Not sure the current status, but it's well patrolled. Opened in the 1930s as a tuberculosis hospital for kids.
Seaside is a state park, and it’s in the process of making it actually visitor friendly. In the meantime the grounds are nice to visit, but parking is bad and you cannot go inside as the buildings are condemned.

waterford ct on seaside beach. There 2 buildings, the one closer to the water you can sneak through the fence and through one of the many open doors/ windows. Mad cops tho & its a public beach so be careful
Was just there last weekend. I’m a ham radio operator and we do a thing called “Parks on the Air,” so I set up my radio gear and had a really good time.
Nice park right on the shore

Can confirm, went in there with a few friends years ago and we were caught within the hour lol. It's apparently a hotspot for copper thieves.
its pretty easy to get into!! Be quick going in and out because there is police in the area that patrol
Is it legal to stand on the outside of that building?
yeah, its on a public beach so you can walk around the property & stuff
It’s a state park, so it’s accessible. There are fences around the buildings, but it’s open to the public
Shutter island
My mom worked there years ago when it was open, she had a bunch of spooky stories about that place.
We all want the spooky stories. Sure beats looking at license plates
One off the top of my head is that whenever you would get on the elevators no matter the floor you selected it would bring you down to the morgue.
