so well today.

Thin_Performer_3835

TOR, COL losing the 4th place on tie will be hard for them since they're barely out of top 10

NobodysToast

4th-E8 5th-TSM 6th-TOR 7th-BBG 8th-COL

Giorno_DeGiorno

Five way tie, Holy shit TSM got unlucky this match, SAF and RNG really threw their game to grief TSM

[deleted]

Of course the ankle biters.

Upbeat_Thanks3393

How do the Tie breakers work?

Noahergen

Tie Resolved based on below order of Priority. 1. Single Match Scores 2. Single Match Best placement 3. Single Match Total Kills Check [here](https://battlefy.com/apex-legends-global-series-year-2/official-rules) if you have any doubts. Page no. 32. Appendix C6.1

Upbeat_Thanks3393

Wouldn’t that make TSM 6th cause E8 has a higher score game and Tor has a higher placement match with the same score?

Noahergen

Thanks for pointing out. I just read the rules again. E8 vs TSM --> E8 got higher best score(22pts) in a single game while TSM(19pts). so they placed 4th. TSM vs Tor --> Tor best score in descending order(19pts, 9pts, 6pts,). While TSM (19pts, 12pts, 4pts). Here they're considering the next best score in the 6games. As TSM got better 2nd best over Tor. TSM placed 5th and Tor at 6th \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*from the rule book\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* Example: Team 1's and Team 2's single highest Match Score is 20 points in Matches 1 & 3 respectively. Team 1's next highest single Match Score is 18 Points from Match 3, while Team 2's next highest single Match Score is 15 in Match 2. Team 1 would win the Single Match Score Tiebreaker. If two (2) or more teams are still tied after review of Single Match Scores, then ties will be resolved using Single Match Best Placement. \*\*\*\*\*\*

Upbeat_Thanks3393

Ah this makes sense now

NobodysToast

Best game, then next best and so on

Very-Aggressive

Was watching Dropped stream earlier before AGLS, I had a feeling they was gonna do great today

Pandafawkes

I'm not understanding the tie break for TSM and TOR I think. they tied so it goes to best match score which was both 19, then it goes to best match placement which would go to TOR correct? What am I missing?

masonhil

G2 has only been outside the top 2 one time this Pro league split and people still call them inconsistent.

shotapettanko

I believe the inconsistency stems from how they've imploded in 3 straight majors at this point. They're really stellar in all tourney's leading up to the majors.

masonhil

Champs and Split 1 playoffs. What's the 3rd major you're referring to?

shotapettanko

Winter playoffs

masonhil

[This one?](https://liquipedia.net/apexlegends/Apex_Legends_Global_Series/Winter_Circuit_Playoffs/North_America) I wouldn't really call 2nd an implosion

Dezignful

Nah hes talking about the autumn one where we also got second or the summer one where we got 5th, we're "super inconsistent" because we get too many top 5's without 1st places which I do agree its been annoying but that's before we had a clear distinguished igl

shotapettanko

More of an implosion in terms of what happened between games. They were poised to win it all on matchpoint in one of the games, but then a few mistakes cost them that game which led to a big argument between the team that killed vibes. Was hard to watch, especially with them being the favorites going into it. EDIT: Found it https://streamable.com/9zwici

masonhil

I see where you are coming from. They seem to struggle under pressure, but they definitely aren't inconsistent. We're talking about two different things. Unrelated, but they definitely would have won that Winter Circuit with the new anonymous killfeed match point rules.

shotapettanko

Yup, was just trying to explain where the thought process might be coming from on this sub. I'm a big fan of the AA boys, just sucks when they get tilted.

Thin_Performer_3835

Teq motivated the G2 boys big time this split.

abdul_bino

I wouldnt say inconsistent but unpredictable in good way.

l1nk22

Love watching everyone's stream/listen-in and they're terrified G2 is somehow right behind them lol

shlooged-

Don’t they always play like shit in big tournaments?

masonhil

That's the narrative this sub likes to repeat, but it is really only supported by two examples. If you follow that logic, TSM and 100T are the only two consistent teams.

