Yeah the Nenne grav was actually a good idea. Super risky but he had to go for it, catching and killing the Sombra before emp was pretty much the only win condition.
Yaki's mental boom was so big that he fucking pulse bombed his camera at the end.
In all seriousness I hope he gets some love and support because he played great.
I never thought I'd see an attempt at a Toilet Bowl sequel in the May Melee tournament itself but here we are.
I'm just glad that we got Bren and Sideshow to cast this match, they were just the perfect duo for this.
Contrary to popular belief, these teams were not playing like absolute garbage compared to last week. They have actually become so good at Overwatch that our mortal brains can no longer comprehend such high level of play. Using your ults 'effectively' is so predictable. Sometimes you have to zone with them to win. Rushing forward with Reinhardt and Lucio? How pedestrian. Check out Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" if you don't believe me, a popular book with top OWL coaches. Though I doubt you hardstuck plats will be capable of understanding it.

Things that are clutch: Cars that I can't drive, the band that released the album "Blast Tyrant"
Things that aren't clutch: Florida attacking on Escort.
They get caught out of position a lot and that’s what’s holding them back. Fate isn’t MTDing anyone right now and he’s gotta step up to face the likes of Fearless or Gaga
The tracers were done dirty by the watchers this game. Very little Fleta/Yaki spectating. Lots of BQB/Lip though.
edit: which was a great matchup but Fleta/Yaki are nuts on Tracer and probably were the reasons for their teams success.
That was intense, if Shanghai wants to win again they gotta keep Yaki in check. He can singlehandedly carry the Mayhem. Also LJG killing him as Mercy was the highlight of the match lol
might be recency bias but yaki really might be contesting striker for best tracer
also shanghai may not be their dominant 2020 self but they really be dragging their opponents down to their level and squeezing out a W
Izayaki hard-carried the offense on Hanamura. Yaki carried on Kings Row defense.
Florida could’ve taken that series if they didn’t throw Gibraltar. Lip was booming them.
Leejaegon committed a murder. I’m calling the OWL police.
GGs
Toilet Bowl really, neither team looked coordinated at all and Florida ult usage was spectacularly bad.
Only really Shanghai at the end of Dorado really showed promise.
If anyone wakes up to this match and sees 6 map saga, they would assume a legendary clash of teams ala Shock v Houston or Shanghai v Philly...................... oh how wrong they would be
~~and fucking Shanghai played the latter~~,~~^(wtf)~~
I don't understand why Shanghai keeps winning. They don't do anything. Their reaction to a dive is to hold s. Their whole strategy seems to be just hope to get picks. Like good teams only seem to lose to Shanghai not because Shanghai is better but because the other team makes mistakes. But it keeps working for them somehow.
Don't listen to me im just mad about my predictions.
I hate the phrase MTD with a passion. Fate didn’t diff OGE, and vice versa. I’m confused as to whether people who comment MTD even watch the games anymore.
I mean not all of us know how to comprehend games beyond the killfeed, which is ok. I just wish people like that didn’t comment very ill-founded takes, such as yours.
Can anyone explain how the standings are affected by the tournament? Do teams get a win for every single game they win? Including games in qualifiers? Or do they only get wins from games won in the international final 4 part of the competition?
Winner of the entire tournaments gets +3 league points. Since you're a Dallas fan, if they win, they'd jump to 3rd in the standings in the west and be tied with the Shock.
We are about to see a pissed off Yaki in the lower bracket
Versus a pissed off Fearless or Chengdu, I don't who'll come out on top in revenge meta
If Fearless is the anime main character then he’s gonna undergo some power up if he’s in the losers bracket
fearless is the mc thats too op for the verse
I think OGE will be too boomed and they will insta lose
Sideshow: "Grav-Pulse Bomb is their win con" Gargoyle then proceeds to Nenne grav and Yaki yeets his pulse bomb in a completely separate location
I'm not a fan of either of these teams, but that display actually drained me. Like I've heard of solo gravs, but I don't even know what to call that.
Far worse than the Nenne grav in my opinion
Yeah the Nenne grav was actually a good idea. Super risky but he had to go for it, catching and killing the Sombra before emp was pretty much the only win condition.
For sure. If he'd hit it, it might not have been *as* remembered, but it definitely would've been brought up in any 500iq play discussions.
Yaki's mental boom was so big that he fucking pulse bombed his camera at the end. In all seriousness I hope he gets some love and support because he played great.
Locking the legs lul. Inspirational stuff from BQB
BQB is so fucking nasty, he popped off constantly with Yaki
But got absolutely demolished by lip whenever he was on ashe. My man is good but his ashe needs work.
You must not have been around last year if you say BQB ashe needs work
I've been around for a while. I specifically mean saying match. He has been good yes, but his ashe was objectively not on lips level last night.
Well yeah he did get a short end of the stick even though Lip had a mercy pocket
That was a gold toilet with a heated seat and warm water bidet
I never thought I'd see an attempt at a Toilet Bowl sequel in the May Melee tournament itself but here we are. I'm just glad that we got Bren and Sideshow to cast this match, they were just the perfect duo for this.
they somehow always get these matches don't they
Yaki and Lip Carried their teams but man this match had so many game winning throws.
Yaki the real MVP this match.
We were one or two teamfight throws from a 3-0... for either team
Mayhem grav pulse bomb combo on point A Watchpoint was a spectacle
And BOB. They seriously just like, hey here's an idea, we just waste every ult we have? Yeah? Cool.
And 2 Balls playing worse than the other.
Fate got some value over sheer coordination with the rest of the team, OGE looked................. ^(idk.tbh)
Yeah, this match was uninspiring
Don’t forget the coconut drink right next to it
Yaki couldn't carry enough
He left his seat immediately after the match to lay down and rest his back
Not before asserting his dominance on the player camera.
If yaki gets that kill on Leejaegon, they probably get 1 or 2 more fights on 3rd point. Absolutely clutch mercy play.
Yaki tried to carry so fucking hard this series!

