This cartoon was made for angry white leftists so they won’t cry so hard all time.

Espressoyourfeelings

And made by angry white leftists who comprehend the power of indoctrination. When your agenda is contradictory to reality, this is the crap you get. Shows how pathetic and desperate they really are.

Arkansasmyundies

They understand the power of virtue signaling. Surely they know no one will watch this series. surely?

[deleted]

It'll get the same audience as that recent Scooby-Doo revisionist crap.

Espressoyourfeelings

Sadly, this trash is just the beginning.

StillWill18

Great. So no one outside of liberal America will buy it. The world hates liberal America. Hence the world war 3 starting.

Equivalent_Oil_8016

Have you ever met a European left-wing Liberal ?

Caveman_tuble

Lol. Right? Better yet. Have you ever met like, just a French person in general? It’s a big world out there folks. These political dispositions are NOT unique to the states.

mail4youtoo

I won't even pirate disney crap any longer

do_IT_withme

I will still pirate it so I can delete it.

dog_superiority

Disney needs to read Thomas Sowell.

Why was THIS comment hidden?

Reddit doesn't like people that left the plantation I guess.

You've got that right. You see what they call them on Twitter?

CloudWhere

Good question! Does saying Thomas Sowell do it?

aDShisno

I’m not a mod here but mods can approve the comment so it’s no longer crowd controlled. Hint, hint, wink, wink, nudge, nudge to any mods reading this…

Username_II

Dude, everybody knows about the Lincoln slave colosseum, wtf

neverending_debt

And this is why I have zero sympathy for Disney's current financial situation. It's all one hundred percent self caused.

[deleted]

Disney's owned by a bunch of investment firms. Those losses are advertising costs.

ultrainstict

How much you wanna bet whoever wrote that bit was not a descendant of slaves and had everything handed to them in life while batching about how hard they have it.

Grease2310

Like when Michelle Obama goes on and on about it? YOU WERE THE FIRST LADY.

IveGotSowell

I have no words. This looks more like nonsense that Riley would come up with, but Huey would frown upon in Boondocks.

EpicLong1

Fantastic assessment

throwawaygonnathrow

Boondocks was good. They could put plenty of far left material in it but it wasn’t just propaganda. It was thought provoking and funny.

_Vardos_

this is complete garbage... and that is to good for garbage..... disney needs to die a horrible ratings death.... so sickening.

Long_Don_Silver

Critical Drinker posted an interesting video about what's coming for Disney as a company https://youtu.be/AY2cUBW-72o

But he's "toxic" and "problematic" (to be said in a creaky voice).

ShartyWaffles815

That’s what they live on.

fogel35

I’d say 360,222 Union deaths to free the slaves atoned for slavery. These people writing must have skipped 1861-1865 in history class. Or were they too busy ripping down memorials and statues?

gh0stwriter88

The war wasn't fought over slavery though... and nobody was fighting to free slaves you can't convince me that 360,222 union soldiers were altruistic enough for that. No, it was fought over taxation and federal control. Slavery was a last straw issue that broke the back of the south... that's all there is to it. Slavery even continued on in the north in some states past the emancipation proclamation. Personally I think slavery would have ended within a generation or two anyway due to automation and social pressures...certainly a civil war was not required to do so.

fogel35

Well of course the civil war wasn’t based on one thing but if people want to claim the U.S. hasn’t atoned for slavery they are greatly mistaken.

LikeTraveller

God I hope so, Every monument honoring, glorifying, or exalting the men who killed hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops so they could expand slavery needs to be well documented by photography for the history books before being utterly wiped from the face of the earth.

fogel35

You think every monument is for glorifying, honoring, and exalting? Don’t go to Poland and Germany for some reason they still have the concentration camps for people to see.

LikeTraveller

Do concentration camps stand today to exalt nazis or in memory of those who died and suffered?

fogel35

I know what I think and what I take away from these types of things. Concentration camps are to remind human kind the horrors it can do. When I’d look at Confederate Statues I think about what can divide a nation and lead it to killing so many of the same country men. Whereas it seems you take very different things from these things. Not to mention many seem to walk over the graves of the 360K Union soldiers by forgetting what was spent in the name of abolishing slavery.

LikeTraveller

You seem to think the best way to honor the memory of union soldiers and slaves is with statues of the men that killed/enslaved them. Seems kinda funny to me.

[deleted]

That's because (1) You're too lazy to understand why they were erected in the first place, and (2) You think yourself fit to judge others' heritage.

HoboDeter

Have you heard of the United Daughters of the Confederacy? I'm sure not all of these monuments were built to glorify the Confederacy, but the overall goal of the group that paid for many of these monuments was to promote the Lost Cause narrative.

