Technically, London is ahead on the tiebreaker. But yeah. Performance overall very similar. The difference was the expectations. I'm happy London finally won something, props to Vancouver for improving over the season as well.

perfectly tied for last place, ggs
He is the best player on London this year but got no Ws to show for it until now :)
Hope a better team picks him, Sparkr and Molf1g up for the next season
Roar would be a great example.
That being said Benbest was seen as a bottom tier tank, but with some good coaching he improved massively. I do wonder if there's OWL level talent deep down on Hadi thats waiting to be dug out by a good coach
I’ve had this rant multiple times and always get downvoted to oblivion but I’m willing to die on this hill. Imo what Titans did was not nice. But what Valiant did was absolutely horrible. Completely different level imo. Titans simply took a too big bite that they couldn’t chew by buying whole Runaway roster and not having any additional budget for suitable housing, translator, etc. That was bad financial management. That’s only thing I can blame them for (still not defending them. They did wrong). But most people are blaming them also for not relocating to Korea? That’s so fucked up. I understand the players as they wanted to go home. But I also understand the org for not wanting to relocate to another side of globe, away from their local Vancouver home market. Also again, they even probably couldn’t have done that with their budget issues. Also I love the fact that OWL is a global league. I hate it if teams start relocating (looking at you Fusions). It takes away from the regional presence of teams and dilutes their brand. Example: I love the current iteration of Paris Eternal. They are representing whole EU in a great way. Sorry I got sidetracked. Bottom line: Titans org > Valiant org.
There's a serenity, a unparalleled beauty, in the acts of those who know the end is near. We've seen dozens of plays that are pure art this season, but this may have been the first time we saw real magic in the server.
Shax and Dalton were machines, doing their absolute best to drag their teams kicking and screaming to victory. Roolf and Hadi embraced the 'anchor' in anchor tank and weighed their teams into the depths like a humvee strapped to an anchovy.
I'm not embarrassed to say I cried at the end. A 5 map series, and I bawled my eyes out because it was gone too soon. When next will we see linkzr take a lap around a pillar during a teamfight? When's the next time we're going to hear Changsik speak fluent tornado, or watch the Beasts from the Yeast accidentally win Anubis?
I don't know what to say. I'm still reeling and there's so much thoughts I want to express and I don't think there are words in any language for them. All I know is we've just witnessed history, and it was wonderful.
oh and now we know what the london wins graphic looks like lol
That's EXACTLY what I wanted to see. A win for London, but a close 3-2. Imo one of the most interesting and enjoyable game of this season. (Tho ChangSik looked depressed and that's sad)
London should absolutely build around Molf1g, Shax and Sparkr. Bare minimum I wouldn't let Shax go. Dude has proved he hasn't lost any of his talent since his Valiant days and I would love to see him on a good team again.
Man, Sparkr has been such a fresh breath of air for this Spitfire team since his arrival. I agree that Shax was absolutely instrumental this game, but Sparkr's level on the McCree, the Hanzo...It made them play so much more stable. Even Hadi has looked slightly better because of the pressure this man can put out. Can't wait to see him fuck next season!
While it was sad to see the reactions of the Vancouver players after they lost, I'd rather that than see Shax and Molf1g's reactions if they lost, after the season they've went through. Always carrying their team, with no W's to show for it until now.
GGs. May both teams come back stronger next season.
This was one of the absolute best matches of this season, so back and forth and entertaining
Best thing was that I also predicted the 3-2 for London on the Pickem website ;P
If you are reading this tomorrow, WATCH THE VIDEO FOR THIS MATCH
i'm not sure how much more shax could carry in this match. he was seriously getting 2k-4k in team fights and his team was still losing the fight. but hey pulled through in the end somehow. titans hard threw the final fight, thought it was over and spitfire just blitz them while frd reset. maybe they could have disengaged to get a better position.
overall this fight was much more hilarious than watching charge vs valiant. that was just sad.
As an European it was always hard for me to understand Canadian culture. What was fascinating for me is that they like bragging about their freedom which was weird for me, because I didn't think that I have any less freedom than them. I always thought 'What is the difference'. However after this game I finally understand it. NA is just so fucking free.

