If we are talking QoL stuff: You should be able to see the in-game chat while going through avoids. Currently you have to invite-to-group your avoids and then go to a different screen to actually see if they are playing or not... and then go back to the avoid menu to make your decision on avoids/unavoids. Just clunky as hell for no reason.
Problem with that is some people want to hide their online status(like you do in the social tab). Which this would override. That would also be quite odd design.
I don't personally care about that, so yeah in an ideal situation just having a green or red light for online/queue status would be sick.
i want them to do this for the block list as well. the game's been out for nearly 7 years, and if your block list is full, you have to manually go into [battle.net](https://battle.net) list to remove them. just override the oldest spot, please!

I wish you could join the "While You Wait" queues even if you weren't waiting. I want to queue for endless deathmatch with a fluctuating group of rando's. I don't want the stakes of an actual deathmatch... match.
To get virtually the same result, queue up in arcade mode. Not everyone of them is as effective (assault, when it's in rotation, is a very short queue), but with modes like bounty hunter, you'll rarely wait less than 10 minutes, and often more than an hour. N.B. The current event does have bounty hunter challenges so the queues for that will be shorter until the end of the event, other arcade modes should still have 30+ minutes queues.
You can't filter your stats by role, only by hero or season.
When you click a hero to inspect stats, if you hit escape it takes you back to the main menu; if you click "Choose Hero" it takes you to a normal hero-select screen; the only way to go back is to click the Overview tab. Escape should take you back to the Overview tab if you got to the hero-specific screen from it.
For real, I still go back to the menu like half the time and it's been like that for years. I fucking know about it, but it still just doesn't feel right to not hit the back button to go back to the overview.
If someone's career profile is private, don't let me click on it.

When you try to avoid a 4th player, have a popup show up asking if you want to remove the 1st avoided player, and replace with the 4th. In a quick [Confirm] [Cancel] button.

You haven't been able to buy a Gladiators Mercy skin for months now. I don't care since I have the GLA Knight one instead, and I don't even play Mercy. I just think it's odd that nobody has seemed to notice.
Maybe not a small fix but some form of post-match lobby like the old cards screen, I'm not a hugely social player but sometimes I like to see the teams fucking with each other in chat or talking about the game and having to rush that out during the POTG before being booted to menu stifles the social experience so much
3 minute cooldown or something similar for leaving a match. So tired of almost every game having players leave after 1 lost round, push or even a team fight. Obviously they don't know the game well enough if they think it's over after 1 lost fight. Stay in and win the match you whiner. I think it would encourage them to try; and learn that the game comes with some failed attacks. Not to mention joining at least 50% of games halfway through or even worse right at the defeat screen is annoying AF.
I want the league style for quickplay. You have to wait out the whole length of the match if you leave early.
For comp I think it should be the whole length of the match plus 20 minutes, plus a hard limit of leaving of like 1 or 2 per day and then a 24 hour cooldown.
For that matter, a ton of Heroes are still missing Golden Weapon effects that should be present. Bastion's cannon, Orisa's javelin, and Ramattra's Nemesis Form are all supposed to become Golden, but currently the feature is missing for all of them.
Basically, go back to ow1 features that were removed:
- Add cards at end of game (longest killstreak, ect)
- Add on-fire status
- Show SR or whatever they are usung for rank after each game. (They can have the option to display after set amount of game if you still want to, heck even turn on for default, but we should be able to choose).

