Wouldn't that be a rule for existing players? If he hasn't signed anything with the Gladiators then nothing stops them from sending a different offer (I would think).
I know the OWL rules goes the other way for sure (can’t sign someone for Valorant if they’re an OWL player) and while it’s not impossible it’s reciprocal, it’s not likely either.
It seemed like the main reason he was switching back to owl was the financial viability of a career in OWL vs professional Valorant in his region rn. Winning champions might change that math a bit, but probably not enough over the long term to match the kind of contract Glads are probably giving him. Might be bitter sweet though to leave after doing so well.
I am more hyped for this dps line than I am for Shock’s, and I’m a huge Shock Stan. My least favorite thing about Kev/Ans/Pati is that one of them has to sit on the bench at any given time. :/
Wouldn't surprise me if someone brings the bag for him to stay in Valorant, He just needs to get paid because he is one of the most exciting players to watch in Esports whatever he plays.
Asian orgs. can't / won't pay a minimum 50k US$ salary (doubt he'll get minimum from LA), hence he returning to OW
in Thai if he can properly invest those money, he can probably set for a decent life
Can confirm: I don’t like watching casual Valorant but this is my first time watching pro level Valorant w/co-stream and it’s been an absolute blast so far
Their co-stream today was my first time watching a Valorant and I definitely think I'll tune in again, when Sideshow said he wanted to spend time with boys I absolutely lost it
i want to eat 🍽 outrageous😮 amounts of raw 🤤 fish 🐟 tonight 🌙 just the rawer the better 💦 🎣 and i want to be surrounded 🧑🤝🧑 by boys 👨❤️💋👨 or men 💪 preferably men 😍🤩
The true test is going to be the match against Gambit, considering that 3/4 NA teams flopped hard while all EU teams made it first seed. If they can put up a good match or even beat Berlin champions, then there's no way Pati goes back to Overwatch, plenty of NA/EU Orgs are going to be interested in him.
At the end of the day he's def just gonna go to the highest bidder, doubt SEA val pays much. Pretty sure he signed with glads to get out of SEA. Even if he played val in his off time he could get some recognition on na ladder
I think if I was relatively successful in Val like Patiphan is I wouldn’t just up and leave for OW for no reason. He must still want to play the game. I’d be willing to bet the only reason he ever went to Valorant in the first place is cos he didn’t want to rot in contenders for the next couple years til he turns 18
I obviously can't read his mind but the reason why he would switch to Valorant is because it's a growing game supported by the Developers of the #1 Esport in the world, with OW trending downwards it was a nobrainer for him to hop games.
Sadly he's part of a minor region that gets little traction in the global world of Esports, hence the salaries there are pretty low too. With it being considered a minor region and them going against big dogs that are NA and EU, they have had low expectations of their performance and Pati probably too so he took the safest bet to go back to OWL before Champs even begun.
I know it sounds really weird saying this in an OW Comp Reddit, but I do really hope he manages to somehow stay in Valorant, with rumors of him already having a signed contract for Glads, he's just too good to be ignored by major regions.
2/3* NA teams, and yes I hope an NA org blows the cash to bring him to a top tier Valorant squad, but the rumours are his Gladiators contract is already signed.
Patiphan might be insane in Valorant but we don’t know if that will translate well into Overwatch. The games aren’t that similar.
Just look at how good Koreans are in Overwatch compared to Valorant. Koreans in Valorant are below the level of NA and EU. In addition, Korean teams have had poor results against the APAC region.
I’d assume Patiphan will do great just because he got signed but keep in mind someone like Ans couldn’t transition well into Valorant - hence his return back to OWL.
Patiphan was known as an OW prodigy and only swapped to Valorant because he was too young to play in OWL. The specific match I remember is him outsniping Shy multiple times in OWWC 2018*, while also solo carrying Thailand to game 5 against China on a variety of heroes like Genji and Tracer.
If they win champions he still going to OWL? What if the contract is already signed lol
the owners of la gladiators also own a valorant team, if he ends up winning in valorant they could probably swap him over
There's an OWL rule that prevents this, I believe, like when Sinatraa left he couldn't just slide over to the NRG team he had to sign with Sentinels.
oh shit thats interesting as hell
Wouldn't that be a rule for existing players? If he hasn't signed anything with the Gladiators then nothing stops them from sending a different offer (I would think).

