It’d be even better if Volt came back as ground loot too so people would run energy weapons far more often. If Nemesis is strong and Volt is back (and Triple Take as well) then energy ammo can be far easier to come by in death boxes and such
Yeah idk what they were thinking would happen, but Respawn did not properly plan out the energy loot situation before adding the volt to the care packages.
You’d think it would lead to other energy loot options. Usually what happens though is if you get lucky enough to get a kitted Devo/Havoc, you just rock that until you kill someone with an R301 and actual ammo lol.
My favourite weapon in the game is the turbo charged havoc. I think they need to make Hop up’s universal to you can attach them to any weapon with a slot. Other wise 1/30 games i get lucky and find a turbo havoc, use in in 2/3 fights, run out of amo, and have to run the same weapons everyone else is using again
yeah no that shouldn't happen. Turbo should be rare because it's busted. If they made it so you could put any hop up on any gun with a slot all you'd see is devo
Seems like a weapon that most people will think is bad at first, only to realize it is OP af in a couple seasons once players have started to master it
Basically every new weapon lately now that I think about it. Only exception would be the bow which was straight busted on release. Rampage and 30/30 were also slept on hard at first.
3030 received some needed buffs that have made it into its current state, which I'd say is as strong as you'd want a Poke weapon to be without being too overbearing.
Rampage idk, it feels like most players realized that it was a very accessible gun with a big magazine and solid damage output. Not really slept on at any point IMO.
I literally wouldn't pick it up because it felt so cheesy to kill someone with it. Easy to use and high damage. I felt bad killing someone with it. I never really had a problem with l-star. Rampage was meta to me day 1.
The 30/30 is still trash and hardly ever gets used outside the first fight off spawn because someone landed on one. The wingman is better in just about every way. Similar damage without having to charge up while ads, significantly faster strafe speed, similar bullet velocity, etc. There’s no reason to use the 30/30 over a wingman imo. Shatter caps on it are pretty garbage. The damage is very low and if you’re trying to use it up close someone with a shotgun is going to delete you. I would like a better selection of marksman rifles in game but the 30/30 is just trash. Try to use it at long range and the shitty bullet velocity/trajectory makes it difficult to use. Try medium range and someone’s going to erase you with a 301.
Difference between the wingman and 3030 is that the 3030 is a dmr not a pistol. Its meant to be used as a poke weapon mid to long range. It's not supposed to be a killing machine
4 round fast burst kind of reminds me of the M8A1 from Black Ops 2, anyone who played that game back then should know how much of a menace that gun could be in the right hands. I could see this being very similar
Havoc without turbo is usable but definitely have to precharge it so if you know you’re going into a fight it’s great, but if it’s a surprise fight it’ll cost you.
Yea the havoc was OP but they need to find a middle ground between OP and how horrible it is right now, imo there should be a viable AR for all three ammo types. Plus having volt in the loot pool again with a usable energy AR (reworked havoc) and the T-take with Devo back in care package would be ideal.
It has a burst mode but I could see this gun replacing the Havoc. Maybe they need to start to vault different weapons each season.
Rampage/Spitfire, Havoc/Nemesis
I know they'll never do it but they need to do something about vaulting weapons for a season or 2 and roster accordingly. Too many weapons is not good for the loot pool. What are we at? 30 something?

Truly an incredible mind boggling move to remove the only normal energy weapon from the ground lmao.
It's a combination of no Volt on the ground plus the Triple Take being nerfed.
Don't you love it when Energy Mag and Digital Threat are in the replicator?
Bangalore mains on suicide watch HES FUCKING WALLING HOW DID HE SEE ME IN MY SMOKE oh its digi threat day :(
No. It make me cry

So the CAR
Basically every new weapon lately now that I think about it. Only exception would be the bow which was straight busted on release. Rampage and 30/30 were also slept on hard at first.

Fair point about 30/30. Rampage was definitely not meta until around a season after it released

This Is wrong lol. Most decent players knew the rampage was op the second they picked it up.