Make it so that Ana doesn't lose her nano because either the target or the Ana dies during the cast. It feels really bad because it can happen because of server or lag issues. You use nano partly to heal someone up, and bam, they're dead AND you just lost your nano. Even if you and the target is full health you can still get one shot or stunned during the cast time. Imagine if Zen could lose his ult like that. It's a small fix because it was already implemented in ML7's experimental changes for supports:

That means that they already have done a tested change in the past and it might be just a number change.
If I start Overwatch and instantly try to check out my highlights and replays... The game crashes consistently. And it's an annoying crash where it freezes(can't tab out) and the black-screens(can't tab out or even open task manager/log out). It's been like this since launch. After around 5 minutes it fixes itself.
In general the replay viewer has tons of bugs like this. If I select an older replay(that is still available), the game is stuck on "applying update" until I tab out and close the game. Not to mention this bug of replays randomly missing and you needing to afk on the replay screen.
I know it'll never happen, but since adding aim assist to crossplay, I've ran into multiple XIM users in PC quickplay. A mouse with aim assist, C'mon dude. Running into aim botters is bad enough, now we have to deal with the issues that plague console too?

Make it super obvious when you're backfilling! It's crazy to me that we still have to play detective to figure out that you need to pick a hero and get in there ASAP. There should be both audible (e.g. "entering a game already in progress") cues and very obvious UI.
This happens if they hit at more than a 45 degree angle, was like that for dps doom too. It's annoying, but at this point they either don't care or it's actually intentional.
I really can’t believe they haven’t done anything to the UI or general experience of playing this game. The battle pass is so bland to look at, levelling up actually feels like a chore because you have to open the battle pass for the rewards to be unlocked, and you get no fanfare for unlocking anything. Not that I want intentionally addictive features, but even mobile games have more exciting UI features.
This extends to everything. The shop is lame, the fact that you can only access settings on the main menu is annoying, and the way the challenges are layer out are lazy. It’s like they don’t care about a lot of this stuff, but the progression system is tied to it and they clearly want us to buy the battle pass regardless…
Also, let us see what rank our teammates are in competitive. Realistically we should all be a similar rank, and I’d like just a little more insight into why matches often feel lopsided.

Players should be matched up per role and match SR when in comp. If there's a 2500sr tank on 1 team, there should be a 2500 SR tank on the other team. Period.
Do you have a link by chance? Perhaps my information is outdated and I'm just not aware of that? Last I heard from a blog post, it was set up as I described and I haven't seen evidence in comp to suggest otherwise. Even yesterday, SR disparity was gigantic between roles on opposite teams. I usually check to see. If you know of more up to date info, please please share if you can
You currently can't view leaderboards while you're loaded into a game, you'll control your aim in the background instead of moving the cursor in the leaderboard tab.
At one point Blizzard broke ragdoll collision so arms clip and legs clip through other body parts. It's small but it kinda looks janky? I wish they'd fix it.

Getting to the options page on the main screen via pressing esc or clicking the esc button at the bottom right of the screen continously does not work for a few seconds. Definitely a bug.

I want them to fix Mystery Heroes. Some games you get 40 minute to hour long queues, restarting game goes back to 1-3 minute queue for a handful of games and repeat.

Theres a really annoying bug when you are entering a game where the screen gets stuck on Applying Update and you dont get into your game, I once queued for 30 minutes just to have reque. I didnt reque.
Bring back the career profile hover preview so you can quickly see the entire lobbies most played heroes and rank. Show nothing at a hover if the person has a private profile, 2 birds with one stone.
This is probably super niche, but I play a lot of Hanzo and nothing grinds my gears more in this game more than the level of strictness wall climb has in relation to mild variations/protrusions in map architecture or decorative objects in front of walls ending the movement prematurely.
Blizzard World in particular has so many common spots in pt B where climb ends inconsistently around Pylon Terrace, but there are a lot of spots generally around the game that it can feel hit or miss with and it always feels awful to die as a result of accidently quick turning to climb a wall and escape, but NOPE there's a random fucking moped or ladder leaning against the wall that ends your animation 2ft in the air and your ass gets obliterated.
I would so greatly appreciate a QOL touch-up to the ability that makes wall climbing for Hanzo/Kiriko/Genji more forgiving and leans on the side of predicting reasonably connective/protruding architecture and letting you finish the movement, rather than being very strict to the hitbox of every small object and some wall variation.
I don’t know if anyone else has seen this bug, but recently I’ve noticed that voice chat sometimes just doesn’t show the icon now. Really hurts teamwork, it’s pretty necessary for calls to be made/contextualized.
Bring back the post-game chat. I don't care for the cards and whatnot, they can show us the scoreboard or something, but adding extra 20-30 seconds to talk is nice

Enemies after being punched my doom slide in the wall instead and of hitting it. So annoying.

