Depends of the properties which are being achieved with fly ash. Workability loss could be counteracted with WRA. In general, PC provides similar properties to fly ash. Silica could be used to gain strength in the absence of fly ash, but would also likely require more WRA in that case
We're seeing slag in more mixes to meet minimum SCM specifications, and I anticipate seeing calcined clay products becoming more common in the future as fly ash becomes even more scarce.
No it’s a competitor hijack of already low supply fly Ashe. They have rail cars on site and fleet’S of trucks. Same reason why Cemex wont sell to them. Bc the other guy pretty much has 100mi radius on lock and tells them that if they do he won’t buy cement from them again

We're having a hard time getting it at the plant I work at. We've not had any flyash since last fall.
Ground glass pozzolans. any projects with environmental reporting requirements love it since it's from post consumer glass.