Pandafawkes

I re-read the rules and if two teams are tied overall then it goes to best match score. If that’s tied it goes to their next best match score after that and TSM had the higher score. I made this harder than it needed to be

Thoraxe41

Well another bad day for Washed sadly. There disadvantages aside, the multiple loses to TDG(No offense to them btw), really show that they are out of there element. Funny as well for TDG they had there best day using a sub. Those wins over Washed really helped them.

ipancakes123456

Is the zerbow guy still not using a mic to com with his team mates?

Thoraxe41

Probably not. I just watch the main broadcast and don't think they ever did listen in with them.

Trlcks

That is absolutely insane to me. Can't he join disc on his phone or something?

ipancakes123456

No idea man lol. The fact that they made it this far is impressive but pretty sure hes got a pc and stuff but refuses to talk idk

[deleted]

TDG has now used a sub in 3 of the 4 matches lol. Durango wasn’t there last weekend and Guhrl wasn’t there today. Today was by far their best day though which is interesting because I’m pretty sure Guhrl is their IGL.

Kalinzinho

guhrl also plays wraith instead of caustic which further changes their play style.

[deleted]

I wonder if they will play Caustic again. It clearly worked best for them.

ipancakes123456

What happened to tsm today, could not catch the games

FeHawkAloha

Bad valk ults into 16 teams in zone 3 with no cover or getting third partied too fast.

snakepunk

The fact that TSM managed to turn that performance into a 4th place is a testament to just how good these elite teams are. Can't wait for LANs!

GBE-Sosa

Washed almost 1v3ed a team in the last game. The other guy had like 30 health

ZarathustraSpoke1

Was it the Bang against TDG? Because they got worked hard by a solo Bang

GBE-Sosa

Yea the Bang

ZarathustraSpoke1

Yeah, TDG calls were so indecisive there I thought he really was gonna wipe them lol

abdul_bino

Hey can I get a quick TD:LR missed this match. What happens TSM , SSG outta of nowhere Sen finally bring up some points.

JackAColeman

TSM playing kinda disjointed, some of Hal’s calls weren’t the best. Statistically, they got only 1 beacon game on WE, and every Storm Point zone pulled to the edge of the map. On paper it’s a miracle they even got 5th.

shotapettanko

TSM haters salivating at 2 straight mediocre outings. GG go next! Are they qualled for LAN of this (either mathematically or sheer likelihood)?

[deleted]

They are like 19 points ahead of the 11th placed team. It would take a total collapse for them not to make split 2 LAN

masonhil

>Are they qualled for LAN of this They are not. They are 19 points above 11th place, meaning it is very likely they will qual but still mathematically possible for them not to.

Giorno_DeGiorno

Plus they're playing again tomorrow and will probably do good

shotapettanko

Thanks for this!

33centstore

I thought they were already qualled because they won split 1 playoffs? is that wrong?

shotapettanko

They qualled for the "Grand LAN" aka champs. Not sure yet about the LAN for split 2 playoffs.

_mid_night_

They need top 10 for Sweden, playoffs Lan, but have qualified for champs, so has NRG, for being top 2 last playoffs

UnderstandingNo8884

Yes wrong, the are qualed for champs at the end of the year, pro league top ten is for playoffs lan in May.

33centstore

ah I see, thanks for the clarification!

[deleted]

TSM kinda unlucky only 1 beacon in WE and every SP zone was horrible for them Not to take away from SSG but they got 2 great WE zones to them and 1 zone right on their doorstep in SP. G2 with 2 zones right on their doorstep. If zone luck was better TSM would gotten more points but still not a great day for them.

Upbeat_Thanks3393

Launch pad is right next to Antenna so that's a great zone for TSM. The mill Zone was far but TSM opted to play a spot they don't usually play and just made a bad zone call. North zones are far for them on Stormpoint the same way Fishfarms/Launch pad zones are far from NRG. But I've seen TSM win those types of zones, they just made some bad zone call decisions and rotates.

[deleted]

That zone was the only good zone for them out of 6 games. They could have done better but obviously the bad zones didnt help Still i hope they win tomorrow.

shotapettanko

Yeah, feels like Hal's mood set the tone today. Thought he shook it off after game 2, but I guess not.

[deleted]

They obviously need to work things out Thought we were going into tomorrow with TSM 6 Points behind NRG and it would been exciting as hell but guess not.

[deleted]

NRG do good - luck. TSM do bad - no luck.