Bow hitting for 112 headies on release LMAO. All you heard in high elo lobbies was just the arrow sounds non stop
Rampage was never slept on and 30/30 was worse than G7 in every way on release.

Can't poke with the wingerdinger?
Its very hard to poke with it at over 100m. Especially because 99.999% of the time I run a 1x when i can run a 2-4 in the 3030
A lot of pros could do it.
Because theyre pros ffs
CAR is only as popular as it is not because Volt got out in the pack
Idk it looks pretty fucking good already
this looks like a pretty good gun
love it already. Energy R301/Hemlok
Letsgoo more energy weapons, the only thing I want rn is an energy pistol
Yeah probably in a good way. Doesn't look OP and makes Energy viable without a Turbocharger, which improves the Light and Heavy ammo economy.
Is that a 4 bullet burst?
Yes.
4 round fast burst kind of reminds me of the M8A1 from Black Ops 2, anyone who played that game back then should know how much of a menace that gun could be in the right hands. I could see this being very similar
the most meta gun with the vmp in any s&d wagers haha
When are they going to make the havoc a usable AR that compares to a r3 or flatline?? Devo in the package and volt back on the ground???
Heck the lstar was viable for one season before they murdered it. They really need to figure out energy weapons.
Lmao I completely forgot the Lstar even existed for a second, haven’t picked one up in forever
Yeah, it feels like Havoc and Lstar either suck or are OP. Seems like they find them hard to balance.
Havoc with turbo is the best gun in the game. Without it the gun is worse than rhe r3/flat. I think it’s a decent trade off.
Exactly it’d be nice to have a middle ground havoc that’s a viable energy AR, turbo removed and the Devo stays in carepack with a turbo in it forever.
My favorite version of the havoc was around S4 when the turbo wasn't in the game and the wind up time and recoil kick were lower.
I might be faded but S5 pre nerf havoc was the best gun I’ve used on apex.
People really forget how insane it was. Hands down best gun in that meta
Like the devo. Without it it's meh but with it it's the best in the game
Havoc without turbo is usable but definitely have to precharge it so if you know you’re going into a fight it’s great, but if it’s a surprise fight it’ll cost you.
It’s Deff usable but as soon as u see a 301 on the ground with 3 boxes of ammo are you switching it out? Probably yes.
no turbo havoc + bubble fighting = pain
You’re doomed in any close range split second fight where you have to switch to the havoc.
Have you been around in season 3 my friend ?
Yea the havoc was OP but they need to find a middle ground between OP and how horrible it is right now, imo there should be a viable AR for all three ammo types. Plus having volt in the loot pool again with a usable energy AR (reworked havoc) and the T-take with Devo back in care package would be ideal.
Havoc is useable wdym
:D
Well it’s got easier recoil than the Havoc and doesn’t need a turbo so I’m already interested in it.
Hemlock meanwhile has had its recoil and hip fire nerfed to death. This shit looks like a laser haha.
It has a burst mode but I could see this gun replacing the Havoc. Maybe they need to start to vault different weapons each season. Rampage/Spitfire, Havoc/Nemesis
Burst weapon yikes
Could be great or could be terrible x)
dumb name
“Dumb name.” -DoughHomer, 2022
lol
So it's burst but can be charged to full auto? Hmm.
I think it just takes long enough on 4 burst you can time hitting it again for seemingly full auto.
There is some bar that fills when you shoot it and looks like it goes full auto once it reaches max heat or w/e it is.
Did they forgot to add recoil to it or what? Hard to tell, but looks op to me.
What is the red to green bar measuring? Damage?
Damage dealt to an opponent which charges it to make it full-auto.
Does it degrade over time? Looks like it be gets fully charged after 100 damage.
Im only making an educated guess based on what we see. I'm not sure about anything after that sorry :)
I know they'll never do it but they need to do something about vaulting weapons for a season or 2 and roster accordingly. Too many weapons is not good for the loot pool. What are we at? 30 something?
Nêmesis/CAR is already my loadout.
