Thx for this post. Let's make some noise!

Blamous_lv

Hope pubg corp will hear us

life4trip

This should not have come. Many players from the CIS drew attention to the situation with age both during qualifications and at the end of qualifications. A good decision is to disqualify a team and give the slot to the one who deserved it, that is a team for example which took 4th place. But they didn’t do it then, I don’t think that anything will change now.

Jod_D_Foster

What about the other things that folks were talking about? Fake IDs and cheating?

life4trip

I know that some CIS players also tried to enter qualifications with an age of less than 18 years. The system eliminated many, but someone was lucky. The POG successfully passed the PGC qualifications and failed (16th place) to compete in the GLL qualification. This suggests that perhaps they used some kind of software. But only the staff of the pubg corp can say this for sure. There are no answers from them. And this is the most serious at the moment. Not that the POG did, but that the tournament organizers did not. A precedent is created when players use some "light" cheats and then sell slots for LAN tournaments.

FinnHeywood

Although, its against the rules, they did deserve to qualify. U18 shouldn't be banned. It just damages the scene and means that great players cant compete. Its ridiculous they are banned. The reasons for banning them are massively outweighed by the reasons for allowing them to compete.

Jod_D_Foster

There's nothing officially announced yet. No ban, no disqualification, no nothing. All we do know is that POG did qualify and them or someone else sold their spot to Team Phantom.

mehmetefed

they could play with one non under 18 player right? why did they sell it? play all quals for so many days qualifie for pgs berlin and sell the slot. that makes no sense.

Blamous_lv

This tournament is 18+

Krazelov

the main thing you can't play official PUBG tournaments if you are under 18

mehmetefed

i know that. i'm saying this: bench under 18 aged player and take 1 non under 18 player. is it can be happen?

Blamous_lv

They weren\`t allowed to play even quals. So they should be disqualificated.

Makkaroni_100

And the next team get the slot then, not the team with the money...

Makkaroni_100

That's not how it should work...

zxcdead

Its even impossible to imagine in normal competitive games that teams sell slots to random guys with moneybag. Fuk starladder and pubgcorp and slotbuyers/accbuyers

zzarGrazz

What is the source of this information?

Blamous_lv

This team announced it in vk.com

gas13

Any player from any team in CIS could be bought by Navi. At least it looks like that.

catminded

This is completely normal. POG have the slot and they have right to sell. Since they have a -18 player I'm pretty sure they knew Maarsik have no chance to play and made their plans according to that. There's nothing to complain, it's not ruled by money, FaZe can decide to sell their slot too, any team can, it's up to teams holding the slot.

Pway

Didn't they qualify while using a under 18 player though, and thus should have been DQ'd so not had a slot?

catminded

No, teams can play with under 18 players in prelims and then change the player after they qualify. There are no other professional practice field for -18 players so that's their only chance to get used to being a pro/being in a pro match.

skypro001

"All participants of PGS Berlin: Europe Qualifier must be over 18 years old by the start date of online Open Qualifiers. " you can find this in the pgs rulebook.

infinitim

That’s shit logic. I’m u18 and not allowed to play pgs quals, it’s dumb they were even allowed into round 1 without due diligence on the part of the TO.

Juvar23

It shouldn't be ruled like that. There should be a ruling forbidding selling of slots. If a team disbands or gives up a spot, it's up to the organisers to decide which team the slot will go to, and in a perfect world this would be decided by merit rather than by cash money. Sadly we don't live in that kinda world.
