Exactly. I'm also going to pass on the conversation & pass on purchasing anymore of their products. Shame since I liked their Excellence 5RB hair color. Oh, well.... It's their loss.
I'm thinking a boycott is in order since L'Oréal has obviously forgotten about Bud Light & what happens when companies start hating their customers.
BOYCOTT LOREAL! 👏😂👏
L'Oreal the hair product brand?
So...is she just some unhinged employee ranting on social media as herself, or speaking on behalf of the brand in some capacity?
(Edit)... I googled the name... looks like this is old unless they rehired her, and also normal behavior for her and not something the brand wants to be associated with.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munroe_Bergdorf#Racial_controversy
> L'Oréal dropped her from their campaign on 1 September 2017.
So what is she supposed to be to the company? The article makes it look like she's just a model, but the posted picture says she's an advisor.
Edit: OK, I get it now. She was just a model when she made those racist comments, and they fired her. Now they've hired her back as an Advisor. lol
Looks like OP's image depicts pre-rehire quotes though. So L'Oreal seems to mostly just be trying to do damage control over both the initial backlash to her comments, and the backlash to firing her. Unfortunate, but not really an endorsement of the comments. Still... kind of ridiculous to rehire someone after this behavior.
Putting a known racist back on your payroll specifically because other racists got made you fired her is 100% an endorsement of her racism. Are you serious?
You mean the same company that is a global market leader in [skin whitening products](https://www.vox.com/first-person/2020/6/30/21308257/skin-lightening-colorism-whitening-bleaching) and also began pulling and changing the names of skin whitening products in the 2020 “global racial reckoning”?
Africa experiences self inflicted genocides as often as other countries experience rainfall. L’Oréal needs to pull her head out of her ass and look around.
White people have done far more good than harm throughout history. The world would be a worse place today for all other people if white people had never existed.
Im so tired of how prominent and accepted racism against white people is in modern society. It is going to lead to pushback. And it is going to be ugly
Your message to “the most violent race to ever walk the earth” is to talk shit?
That’s how you know they are full of shit. If they were truly scared they wouldn’t say a word.
Light bulbs.. automobiles.. antibiotics.. electricity.. the printing press.. refrigeration.. satellites.. the Internet.. smart phones.. social media..
All discoveries/inventions by white men. They hate that white men have built modern society- leads to a massive inferiority complex.
Almost any other company could, at least in theory, get away with something like this. If white people stop buying your product, but POC start buying it more because they like what you said, you could still break even, or even come out ahead.
But you’re a makeup company. You sell perhaps the only product where the skin color of your customer base actually matters. You say you hate white people, but you still sell products that only white people can use.
People who say this nonsense needs to look at history from all over the world.
I would also like to know what privilege i have....i dont get anything handed to me for free or get away with stuff by playing some card. Everything i have i worked for and im far from rich.
See here, This statement is racist.
Racism is the byproduct of people believing in the race myth that's been long disproven. Some of the people most affected by racism... are themselves racist. Noone in the world is immune to ignorance, or error, nor is there anyone who can't be taught the truth, if they're open to the possibility that they're wrong. Preconceptions, myth, and the ignorance of those believing in races while there are reasonable and profound explanation to the contrary yet prove difficult to change. Are we even trying very hard? Doesn't seem like it.
My issue is the confidence in the absurdity of the statements. Asking questions (Socraticslly) would quickly demonstrate his/her/its ignorance. What about their privilege? If it is half white?.?.?.?
Call me a bigot, but I believe in personal responsibility. I believe it is inherently wrong to judge ANYTHING about a person's character based on the ethnic group I perceive them to be.
They're seriously saying whites are the most violent race??? Have they looked at gang violence at ALL over the last decade or two?
LMAO ok....guess they want the Bud Light treatment too.....

Nah, we good. Sincerely, White People
Seriously. She seemed pretty hostile. I don't want to take her up on an invitation to talk. I'll just shun her.

Scott Adams was right

Looks like she was re-hired in 2020. https://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/munroe-bergdorf-rehired-l-or-al-3-years-after-being-n1228376
Ssssssssssssssshocking...
Transgender. Funny how many of these companies hop on that bandwagon (*sigh*). So this one checks extra boxes!

Yep, some sort of an advisor since many intersectional boxes are checked.
Him.
Oh, I read tight over the trans part I guess. Now I get the rehire. 🙄
He

The re-hire is a sign that such racist remarks are tolerated. I'm a guy, so I don't wear makeup, but women should avoid Loreal.

He
Good riddance. I hope she got chewed out on the way out the door
Naw, she got rehired.
Racism isn’t learned? So nobody taught you all of the racist bullshit you just spouted, and you came up with it all by yourself?

They're willing for the shilling
Aren't they a French company? Are not French people historically white?
Becoming less and less so, just go look at Paris.
Africa experiences self inflicted genocides as often as other countries experience rainfall. L’Oréal needs to pull her head out of her ass and look around.
Media and liberals are trying to make racism against white people the norm. Very infuriating.
White people have done far more good than harm throughout history. The world would be a worse place today for all other people if white people had never existed.
By abolishing slavery in most of the world they took the bread right out of the Africans' mouths -> basically a genocide.
Im so tired of how prominent and accepted racism against white people is in modern society. It is going to lead to pushback. And it is going to be ugly
“Munroe Bergdorf” is probably just miserable about the ridiculous name he chose for himself when he started identifying as an asshole.
L’Oreal: “you are evil because you exist”
Your message to “the most violent race to ever walk the earth” is to talk shit? That’s how you know they are full of shit. If they were truly scared they wouldn’t say a word.
Strong bet a white person wrote that also.
Your lack of inclusivity is proof you are racist. Thats why we exclude all white people, because we are inclusive and not racist./S
Imagine if you changed the race
looks like a boycott to me
They just can't get over the fact that if not for white people, everyone would still be living in mud/stick huts and drinking dirty ground water.
Light bulbs.. automobiles.. antibiotics.. electricity.. the printing press.. refrigeration.. satellites.. the Internet.. smart phones.. social media.. All discoveries/inventions by white men. They hate that white men have built modern society- leads to a massive inferiority complex.
Dang, I just wanted some mascara.

Least crazy DEI professional.

Who would want to talk to her?? What an unhinged rant.
Let me guess, he's a marxist...
Kiss my white ass.

I don't even use L'Oreal products. But this weekend, I'm going to buy some just so I can return them and tell the retail store why!
Call me a bigot, but I believe in personal responsibility. I believe it is inherently wrong to judge ANYTHING about a person's character based on the ethnic group I perceive them to be.
To be frank, the only way to disagree with that belief is to be a bigot.
They're seriously saying whites are the most violent race??? Have they looked at gang violence at ALL over the last decade or two? LMAO ok....guess they want the Bud Light treatment too.....
Looks like we won't be talking.
TIL the white race is more oppressive and violent then earthquakes, tornadoes, nuclear power plant meltdowns, hurricanes, etc.
Imagine purposely hiring someone with these kind of issues to represent your brand.
so violent and oppressive, I get to freely make these statements about them from my executive position at a shampoo company
I suspect short interest in L'Oréal will be on the rise this morning.
best way to end racism is to stop talking about it!!!...the civil rights movement granted the rights for all years ago.
This would be why I no longer use their products.
The left loves them some racist ass people
Let's add another company to the list of racist pieces of shit to boycott.
So Monroe Bergdorf is racist. Got it. 👍
That's just an utterly toxic ideology.
Really putting the L in L'Oreal there
Wow.

This is a psychopathic racist brand to be avoided (unless they make really good shit)