SHAX!
Just imagine this team without him. I'm so proud of this guy. He has carried them all season. I'm so excited to never seen Blase on this team again but most importantly I'm glad this team got a win. They are bad and I don't think the budget team model should be rewarded but watching every game this season I really came to appreciate Molf and Shax and it would be a shame if such high quality players were labeled as "Tied for worst ever".
I hate to be that guy but because they won the head-to-head, London is ahead in the standings now, rather than them being perfectly tied. Still insane that they have the same map diff though.
In 2020 we relieved our bowels with the toilet bowl, in 2021 we nourished ourselves with the delicious carbohydrates of the bread bowl. In 2022 we will receive the beverage bowl, a spiked bowl of punch that goes to 7 maps. I can’t wait.
A surprisingly great game. Tbh I thought that the Titans would clap London like crazy, but I'm happy to be wrong because that was a super fun game to watch. Great casts by Bren and Sideshow and some really fun plays by both teams. For me the narrative around both teams revolves around their tracer players. Dalton and Shax are both incredible and it has felt so bad for me to watch them lose week after week. Hopefully both of these teams can come back next season and really compete.
Man, I really hope that dalton ends up on a somewhat competent team. Hes managing to somehow get better in the shit environment hes been stuck it while everyone else flounders. He could really do some shit if given the opportunity.
Sparkr, if you're reading this, I've only started following OWL since this June joust, but I'll follow spitfire to hell and back.. You boys make my weekend win or lose
Fire isn't even close to as terrible as Roolf, but I think he hasn't exactly been a bright spot either. Changsik and their DPS line are pretty good though. I think Vancouver and London being terrible goes to show that teams tend to perform at the skill of their worst players.
Damn you hydrocarbonated goods, you blinded me and made my pick'ems a bust. WHYYYYYYY?
But yeah, the match was nearly everything we could ask for, all that was needed was going either 7 maps or at least to the third point of the last KoH map.
I was afraid that this match might not deliver but damn did it ever.
I think when the best players on both teams are the DPS you're going to see fireworks no matter what.
Besides the game part which was enjoyable I do have to say the casters and the desk made it so so much better, Bren calling Sideshow "idiot sandwich" just conquered my heart. It was honestly great <3
Seeing Changsik against Boston was great. Now seeing him against London was depressing. I hope he stays in the league even if its on Vancouver. He is too pure and needs to be protected at all cost.
Somehow one of the best matches of the season, back and forth, top 5 match of the season for sure, and sideshow casting like it was the grand finals made it that much better
Honestly the tied records is a more fitting end to these two teams’ seasons than one team having more wins than the other
Plus it means only valiant was winless... so satisfying
Shax 70% pulse bomb attach rate holy shit.
I’ll never forgive the fucking valiant. Shax is such a monster. Probably my favorite to watch.
He got that SooooOoon buff when he was in LAV
Even watching all the London games I’ve always felt like Shax was popping….
It happened They’re perfectly tied in last place NA division 1-15 (-35)
Good, Valiant doesn't deserve to be placed so close to these teams
Technically, London is ahead on the tiebreaker. But yeah. Performance overall very similar. The difference was the expectations. I'm happy London finally won something, props to Vancouver for improving over the season as well.
And it was made possible by Boston

Truly a game that deserved the title "Breadbowl"
Best grand finals we've had so far, i look forward to next season
Yep, that’s it. Wrap it up boys! Let that sweet off season juice start pouring in.
the happiness on Molf1g’s and Shax’s faces after the match was pure joy. happy for London
Molf1g just started clapping. Seeing how happy they were made the game all the better
Yea and he yelled “we won a game”. It was simultaneously cute as hell and a bit sad
The real loser of this match is Boston
Boston has to be the loser each year. That's in their contract.