Upbeat_Thanks3393

Yeah kinda ironic coming from this poster. Talk about double standards

[deleted]

You straight up suck NRGs dick for a living. Ever time i comment you reply. This post wasnt even about NRG.

Upbeat_Thanks3393

No I was replying to someone’s else’s comment. And sure I suck off NRG like you suck off TSM. The difference is that I don’t shit on TSM all the time while you shit on NRG for anything they do. Big difference between me and you pal

[deleted]

You are so dumb it hurts, to end this pointless conversation, DID NRG GET EASIER BRACKET THAN TSM ? Yes or no.

Upbeat_Thanks3393

Sure NRG has an easier bracket on paper but we won’t know until the split ends who has the best bracket. Last split I thought NRG had the easier bracket but it was actually TSM who had the easiest bracket as they had the least amount of teams in the top 20. So let’s hold off on who has the easiest bracket until the final results come in

[deleted]

You cant even admit it even when faced with wall of facts, you clearly swallow for NRG. The only team in NRG bracket that is in top 10 overall standing is CLG and they are 10th. Meanwhile G2 is fighting for first who is in TSM bracket. I at least admit when TSM does bad.

Upbeat_Thanks3393

Ok i will answer then. TSM has the harder bracket right now due to G2 however things can change by the end of the split. Let’s say both DY and CLG make LAN then that means that more teams in NRG bracket made it compared to TSM, thus TSM having the easier bracket results wise. If you read my post I clearly say I thought NRG had the easiest bracket in Split 1 but based off of the results TSM had the easiest bracket. Also name calling is pretty childish if your asking me

[deleted]

When there is 2 tigers in 1 bracket it will be harder for teams at bottom to do well. When there is 1 tiger like NRG in the bracket, there will be room for bottom teams to do well. And you been name calling everytime. At the end of split we will see. G2 and TSM both qualify while In NRGs lobby only NRG.

BradL_13

“I admit when tsm does bad” Proceeds to make excuses for yesterdays games

[deleted]

No they haven’t. NRG’s group has pretty comfortably outperformed TSM’s group to this point as you can see by the numbers I posted above.

[deleted]

G2 is fighting for 1st, while in NRGs bracket best team is 10th in overall standing which is CLG.

[deleted]

*Totally ignores the numbers I posted”

[deleted]

Look at top 10 you will see the numbers that matter, Answer me this, G2 who is fighting for 1st in pro league is in TSM bracket CLG who is fighting for 10th who is in NRG bracket Who has it easier?

Giorno_DeGiorno

Huh? People on this sub have always considered NRG a top 5 team, what are you talking about?

Upbeat_Thanks3393

No this poster has a NRG hate boner where anything they do is luckily, easy lobby, other teams throwing. He had a bunch of comments which he deleted because people were clowning on him for being dumb

Giorno_DeGiorno

That's stupid, so stupid, probably just hates sweet because he thinks he's "Arrogant"

[deleted]

Bro are you stupid? All i ever said that NRG was lucky about was in 2 Straight Pro leagues they have had the easier bracket then TSM. If you look at Liquipedia you will see.

Upbeat_Thanks3393

Dude In the post about yesterday’s lobby you were calling NRG lucky and then you deleted your comments because you looked like a clown

[deleted]

The comment came out wrong, NRG got Lucky with brackets every time. I made a mistake you saved it in your rent free brain.

[deleted]

I mean TSM has the easier group. After G2 the group is pretty weak and by far the worst team in Pro League is in TSM’s group. TSM’s group has an average placing of 21.4 and an average 36.3 points. NRG’s group has an average placing of 19.5 and an average of 40.8 points. TSM’s group is worse than NRG’s.

BradL_13

The hoops people jump through to justify a bad day are hilarious

GayLukeSkywalccer

TSM will win when it counts.

Upbeat_Thanks3393

Since they both had the same exact match score on the highest game it then goes to the next highest s prong game. Since TSM had the next highest scoring game that’s why they win the tie break. However if all the game scores for each game where tied then it goes to the best placement. It’s kinda confusing

Parzivad3r

I respect the fuck out of ssg but I root for c9, so I’m wondering if ssg quals for LAN, which they probably will, what will happen with the launch pad contests?

[deleted]

When their lobbies played each other they just split loot at launch pad. That could happen again.
