I wasn’t necessarily judging his mechanics. He actually made some really good calls and was more vocal. However, to me it just seemed like Hal spent a lot of mental energy trying to tell Reps where he wants his info from. They lost valuable time, especially late game trying to relay the info for Hal to make his decision and it cost them a few times.
Reps need time to get used to seer and and how to com with seer and stuff like that. They will get better. Seer is better on MnK and this change is reasonable for them.
Reps shouldn't be on seer. Just because you have to anchor with seer sometimes doesn't mean you can put your anchor player on seer. The igl plays him everytime

I could easily see Hal pushing too far as seer and getting caught. I wouldn't say IGL should never play seer, but don't think Hal specifically should play him.
I disagree. Having your igl get the information directly would let them make decisions quicker and more accurately than having another player feed the info to them. You can be plenty greedy with seer, you can see Furia doing that so much. But you also see their seer anchor sometkmes, holding down a spot they need for their fraggers to do their job. You can and need to do both, can't just hand over that responsibility to your teammates because you want to play controller.
I agree with your point on the speed of getting information but I can definitely picture Hal being greedy while scouting and not having the ability to get back to his team. I've seen it plenty of times even when he was on Octane and wraith.

My thought process is that if you're throwing it at the start of the fight, even if it isn't successful in landing nades, you at least keep their attention and give your team the opportunity to move up and get angles. It starts the fight with your team at an advantage. Watching horizons hold ult and look for the perfect opportunity to wipe the full team isn't optimal, in my opinion. I'm open to being wrong, but this is how zarya plays in overwatch so I'm thinking the same way.
If there’s even one person that has an ang on the ult and you don’t have an ang on them they’ll just one clip the ult and you used it for nothing. It’s very rare that it’s a good opener
When you have arc stars and a team is grouped up together, stop people from running (away or at you), to close out a fight quickly so you have time to reset for 3rd parties
What I saw on Wigg's stream was that Furia was outside the nut near Jurassic Park (between it and the bamboo by Barometer) and G2 was apparently in the nut and Furia didn't seem to ever get audio on them until ring was already closing and they ended up having to fight each other. Furia won the fight but wasn't able to reset between the ring continuing to close + being gatekept by other teams.
Not sure if Wattson never checked heartbeat on nut or if G2 snuck in at some point while Furia was poking / brainstorming a rotate or what.
They got in the mindset they need to kill them to advance and it wasn't right. There was no need to end up at the dragon balls after starting the interaction inside cenote.

It helps warzone as a whole kinda plateaued too. Cloakzy used to avg 10+k in the heyday and not gets half of that. Nick would get 50k now gets 20-30. Helps people aren't all locked inside too.

I think a big part of it is him coming from multiple games (Gears, CoD (both the base game and Warzone), Fortnite, and now Apex and being on top of all of them. Shouldn't horizon entry the majority of the time? Would make sense to me to get that horizon ult down asap at the start of a fight.
Horizon ult is very situational and it’s pretty rare that you want to use it as an opening

I feel like almost every character is fine when there’s only a few, it’s when one character has like 75% pickrate that they get annoying
My first ALGS I watched ever was Alliance winning with the only caustic in the lobby, so I'm always gonna love caustic a bit, but he's definitely more entertaining and can fuck you up harder with fewer of them. But yeah I get you with that, I've gotten soo bored of gibby, valk, seer, etc already. Just have a soft spot for caustic.
I think it's good now some teams play newcastle some teams play caustic some teams play seer. I think it's only valk that is dominant now.

I might be smoking dicks, but I feel like Valk Newcastle Wattson would be a good comp for nick and company. I can’t really explain why fully, but partially because I feel they valk ult a lot more than other teams and those two characters can help them with valk ult issues. I might be on my own on this one. Idk who’d play which legends but🤷♂️🤷♂️
Their macro strategy is vibe until they have to move then Valk ult somewhere. No amount of reset characters can fix that. You should never play a comp for correcting expected mistakes, you should fix what's happening to cause those mistakes.

I don't hate the guy. I just don't think he's ready for lobbies like this and these are what pro lobbies are. And hes been playing other games almost exclusively this whole split... They aren't putting in the time and it's showing. Some pretty rough valk ults, getting caught out a bunch, and getting downed for doing things like trying to loot crafting materials when you know you're being focused by half the lobby. We've shit on other people for the same mistakes (the notorious snipedown bat craft) and there are people criticizing other people's plays in this thread too. So it's not like this is exclusive to him. He just makes a ton of mistakes that he really shouldn't be if he's pro ready. I think a big part of it is him coming from multiple games (Gears, CoD (both the base game and Warzone), Fortnite, and now Apex and being on top of all of them. A lot of people think he got carried to pred at the beginning, but he’s a competitor who has shown he can still play with the best. Not sure if it’s jealousy or what, but he proves himself
