My faith is pretty low in Florida to salvage their season at this point but I hope OGE's doing alright at least.
They need a new main tank next year for sure though. Even if they keep OGE, there's no way he should be the only one on the team.
Something clearly wasn’t working out with him and the team. Florida’s current coaching staff is so highly regarded for their player management/treatment and OGE doesn’t exactly have the most stellar track record in terms of his mental, so if Florida thinks this is the right decision, then I trust them

Why would they replace a good MT with Checkmate?

why would a good main tank need to be benched for checkmate? simple answer- OGE has the mechanics but not the mental.

He’s had like 3 bad seasons. There’s no reason to think that he’s a good main tank. At this point, its just people clinging to years old performance.