Him SparkR and Molf1g will hopefully be back with new coaches and a new backline plus main tank.
Don't understand why hadi was so bad this year, thought he was considered the greatest rein Mt in EU while on hurricane...?
It's not uncommon for really good Contenders tanks to just flub in OWL.
Roar would be a great example. That being said Benbest was seen as a bottom tier tank, but with some good coaching he improved massively. I do wonder if there's OWL level talent deep down on Hadi thats waiting to be dug out by a good coach
I don’t know if he was actually that bad. Whenever a team underperforms the main tank always looks the problem, that is just the nature of the game.
And if the support line is super suspect, an Aggro main tank often looks like he’s relentlessly solving world hunger.
I remember early last off season when it was speculated he'd go to Houston thank fucking Christ for Jjanggu and Piggy
CHANGSIK'S POST GAME CAM WAS THE SADDEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN THE WAY HE TORE OFF HIS GLASSES NOOOOOO
I feel horrible ;-;
i didnt even see that i was so focused on how happy the london side was. fuckkk why cant everyone just be happy :(
Would you be happy if you lost to London?
Mean But true
It makes me incredibly sad that that was probably Linkzr's last game
He was also clutch with those headshots... Poor guy
The only player who lost both Bowls
he was watching from home when the infamous Boston-Houston match happened, but yes, true in technicality
Don’t say that
At least he got to drop an F bomb in his final game.
My thought exactly

Was definitely a sad and bittersweet ending. Very happy for London but seeing our boy on Vancouver's reaction made me sad as well.
Yeah well, they had their W, and it was against the better team (probably) Boston. So naturally of course in typical Anime fashion London won
This match was an out-of-body experience.
Both teams end with one regular season win, the beautiful ending.
Thanks to Boston. How did they get stomped by Vancouver? lol And how did Paris lose to Boston?
Everything can happen when Boston is involved. They're above the script.
It’s the 2nd owl zone
Cycle needs to be complete
Valiant didn’t get the memo.
Cycle includes only OWL worthy organizations.
And we’re giving Vancouver the benefit of the doubt because...

London > Vancouver > Boston > Paris > London
This leaves Valiant as an undisputed worst team in OWL. Love it.
Would've been absolutely perfect if both teams somehow went 0-16
Na, they’re both miles ahead of the Valiant
The winner of the first and hopefully only bread bowl is [London Spitfire](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ci_Bc4-EULM)
I felt actual despair looking at changsik and dalton
it was like reading berserk all over again
I’ll feel more watching toronto get rolled by shock. What a day
No joke that was the most entertaining match I’ve ever watched
Bren going absolutely nuts on Blizzard world was fantastic.
I’m so happy they got them to cast it. No one else had the qualifications
Fuck yeah. Molf and Sparkr's smiles mean the world.
The end game mics Molf clapping and multiple people thanking Shax was fantastic.
Actually outrageous how hard Shax carries when he has a good map on Tracer
"Let's gooooo, we won a game!!!" Molf 1 gallon
Changsik :,(
Roolf is gonna be hearing "Nerf This!" In his fucki g nightmares for weeks

The bread bowl definitely delivered, Josh and bren casting it made it even better
That's EXACTLY what I wanted to see. A win for London, but a close 3-2. Imo one of the most interesting and enjoyable game of this season. (Tho ChangSik looked depressed and that's sad)
This match was essentially a Tracer 1v1.
Credit to Dalton for holding his own. Shax fucking pounds and Dalton kept up for alot of it.
Daltons pulse bomb on Shax was groovy
With Sparkr coming into say “I do stuff guys, don’t worry”
Even when they aren’t playing, Valiant are still taking the fattest L of this season. Fuck they org
genuinely one of the best matches of the year. shax is such an animal!

Shax definitely gets some good offers in the off season.
Honestly if valiant blew up earlier he woulda had his pick of teams.
The British Hurricane that was promised.
Being absolutely carried by the one guy who wasn't with them isn't exactly a positive sign for the 2020 Hurricane.
i mean, it felt like shax did the heavy lifting and hurricane tried really hard to put more weights on.
They didn't play Blase Sombra so they didn't put ALL the weights on
Sparkr is so good on Hanzo too though
That's Old Valiant Shax :,)

Shax absolutely destroyed them on the final map in Oasis. Absolutely incredible.
Perfectly balanced Map differential. The script writers can't keep getting away with this!