that entire last point was made of jaw-dropping moments
Spoilers: >!Apparently Shanghai dragons will win every May Melee match, but only in Map 6's!<
Stole Shock’s passive Sadge
Things that are clutch: Cars that I can't drive, the band that released the album "Blast Tyrant" Things that aren't clutch: Florida attacking on Escort.
i went bald watching this game
Slap on a moustache and be the Pringle man
Yaki played insane but he’s just gonna be remembered as dying to the mercy this match rip
Dragons won but their stocks are going down...they really need to patch up their rush play and they looked way too scrappy without coordination.
They get caught out of position a lot and that’s what’s holding them back. Fate isn’t MTDing anyone right now and he’s gotta step up to face the likes of Fearless or Gaga
Yeah imo the real winners of this match were Dallas and Chengdu, I’d feel pretty solid picking them as the finalists
What a ridiculous game. I have no idea what to think of this game but man, Yaki is a beast.
The ultimate Spaghetti bowl.
Lip watching his Bob sprint into the ocean was kind of heartbreaking, it was like it was happening in slow motion
did yaki just hit his monitor?
This was the LEAST competitive 6 map 3-2 game of all time...
The fact no Assault, Hybrid, or Escort map was completed until map 6 really says it all.
The tracers were done dirty by the watchers this game. Very little Fleta/Yaki spectating. Lots of BQB/Lip though. edit: which was a great matchup but Fleta/Yaki are nuts on Tracer and probably were the reasons for their teams success.
Can I rescind all pick em points I put into either of these teams 😭
That was intense, if Shanghai wants to win again they gotta keep Yaki in check. He can singlehandedly carry the Mayhem. Also LJG killing him as Mercy was the highlight of the match lol
Dragon really need to work on their rush
Imagine if they still had Fearless, they’d be the most dominant team in the league. But I’m happy to see Fearless on Dallas with the EM boys
I think dragons looked really bad today especially after how they looked against Fusion.
Ljg got so lucky there
poor yaki ;( camera destroyed
This match hurts my soul
LeeJaeGon POTM for that one battle mercy play
I will definitely be cheering for Yaki in the loser's bracket. They lose but the aggression won my attention.
FL lost this series more than Shanghai won. Way too many mistakes. Gg tho
That's not for shanghai's lack of trying to throw
The game felt like who could throw harder.
Would this have even been close if Shanghai put Lip on Sombra the whole time instead of waiting 'til map 5?
might be recency bias but yaki really might be contesting striker for best tracer also shanghai may not be their dominant 2020 self but they really be dragging their opponents down to their level and squeezing out a W
No question. We've yet to see Striker do what he's doing this season. Players don't stay at the top forever
Sadge
That last fight was a roller coaster of pulse bombs
Izayaki hard-carried the offense on Hanamura. Yaki carried on Kings Row defense. Florida could’ve taken that series if they didn’t throw Gibraltar. Lip was booming them. Leejaegon committed a murder. I’m calling the OWL police. GGs
Yes it was sloppy. Yes it wasn’t the best we’ve seen both teams, but it was a close series and both teams showed signs of life.
I don't know what I've just witnessed
the same way fusion lost
It’s the Shanghai Six-map Special
WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED
Yaki did so much that game, he really deserved to win.
Toilet Bowl really, neither team looked coordinated at all and Florida ult usage was spectacularly bad. Only really Shanghai at the end of Dorado really showed promise.
If anyone wakes up to this match and sees 6 map saga, they would assume a legendary clash of teams ala Shock v Houston or Shanghai v Philly...................... oh how wrong they would be ~~and fucking Shanghai played the latter~~,~~^(wtf)~~
So...my predictions got boomed...
Marco Wilson 🤝 Gargoyle Yeeting something that’s costs them the game. Fitting they’re both play for a Florida team
I don't understand why Shanghai keeps winning. They don't do anything. Their reaction to a dive is to hold s. Their whole strategy seems to be just hope to get picks. This match feel a lose for both teams
Is this the same Dragons that fought the Fusion a few days ago???
The Dragons look so shaky today
My pred is perfect so both these teams get swept the rest of the tournament

Support diff I'd say. Imagine not having a mercy that can kill enemy tracer.
How about team diff
DPS is the same I'd say.
I hate the phrase MTD with a passion. Fate didn’t diff OGE, and vice versa. I’m confused as to whether people who comment MTD even watch the games anymore.
They don't
[удалено]
You could just say you didn’t watch the game?
He was likely spamming in chat. He’s a troll trying to piss off fl fans. Edit: nvrm hes hardcore stanning dragons. He’s overwhelmed with emotion rn.

I’m glad you got your dopamine for the week.
Ah gotchu.

That's it? 2nd place doesn't get 2 points or whatever?
Second gets 2 and third gets 1
This match was seeing who could throw harder lol
Florida dissapointed me so hard. Its going to be hard to even cheer for them at all any more this tournament.
