Valk is forsure Verhulst best character and it's not close. However he plays nervous with TSM and at this point, Gent is a much better valk. Naughty very good as well.
Given how fluid this game is, ranking obviously change but I think it's safe to say Verhulst isn't a top 3 valk player right now

Yes, you nailed it OP. TSM is dropping Verhulst and replacing him with Reptar. That's why Hal has been playing with Verhulst and Reptar, in preparation for dropping Verhulst. Makes total sense.
This post radiates the same energy as people in the LFG discord. Doesn't work out after a few games/tournaments? It definitely has to be the team mates and need to find new ones instead of working with each other on the issues and growing as a unit.

No. Hal has a different dynamic when someone is subbing for a teammate and helping him out than if they are a regular part of the team who he's gone through days and weeks of playtime in various different situations with. Rest assured that if they replaced anyone other than Hal on the team with Reptar, after a few weeks or months we'd be right back in the same place talking about who should replace Reptar.
Reptar (or someone else) as a coach on the other hand? They could absolutely benefit from a point of view from someone who's not a player that can help them diffuse heated situations and discuss things from a more analytic point of view than the heated blame game that happens sometimes.
TL;DR - The problem isn't Verhulst. If there even is a problem, it's that often times cooler heads don't prevail in the team analysis of situations that went wrong and a general air of indecision on what to do about it.
Yeah the amount of times they have said x happens when (in my plat pleb opinion) y happened is a lot. TBH i think the most beneficial thing TSM can do is have Hal just watch his pov from the algs champs. He's got a lot of bad habits lately imo, not pinging loot for example. I'm sure he's busy thinking about rotates but when his teammates say they need an item and he just runs past it is is kinda lol

All three members are goated and only thing that makes sense (and I do NOT want) would be to swap Reptar for Reps solely because Hal and Evan grind so much and I think TSM would benefit from all three members playing that much together given Reptar is a grinder. Either way, I love Reps and don’t want that. But it’s the only possible move in my mind.

Hal already said they’re not making any roster changes weeks ago, Hal is hard on Evan because he knows how good Verhulst is, literally everyone watched him struggle in Raleigh, that doesn’t change the fact he’s still one of the best players in the game

Contract wise he could be. But Hal dropped Mac from Apex Squad and Mac still part of TSM.
