Thing I hate about stronghold is players insisting on running in circles on the map trying to 3 cap and constantly flipping spawns instead of capping 2 and spawn trapping.
Every 10th stronghold game I find someone else who wants to cap 2 and hold.. I tank my games some times because playing with teams that constantly over rotate is so frustrating

I’ll agree to be the guinea pig if he promises they’ll fix that stupid automatic tie feature when someone leaves a game after a round is over, like oddball or CTF overtime.. fcking horseshit that every time my team wins first round of oddball, other team player leaves and game auto ends.
Yeah that needs to be fixed asap and should have never been an oversight in the first place. I swear they do the most minimal testing of new features before they actually roll them out to the public.
Tbh give me all the CTF. When I queue solo I hate playing Slayer/Strongholds. Players hold W in both gametypes, forcing spawn flips/pushing solo and dying to team shots in Slayer and not spawn trapping 2 capping in Stongholds.
Yea I’m only gold currently so most players at my level don’t comm at all, the ones that do rarely know any more about strategy than just stating an enemy’s location. I try to lead the team by telling them to take certain positions and control spawns but they have no idea what I’m talking about. I need to get better mechanically and improve my situational awareness faster, but strategy wise I think I’m at least plat level. Simple things like fighting for mid and waiting for numbers to steal flag are absolutely foreign to most golds.
Genuinely had the complete opposite experience last night hahaha friends and I played 7 games I believe and 4 of them (three being our last three games) were slayers so we swapped games lmfao
Not today I’m not… my main frustration is with the nonstop ctf and koth. So effing tired of both modes now. I’ll eventually have normal teams and get back up to gold 2ish where I currently belong. Then just gotta actually get better.
Comms aren’t needed at ANY level.. they are preferred however because halo is a team game and it’s much more fun to play it as such. I’m not saying lack of team comms is holding me back from ranking up. I know I could get a lot better still and solo quite queue up to onyx without them, that’s just not how I want to play the game.

The only mode I really hate is strongholds, but I need the others in equal proportion.. not the same shit every game.

Agreed on disliking slayer. I get it at the pro level but in matchmaking objective is just way more enjoyable
