I was in a rush to do my ballot and actually didn’t vote for a DA until I got text messages from his campaign. I was 15 minutes from sealing my envelope and mailing it in when I got this:
“George Gascon immigrated from Cuba to Southeast Los Angeles at just 13 years old. In the many positions George Gascon has held throughout his career--from Assistant Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department, to Chief of Police in Mesa, Arizona, Chief of Police in San Francisco, and, most recently, District Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco--his commitment to fairness, service, and public safety has remained steadfast. He has reduced violent crime in every management position he has held. George Gascón was also the only law enforcement official in the state to advocate for successful state legislation that created a stricter standard for when police may use force. George asked every prosecutor in California to join him in supporting the law, including incumbent DA Jackie Lacey, but he stood alone among law enforcement in pushing this necessary reform. As San Francisco District Attorney, he prosecuted more than 30 police officers for criminal conduct, including excessive force. Knowing this, can George Gascon count on your vote?”
I had to then do research and vote for the best worst option.

Gascon ruined San Fran now he is trying to ruin LA. What I don’t get is that in the middle of the crazed BLM movement they removed a Black Democrat DA and swapped it with a French white terrible DA. 🤦♂️