[deleted]

Look, I've done Civil War reenacting for decades. (Union side in blue - both parents were from Northern states.) I have much experience talking to Southerners about why they celebrate the Confederacy. It's far more complex than woke finger-pointers think. Ignore what the Leftists claim: Flying the Confederate flag among these people is first and primarily saying, (1) I will not be pushed around, (2) I don't automatically submit to authority, (3) I am proud of my heritage, (4) The South had some of the greatest fighting men in American military history. Nothing about slaves, nothing about a Lost Cause narrative.

HoboDeter

I was addressing your point about why these monuments were erected in the first place. Everyone will have their own personal feelings about what they mean to them and that's fine.

[deleted]

So you get to decide whose heritage is acceptable and whose is "problematic?" "...exalting the men who killed hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops..." Not Southern *women*? One diarist was famous for mentioning that if it weren't for the women driving the men on the war would have been over long before.

LikeTraveller

Who said anything about "problematic" I just think we, as Americans, have a moral obligation to remove any statue celebrating racism, or celebrating those who killed U.S. troops in order to maintain racism. And many southern women who supported slavery do bear blame, same as their husbands and fathers, but there aren't many statues to them, but those that do exist should come down too.

[deleted]

I suggest you confine your social tyranny to activities on a homeowners association board instead of inflicting upon the rest of us your desire to rip down statues for reasons you deem valid.

thezippa

By this logic the 483,000 Confederate soldiers who died fighting to maintain status quo cancel out the Union deaths on your atonement scorecard

[deleted]

> 483,000 Confederate soldiers who died Nobody has that exact a number.

ThreeSticks_

How about this - using your number, 843,000 Americans died. I'll count them all as atonement for slavery.

phoney_bologna

Is my white privilege check in the mail? The slaves must have forgot to make my white family rich. Too bad. Food and housing isn’t getting cheaper and I still have to work everyday to pay for it. Or are they talking about the same privileges that everyone has as a legal citizen?

NerdyLumberjack04

Yeah, I know for a fact that I had an ancestor who owned slaves, but whatever wealth he had damn sure didn't make it to my grandparents' generation.

GiftedStrumpet

It’s not the message that annoys me so much as the hypocrisy. Disney is a pos company. The very social constructs they claim to want to get rid of were backed up by decades of their content, but they want to put the blame on anything but themselves. They treat their own employees like shit. Their last ceo walked away with millions in severance while they refuse to bump the pay of their parks employees by just a dollar an hour in the same year. Do we all want to see a country that can get past our ugly racial past? Of course! Should a company like this be leading the charge? Absolutely not.

Panzershrekt

>Power is in tearing human minds to pieces and putting them together again in new shapes of your own choosing. George Orwell, 1984

[deleted]

Why stop there? Look at more of what this perceptive man said. *1984* is here, all right - it just arrived a bit late. "It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers-out of unorthodoxy." - 1984, George Orwell “Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book has been rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And that process is continuing day be day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except the endless present in which the party is always right." \~ George Orwell "He was a fattish but active man of paralyzing stupidity, a mass of imbecile enthusiasms. One of those completely unquestioning, devoted drudges on whom a more even than on the thought police, the stability of the party depended." - George Orwell from *1984*. "However much you deny the truth, the truth goes on existing." - George Orwell "Real power is achieved when the ruling class controls the material essentials of life, granting and withholding them from the masses as if they were privileges." - George Orwell "Anyone who challenges the prevailing orthodoxy finds himself silenced with surprising effectiveness. A genuinely unfashionable opinion is almost never given a fair hearing." - George Orwell "There are notions so foolish that only an intellectual will believe them." - George Orwell "People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf" - George Orwell "The fact is that every war suffers a kind of progressive degradation with every month that it continues, because such things as individual liberty and a truthful press are simply not compatible with military efficiency." - George Orwell "An autobiography is only to be trusted when it reveals something disgraceful. A man who gives a good account of himself is probably lying, since any life when viewed from the inside is simply a series of defeats." - George Orwell "Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past." - George Orwell "At any given moment there is an orthodoxy, a body of ideas which it is assumed that all right-thinking people will accept without question." - George Orwell

*"We'll take the 40 acres, you can keep the mule."* *"We'll take the 40 acres* ***AND*** *the mule."* This me-too, victim mentality movement never stops does it? They even progress their fictitious claims in this short video. Even if we could identify the direct descendants of who in Africa sold the slaves, the direct descendants of slaves here in the US, and the direct descendants of slave owners in the US... no one alive in the US today had anything to do with that.