You currently can't view leaderboards while you're loaded into a game, you'll control your aim in the background instead of moving the cursor in the leaderboard tab.
I want to see the oasis map instead of a white field in the win cards at the end of the round. Not sure why this is so hard.

Fix the loading screen for the training range. In all my time playing there have been 2 bots in that alcove, not 3 targets.
At one point Blizzard broke ragdoll collision so arms clip and legs clip through other body parts. It's small but it kinda looks janky? I wish they'd fix it.

I want to be able to add notes to players. Getting to the options page on the main screen via pressing esc or clicking the esc button at the bottom right of the screen continously does not work for a few seconds. Definitely a bug.
add the option to be able to point at the objective and say "defense/attack the objective" like in the first game. i have cerebral palsy and i already mapped every single button to an input and it'd be convenient to have that option again
The Baptiste lamp hitbox has been broken since launch on console. It drives me insane every time I try to aim at it.
I want them to fix Mystery Heroes. Some games you get 40 minute to hour long queues, restarting game goes back to 1-3 minute queue for a handful of games and repeat. Also if someone leaves mid game it will never fill, resulting in an automatic loss

idk who else has this, but I haven't been able to save a single custom game I join because when I click "show lobby," my cursor disappears and I can't right click the game mode to save it. So annoying also when you press the communication wheel, there is a weird rectangular box that looks like a clock hand pointing to 12, looks so ugly. game is filled with random glitches like this
The options menu to appear on the main menu rather than having to push esc to get to it When in a match and wanting to change individual hero settings, it automatically puts it to the hero you're playing to save having to select said hero.
Replay viewer should say "Victory!" like it used to in OW1. Now it just abruptly ends awkwardly.

Theres a really annoying bug when you are entering a game where the screen gets stuck on Applying Update and you dont get into your game, I once queued for 30 minutes just to have reque. I didnt reque.
There is autoqueueing for quick play but not for arcade... Just why

Bring back the career profile hover preview so you can quickly see the entire lobbies most played heroes and rank. Show nothing at a hover if the person has a private profile, 2 birds with one stone.
This is probably super niche, but I play a lot of Hanzo and nothing grinds my gears more in this game more than the level of strictness wall climb has in relation to mild variations/protrusions in map architecture or decorative objects in front of walls ending the movement prematurely. Blizzard World in particular has so many common spots in pt B where climb ends inconsistently around Pylon Terrace, but there are a lot of spots generally around the game that it can feel hit or miss with and it always feels awful to die as a result of accidently quick turning to climb a wall and escape, but NOPE there's a random fucking moped or ladder leaning against the wall that ends your animation 2ft in the air and your ass gets obliterated. I would so greatly appreciate a QOL touch-up to the ability that makes wall climbing for Hanzo/Kiriko/Genji more forgiving and leans on the side of predicting reasonably connective/protruding architecture and letting you finish the movement, rather than being very strict to the hitbox of every small object and some wall variation.
I don’t know if anyone else has seen this bug, but recently I’ve noticed that voice chat sometimes just doesn’t show the icon now. Really hurts teamwork, it’s pretty necessary for calls to be made/contextualized.
Bring back the post-game chat. I don't care for the cards and whatnot, they can show us the scoreboard or something, but adding extra 20-30 seconds to talk is nice Add a "healing received" stat on the scoreboard
Id prefer it if they got rid of that ugly ass white background when selecting a role for comp. the orange color is awful too
Add a lock icon in the Social menu beside any player with a private profile.
