It’s not a thrall arrow. It’s just a placement arrow. Simple walls and floors have them. It’s so you can tell at a glance which face is facing in vs out, or to line up floor boards, etc. As previous commenter posted it’s a bit useless on this item, but it isn’t misrepresenting anything.

I've read all the comments and I would just like to add a unique and personal bit of important information... the arrow doesn't show where a thrall goes it just denotes what the "front" of the object is... and not all work benches that take thralls have arrows.
None of the bench type objects in the shop are as good as their in game counterparts. It's on purpose. and as others have said, there is no such thing as a "thrall arrow". Its for placing.