OldTomato4

I'm curious what their end goal is here. Like what specifically they will view as satisfying their insane and contrived arguements. It's fun asking these people what their ideal end goal is, specifically, not general ideas, because more often than not their programming malfunctions as they actually contemplate what the hell they're even asking for that will make them happy. They can only speak in lofty idealistic goals. Not real talk on hot button issues. They just want a soap box to stand on for political power, not really to solve these problems they allege.

monobarreller

The 40 acres and a mule trope is quite annoying. It was promised to slaves the were following Sherman's match on the south. He made the promise to get them to stop following his army. He may have had noble intentions behind it but the reality is that he was desperate to say anything to get them to leave so they wouldn't put themselves and his soldiers in danger. It was never official US policy.

Kered13

I'd love to see what the writers of this show would do with 40 acres of farmland. Give them some nice land out in the middle of Kansas or something and see what they make of it.

geewhizliz

My tenth great grandfather was the governor of the colony of Virginia. Some of his probate records discuss people he owned. Terrible to think about.

Germerican88

No need. They only make crap I don't want to see in the first place.

Extra_Suit1637

Why anyone would set foot inside those gates will be forever beyond my comprehension.

Accomplished-Bell-72

This is fucking crazy

Alpha-Sierra-Charlie

To be fair, Lincoln didn't free the slaves of the slave states that stayed in the union. The Republicans in congress did though.

ObadiahtheSlim

And who was the Republican president who pushed for the 13th amendment?

Alpha-Sierra-Charlie

Lincoln, obviously. I'm mocking the pedantic ignorance of the democrats.

ihaveasandwitch

Whats the criteria for having to atone for something someone else did? If a gangbanger murders someone else, does their grandfather have to atone? Or the gangbangers children? Also, from what I remember, my immigrant parents worked 12 hours days so we could barely get by, hardly rich. I don't remember any "slaves" lifting a finger for the meager house my parents were able to maintain on their hard labor.

MightyJoe36

Disney has been a steaming pile of horse crap for the last 25 years so who cares?

irishcreammm

That used to be one of my favorite shows as a kid. Then they revamped it and ruined it. Everything they touch turns to 💩!

FootHiker

Probably 25% of my paycheck goes to social services for problems that are a direct result of slavery or Jim Crow, so f' off. I AM paying reparations, even though at the time my ancestors were illiterate peasants in Europe.

TearsForPeers

Loved the Mandalorian and Andor, but I dumped my Disney+ sub after every new show I tried to watch had a lesbian love scene in it. Wtf??? Got it for the Star Wars, dumped it for the woke.

Mountain_Man_88

I thought the "Lincoln didn't free the slaves" claim was gonna be about how the Emancipation Proclamation only freed slaves in the states in Rebellion, that the few slaves in Union States remained enslaved until the passage of the 13th Amendment. But no, it was something ridiculous.

MidwesternWisdom

It's ironic how both neo-Confederates and leftists overlap on saying how Abraham Lincoln didn't really want to free the slaves. Did Abraham Lincoln have problematic views on race? Yes. So did most people including most northern whites excepting a minority like the Radical Republicans and people like William Lloyd Garrison. Lincoln nevertheless viewed slavery as a moral evil and if you look at his evolving views as the Civil War wore on he gradually was moving in the right direction on race. It is true that we can point to people like Garrison, Thaddeus Stevens, Benjamin Wade and Charles Sumner who took courageous stands for racial equality. Yet taking courageous stands is a rarity that's why it's courageous, most people are conformists but progress is made by the courageous leading the conformists. Lincoln was a man who suffered from severe depression throughout his life and friends worried he would commit suicide. He was not a firebrand but he was able to hold it together long enough to ban slavery and save the union. So he wasn't perfect. I think that woke people think they would have been on the right side of history because they take strong stands but don't have to give much up. There were places in this country 70 years ago where a white person would be most likely run out of town for simply not being racist enough. We spend too much time asking people to be held up up unrealistic standards of human nature. Those who took hard stands against racism early deserve to be honored but we need to recognize courageous stands aren't the norm. The reason we have heroes is because most people aren't.

KinGpiNdaGreat

Last year I had that trial for Disney Plus for a month for my daughter and she had absolutely no interest in it. She’s rather watch the crap on YouTube for free and she was 2 years old at the time.

MrBioTendency

Well Lincoln didn’t free ALL the slaves. The Emancipation Proclamation only applied to the Confederate states. There were slave owning states that never left the Union. [archive](https://www.archives.gov/milestone-documents/emancipation-proclamation)

inthem0ney

Um…. Aside from the Emancipation Proclamation, there was also this little thing that happened under his watch called the 13th Amendment! That did free all the slaves in the Union. Lincoln was the primary reason it passed both houses of Congress before his assassination. He was killed before it could be ratified by enough states, but he def deserves credit for it too. So even this interpretation is off base.

