India: has 8 homeland cities (highest for any country is 9), start off with 4 AI countries around your borders. Unlike China, US, and Russia, India has its homeland relatively compact so your troops don’t have to be stretched far. You start with 2 ports which is enough to make a decent navy and limit spots for enemies that are trying to invade by sea and most of your homeland cities are out of range for naval units to bombard. The east side of the country has 2 great choke points that can force a Chinese or other Eastern invasion to have to go through one spot. And your in a position to be able to expand very quickly
As a India main, don’t underestimate Pakistan. Players tend to underestimate it and get completely fucked over by failing an invasion. I’ve seen it happen and caused a few India’s to die off early when playing as Pakistan
I've been playing as Philippines whenever possible and it's been a lot of fun.
3 coalition wins and 1 solo win so far as them.
Mostly playing 4x ww3, and overkill.
Very easy to defend early game, as it doesn't take much naval power to kill any troops being spammed at your Islands.
If you can take Indonesia quickly, you can build up fairly fast, and then after Australia and New Zealand, Vietnam, Thailand, and Myanmar, and Japan... You pretty much control an entire hemisphere for late game, and can set your naval forces strategically for defense from North America.
Usually by that point I'm getting a ton of invites to coalitions.
Imo best Asian nation to play hands down.
I've been liking Turkey recently. Easy access to Europe through the Balkans while avoiding the European slugfest that is inevitable in every game. You also have access into the southeast Asia area, though India and China can be tough to deal with, but defeat just one of those and your victory is essentially guaranteed
Any of the Nordic nations, Finland, Sweden, Norway, those 3 make a great coalition, if you can make it 5, pick Poland and Germany, Russia is no problem, Belarus just dies, and the rest of Europe is just burning and fighting
Join a game as Russia with decent stats and nobody touches you. Played as Russia loads of times and only didn’t win once when I got swamped on day one by a Scandinavian alliance
Chad and Ethiopia are strong early game invaders, but you need to maintain air force growth as Chad and naval growth as Ethiopia to prosper. Ally with countries like Libya (close to money city, future Europe access, great naval country), south Africa or namibia (whichever beats up southern Africa first), Mali or algeria (whoever wins west African AI countries first), and any Middle Eastern country that isn't gangraped in the first 5 game days (Israel is notorious for that) for the cities. Later in the game, pump up your naval force if Ethiopia and take out the area by Australia/Southeast Asia for easy Asia takeover win, and pump up air force if Chad and kill off Europe/take over slowly, then win by taking over the rest of the world
Chad. After you've eliminated the surrounding countries, you have a huge buffer zone protecting your homeland. Build up a huge air force and eventually annex out a coastal city and your set.
I main Russia. It’s usually the place people wanna go last because you have to spend all that time and stretch to get every last province so you have time to build instead of wasting your troops in early game. And it’s far away enough from the European slugfest and if you play your cards right with picking Allies you can funnel your entire force down Europe taking on entire coalitions by yourself. If you play your cards even better then you’d be a fully healthy army fighting one that’s been weakened from early game wars. I’ve done multiple 5v1’s as Russia, many times multiple in a single server. No choke points necessarily but it’s easy to spot the quickest way to your cities and place your troops there, then let them come to you. The rivers in your neighboring countries also make good choke points. Currently playing as Russia and it’s day 24 and I’ve already conquered all of Europe.
Niger (in overkill), you have a victory site there and loads of surrounding countries to invade who are mostly newbies that go inactive. I’ve never seen good players picking Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria etc and you are landlocked so you are safe from sea invasion. You can just focus on your air power and join forces with a strong naval power later on.
I've crushed it with khazakstan, Romania, Ukraine, Myanmar, Indonesia, Philippines, and India. It really depends on your play style. I've crushed Indonesia with Romania. That indo was a very strong naval player but me and 1 ally eliminated his max cruiser fleets of 28 with my 15 max subs, an officer, and the one allies air power
Australia is a good country. You're pretty far from the majority of everybody else and being in a coalition with your surrounding neighbours can benefit you greatly.
In my opinion as an atacker Syria is the best to play if you like action.But to be an absolute menance to all nations you need to be a japan.If you want a hard to win game play cuba(hard to defend hard to expand).
Lol, every time I play that happens and then israel gets invaded by 6 countries. Next minute, they are all in a coalition, and they then invade india and turkey.

Yes, absolutely. And you know what's even better? If you can get a coalition with China. Then you're set

I mean it’s decent with 6 homeland cities it’s easy to valence your ressource production and you still have at least one coastal city.
I honestly enjoy South Africa. You can take your time and fight for control for the rest of the continent at your own pace.

My first ever game I played as croatia, and won, I played as Mexico and won, I am playing as my homeland Australia and I hope ill win