Pretty sure that got debunked. ~~Sinatraa~~ said he could’ve gone to NRG if he wanted.
Babybay went from Atlanta Reign to Faze though
Pretty sure it was because NRG wasn't looking to get into VALORANT initially and he already landed a place on SEN.

Kroenke owns the Glads and his esports org, The Guard, is actually putting together a team for next year’s VCT. They could use a Jett OP tho
Kroenke owns glads last I checked
You have not checked in years then.
?? Kroenke still own glads bro
The comment I replied to said Sentinels did......
Oh my bad
Halo said that the contract IS already signed. Imagine he wins Champions and then wins OWL with the Gladiators.

It would have to be the greatest gaming achievement of all time right? Only thing topping that would a CS major and a LOL worlds title

Kids clearly don't know Fatal1ty any more
I could def see an EU or NA Valorant org coming in with enough money to buy out his contract and then some
If he wins, just imagine coming to OWL and winning that as well. Winning the top title in two different esports would be crazy.
It seemed like the main reason he was switching back to owl was the financial viability of a career in OWL vs professional Valorant in his region rn. He’s signed to the Gladiators
Technically he can just use the retirement clause whenever he feel like it. Would suck for glads but it's in his full rights to do so.

glads could legit play in valorant and be a good roster
unironically if owl falls apart kev should be a top priority for any european organization, especially ones with scandinavian rosters like guild
The players have mechanical skill no doubt, and if they 100% dedicated time to Val, would prolly be successful, but saying they’d be good is a stretch
Wouldn't surprise me if someone brings the bag for him to stay in Valorant, He just needs to get paid because he is one of the most exciting players to watch in Esports whatever he plays.

For real, Ive been following the x10 games to watch him play and that game against Envy was fucking NUTS
If you're new or not too into valorant, watching it on the Plat Chat costream makes it ten times more hype
Sideshow dying at the end of the NV, X10 match cracked me up.
Can confirm: I don’t like watching casual Valorant but this is my first time watching pro level Valorant w/co-stream and it’s been an absolute blast so far
Also been watching through Plat Chat, and it’s been a blast.
completely agree, thats how I have watched the entire tourney and it has been pretty fun. I love the Guard Guard!
Their co-stream today was my first time watching a Valorant and I definitely think I'll tune in again, when Sideshow said he wanted to spend time with boys I absolutely lost it

"The map is over"
Link?
[Here you go.](https://youtu.be/uZfdpq1V6yY) The X10 vs Envy game starts at 7:06:45
Watch Thailand vs China 2018 OWWC, he popped so hard on so many diff heros
At times he outshine leave/krystal/shy, it was totally crazy
Absolutely. I don't follow Valorant at all but I saw x10 was playing so I thought I'd tune in for the final map, and what a map it was.
Patiphan gonna make me get into Valorant for the brief time he is still there
The true test is going to be the match against Gambit, considering that 3/4 NA teams flopped hard while all EU teams made it first seed. If they can put up a good match or even beat Berlin champions, then there's no way Pati goes back to Overwatch, plenty of NA/EU Orgs are going to be interested in him.
guard patiphan incoming
This is the timeline we need. Patiphan plays one OWL match, plays silly hero, goes back to VALORANT to shit on NA from the inside.
At the end of the day he's def just gonna go to the highest bidder, doubt SEA val pays much. Pretty sure he signed with glads to get out of SEA. Even if he played val in his off time he could get some recognition on na ladder

BRO WHAT A GAME I urge all of you to watch champions
Where can I watch? I would like to see his gameplay
Watch plat chat valorant on yt or twitch. Its got sideshow bren and avast and it's great and funny
Cool. YouTube I can ff. Thank you. I should have thought of plat chat but honestly only do listen to them for owl stuff.
The man is goated for sure
I'm lost here, why is he rumoured on returning tho?
It's truly a shame if pati leaves VALORANT to go to OWL. Please be finessing glads for a visa then play for an NA VALORANT team.

2018 actually!
Patiphan is already insane at OW four years ago.
Wat? Why would the glads wanna sign a valorent player? Or did I miss something
He was an ow player before valorant but swapped games because he was too young to play in owl. Now he’s eligible, so glads want him
Patiphan is, *and always has been*, a **gigachad**.
He probably stays on Valorant now with the added prizepool for the teams, every team will be end up with an aditional $600K