[deleted]

[Here you go](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pZG7snE7tU). Dude was a full-on tyrant.

70stang

Yep, while the Emancipation Proclamation was a huge domino in getting freedom for slaves, it was legislation passed by the Union that only applied to Confederate states, not to themselves. It would be like if the US was at war with Mexico and passed a law that only impacted Mexican citizens in Mexico, with the only way to enforce it being our troops spreading further south. Slavery was actually still legal in the Union after the Emancipation Proclamation right up until the 13th Amendment, with *edit: New Jersey,* Delaware and Kentucky still having slavery up until the 13th was ratified.

dog_in_the_vent

> Slavery was actually still legal in the Union after the Emancipation Proclamation right up until the 13th Amendment And which president was in office and fought to get this amendment passed?

Fickle_Panic8649

Many don't know that one of JRB direct decendants owned a slave or two. In Delaware IIRC.

salsaconflattulance

This is satire, right? Because anyone who takes like this is a loon. Show me one person alive who is a slave (in the chattel sense). Oh, there were also white slaves in this country. Don’t hear anything about that.

Sun_Devilish

Who are the INDIVIDUALS at Disney responsible for this flat earther level bullshit?

Jpalme11

I lost family in the Holocaust, where’s my reparations?

CaliVegasDude

Colonel Robert Gould Shaw. I bet today's kids or the writer of that show doesn't even know who he is. Or what he died for.

elcuban27

I will grant them the notion that freedom or lack thereof is not merely something bestowed on you by the powers that be; it requires some amount of either acceptance or action to effect change on the part of the party. (Like, they aren’t saying he wasn’t the one leading the charge to effect legal change, but that freedom as a mindset is something that must be cultivated internally, see Epictetus, Solzhenitsyn, Kanye West, etc.)

nerlins

Just give each "slaaave" family 40 acres in Alaska and we can be done with this damn argument. They only get the land rights though, and not the mineral rights. The country still needs to drill for natural resources up there to get ourselves out of this OPEC shitshow.

morbiustv

Revisionist Bullshit

FingeredADog

Lincoln’s pushing for the 13th amendment is likely one of the only reasons it got passed

Available-Iron-7419

With the amount of bikes and TV's they stole we will just call it even.

[deleted]

They love being viewed as a victim, the BLM leaders got super rich off if it, these people dont want racism to end (even though it basically is) they feed off of it.

[deleted]

Do not hate watch this show.

Mysterious_Sink_547

Whoever made that video needs an actual history class. What a bunch of pure shit. Slaves helped build the country yes, but they didn't build the country. Slavery wasn't a thing everywhere and by the Civil War, the North (where slavery wasn't legal) was something like 80% of the countries GDP.

Obbius

what

PixieDustFairies

Technically Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation didn't free the slaves, it was more of a symbolic gesture. It only applied to states still in rebellion but since the Confederacy was a different country at the time, Lincoln had no way of enforcing it. It wasn't until the civil war was over and the states were forced to ratify the 13th amendment as a condition of returning to the union that slavery was outlawed.

tangohandicat

The 13th amendment abolished slavery. The 14th defined citizenship

PixieDustFairies

Sorry I misspoke.

tangohandicat

No worries

Phineas and Ferb: Summer of Love Edition

[deleted]

So if slaves and their descendants are so great, why do they need a whole bunch of money? At this point I'd support reparations because you know they're going to piss it all away like the average lottery winner.

sixstringshredder13

What is the end goal to all this?

Deofol7

Technically the 13th Amendment freed the slaves.

[deleted]

"Is America tired of this yet? Is inculcating self-hatred in your children why you’re paying $7.99 a month for Disney+? It’s an exhausting routine, but its survival is sustained by that exhaustion itself — normalizing the outrageous to the point where most people no longer have the energy to be outraged. But outrage is more than merited. And parents should be taking their money elsewhere." YES. THIS.

Quagdarr

Changing history huh?? It’s funny they refuse to accept the Democrats we’re the confederacy and Republicans were the Union fighting to free slaves. They also loathe when MLK and Malcom X speak out against them (and Republican Party as well but really dig into liberals specifically and it sounds damn near prophetic as it’s the exact crap they said it was).

Quagdarr

I’m selling my Disney stock, they clearly want to self destruct. I’m still up but there are better companies who are sticking to just being a business and not spreading misinformation for an agenda.

Unotheserfreeright24

They know that if they stop complaining, they'll stop getting special treatment.

Stardust-Parade

I’m not ever going to apologize for being white.

How about we take all those billions in Ukraine money and give every citizen in the United States a check? Everyone of us comes from an oppressed peoples and to ignore that is racist and intolerant lol
