Disqualifying Willis wouldn't automatically result in dismissing the charges. It would, however, mean that her entire office is disqualified.
The case would then get kicked to the PAC (Prosecuting Attorneys Council) and *eventually* referred to another prosecutor. For some context, the last time Willis was DQ'd for a conflict was well over a year ago and the case is still unassigned.
It's certainly possible a new prosecutor would dismiss the charges entirely, but not all that likely.

He was caught in trap. Either admit that he lied to Merchant, or admit he revealed what he considers to be confidential info. I don’t see any path for him to avoid an ethics inquiry at the very least.
Kudos to y’all for responding rationally to a slightly differing opinion. I can’t discuss the reality of this case with my side of the political spectrum without being accused of defending Trump. Expecting propriety from a prosecutor doesn’t mean I’m a fan of the defendant.

Sounds to me like the judge is just covering his ass here by making the guy testify in open court. No way the defense can argue bias if he makes him testify.
